Brandon was Henry's frat brother. Escaping with his head was quite an accomplishment.

Also his daughter Frances was married to Henry Grey who was a great grandson of Elizabeth Woodville ..through her first marriage and we all know that she was married to King Edward IV so that makes Henry the VIII double related to his niece Francis. Because Elizabeth Woodville was married before. And of course the Tudor children were her grandchildren..by her oldest daughter Elizabeth of York and the Yorks had a Stronger claim to the throne than King Henry VII. Because his Mother Margaret was a direct descendent of John of gaunt and were as his children were born out of wedlock before he married their mother they were not even supposed to be in line to inherit the throne of England. The only reason why Henry Vii got the throne because of his wife..well also he defeated Richard III

There aren’t many films focusing on her as the main protagonist her character often is relegated to a supporting role in most Tudor series and movies. There’s a vintage film from the 50s the sword and the rose that focuses solely on her and a more recent series by Showtime “the Spanish princess” that gives main supporting roles to her and Margaret Tudor, the grandmother to Mary of Scots whose marriage would to the unification of English and Scottish thrones.

I enjoy this video but you didn’t even mention her children, and being a mother was of the utmost importance back then (and still is). Mary was the grandmother to Lady Jane Grey, which is an interesting story if you haven’t told it. Art is lovely…. I’m off to binge your channel now

Henry and Lizzie gave their children, an excellent education Henry VIII really loved his sister Mary and he loved Charles as a brother not a friend. Just like her great grandfather she dared to love a commoner as Edward loved Lady Elizabeth Woodville Grey.

Beautiful video, one of my favorite Tudor ladies! She was smart to orchestrate her own remarriage, whether for love or not, to return home instead of ending isolated in some foreign court. You left out the interesting bit of King Louis shipping Mother Guildford back to England, complaining the governess was limiting his 'access' to his young beautiful wife...piuhhh poor Mary!
