The Incredible History of Queen Victoria's Coronet!
This favourite sapphire coronet tiara of Queen Victoria has a long, rich history. 7 years ago, this exquisite coronet almost disappeared from England forever and nearly caused a national scandal.

The pieces designed by Albert are my favourites. He had such great taste. In my opinion 😂
Very beautiful - glad it reminds in Great Britain!!
Also, the "s" in "viscount" is silent.
Please continue to do videos on jewelry from Royal families

It hurts my throat to listen to this presenter's voice! -the way she talks in the back of her throat. Her mispronunciations make me think that the narration was done by A.I. at first. The information was interesting, but the way the tenses kept alternating between present and past within the same sentence was confusing.

I hope we can see it worn today
This coronet must be returned to the Royal family. Catherine should wear it.
If Prince Albert was so poor, as he is often portrayed, where on earth did he get the money for a sapphire and diamond brooch? Sad end to the tiara, now that would have a great piece for the Royal collection!

Well, a lot of people were hoping for the marriage to get influence over the queen, so it could be that his more affluent family members (like his uncle) gave him the jewelry to save face and encourage the union. Another possibility is that they were poor but still had some family jewels as it was scandalous to openly sell them and “advertise” one’s poverty. Families fallen on hard times would sell smaller, less recognizable pieces quietly to try and keep up appearances while leaving the more iconic and larger pieces for the 11th hour. Prince Phillip wasn’t wealthy either, but his mother still had various pieces left of their former fortune, including her tiara which she gifted to the queen.

Great point! I'm sure Albert and Victoria's King Uncle Leopold funded Albert's visits. . .@@dostagirl9551
