As someone who’s born and lives in Suriname, this man “Bigi Bravo” aka Ronnie Brunswijk is again lowering the bar. I really hoped this was not getting so much buzz, boy was I wrong. This man is a disgrace to my country. You forgot about the rape allegations during the war. His political views and his support make him feel and act like a God.

Before anything else, thanks for the videos Alfie. :) Could you make a video on the starting XI that feature when Slovakia beat Denmark 3-0 in 2018? The Danish team weren’t allowed to play. Thus, players from Danish 2nd tier and even the futsal team had to fill in.

It's not that the Danish first team weren't allowed to play, they refused to because of a wage dispute with DBU (Danish FA).

When i saw the game live, i knew that a HITC Sevens would arrive

Suriname is probably the lesser known country with the most interesting football stories, both good and bad. On the good end, there are a lot of Dutch players of Surinamese descent, as mentioned. On the bad end, besides the story of Brunswijk "regime", there is also the crash of Surinam Airways flight 764 in 1989 carrying, among other passengers, the _Colourful 11_ which was an exhibition team of Dutch football players of Surinamese descent travelling to play with the champions of the Surinamese top flight. 15 players were killed, and three more had their careers ended because of the injuries sustained.

I want to hire him in my Football Manager to improve my post-Messi Barca team.

Rather "Boaw" than "Bow" Because A bow (as in bow and arrow) is pronounced in dutch as Bo... The "Bou" part in Bouterse for english speakers is "Boaw"

CONCACAF is the wild-west of world football and I wouldn’t have it any other way. While the confederation is getting better and more talented (particularly in the US, Mexico, Costa Rica and arguably Honduras) you’re always going to get weird stories like this and I’m here for it. I’m from U.S. and follow CONCACAF closely. When this story broke. Myself and others from here were like “Yeah this checks out.”

Please, make a video about what on Earth is going on in the Baltic football leagues (specially Latvia and Lithuania). Almost all the clubs that had been champions were dissolved or merged with other clubs.

The stadium they played in is not named after Brunswijk. Inter MT home stadium in Marowijne is named after him. The one IMT played in concacaf league is the Frank Essed Stadium, because the Ronnie Brunswijk stadium doesn't qualify for international matches.

I am extremely so happy to see Suriname and football club Inter Moengotapoe's vice president Ronnie Brumswijk sir as a 60 year old played for his own club despite ended up being defeated 6-0 by CD Olimpia(Honduras' side),good friends!!!Even though,he is a good but controversial person,he somehow worked extra hard to play for the club that he co owns at this age which is indeed extremely so remarkarble which I fully praise and give a salute on him,good friends!!!Hopefully,despite both the respective clubs have been suspended from the CONCACAF in their tournament,I fully hope that they would rise extremely so strongly in near future and to see Ronnie sir maybe playing his beloved club again and slowly develop Suriname into a war free country and clench his convictions by accepting the punishments which the courts over there would decide to hand over while maybe still playing football,good friends!!!:-D

To give a little more insight on what happened after the Olimpia match, the money given more as a gift, still stupid from the Olimpia players as gifts are obviously not allowed. Weirdly Pedro Troglio allowed this party vibe to happen in the dressing room and celebration. Apparently the celebration comes from the fact he rigged the score succesfuly as the last couple of goals defending was especially bad to say the least and his team missed a penalty comically bad. Olimpia players have been trolled to death as there were national team regulars, players that have appeared in the world cup even, involved and way to well financially to be thrown out of the competition like this.
