The Indiana Fever Are SCARY With Team Chemistry

The Indiana Fever Are SCARY With Team Chemistry. M
The Indiana Fever just won a big game against the Washington Mystics.
16 games into the season, Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever FINALLY Figured Out How To Win Basketball Games. The offense has been fast paced, which greatly benefits Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. Aliyah Boston has been excellent recently, and since she is the anchor of this team, good things happens when she plays good.

@@jeffwoodall1998 I truly hope she can get a handle on it. I think she WANTS to play with the team more but gets tunnel vision in the moment. Mitchell is currently ranked 42 on assists among league guards (wheeler 31, Wallace 33, Clark 2) - To have the current recorder holder for scoring on your team and not have her set up to be at least getting HALF the amount of assists to her as she provides is a huge coaching issue. *And it’s not just passes to Clark (though Mitchell for sure does not pass to her) Mitchell and Wheeler don’t really like to pass to anyone. They want to be given the ball and go 1-on-1 at all times even into collapsing coverage.

If Fever play a team with good guards they will get smoked without Hull or Celeste out there guarding their best guard scorer.

Clark can and has shot the mid-range shot. I think not doing it became a habit she is trying to break from college. In college when she drove to the mid-range she got used to having 3 people come to her, and that left her team mates open for drives or 3 point shots and she looked to pass. In the W she is left 1 on 1 more often on those drives and has yet to adjust her game. I saw a recent practice video with her working on pulling up for the mid-range, and I think she will start working it in more.

Aaliyah Edwards was a much better player than Aaliyah Boston on 6/07. Last night Edwards was dominated. Outscored 22-4 against Boston. This was the first game Kelsey Mitchell played within the offense. She was not a ball hog. CC controlled that game to perfection. She ran when she wanted to and slowed it down when she wanted to. CC got frustrated a few times when she came off of screens and no pass to her. Much less than normal though. As Fagbenle said, CC sees plays before they happen. Get her the ball when she ask for it.

Yeah, they figured out that they can't run the offense through CC and have Wheeler, a true point guard, running the offense more. The result has been CC has often been the 3rd or 4th highest scorer. She averages an assist for every turnover and can't dribble or shoot with her left hand. Basically, except for being able to hit a right-handed layup(Ooh! Impressive!) the closer she gets to the basket the worse she gets. The Fever's cupcake schedule of late is coming to an end so we'll see how good they are. The better teams don't have a dead spot on their offense for CC to defend and she's going to have to guard somebody. I predict a 10-12 turnover game coming. They haven't played the Lynx or Mercury yet and have the Aces and Seattle and Liberty soon. Reality's coming. Let's see who's right.

I'd like to see the bigs kick it out to teammates with open 3's once the D collapses. Wallace has a history of hitting open 3's. Perhaps she is just off this season but with that said I wanna see Hull on the floor more than Wallace. Hull plays tough D and can fly and brings great energy.
