+Julialovegan S That's so awesome you're cutting out animal products! Earthlings tends to have that effect on people, at least people with a shred of compassion and empathy. It's probably made more people go vegan or vegetarian than any other documentary. Cowspiracy is an awesome one as well, and not as brutal and heartbreaking to watch. If you haven't seen it, you definitely should. It goes into the problem of animal agriculture on the environment, and is extremely eye opening. It's another one that has inspired many people to go vegan or vegetarian.

What a cool guy Could tell he doesn’t try to fake his way through people.

Apart from the way he said he got engaged

He is totally covered in this introvert energy and i love it, i can relate to him a lot!! He is in an uncomfortable situation but still manages to be funny, the valley girl thing and the engagement, he is funny and sweet! And yes I admit it my interest towards him grew after seeing the Joker but that movie was truly a masterpiece and i'm so glad it made me find out more about Joaquin 'cause he is such a fascinating person! Ellen did great with him here, i hope he goes back to her show one day!

Incomparable for sure. He is eccentric, engimatic, compelling to watch. Yeah, he might be weird but that's what I love about him. I still find him extremly attractive. And, he is for sure one of the best actors of his generation. People keep mentioning that Leonardo DiCaprio is deserving of an Oscar, how about Joaquin? If you look at Joaquin, he completely transforms posture, facial hair, speech, everything for a role. He is way more deserving of an Oscar, but the fact is, he doesn't care while Leo, really wants it. No disrespect to Ben Affleck.

It's fun seeing a guest on the ellen show that you know for a fact is a benevolent person that cares about others :) I love him and I love his animal rights advocacy... I love his beautiful heart. ❤

That is why Ellen loves him. They are both vegan and constantly fighting for animal rights! He was probaly one of the first vegans in Hollywood before it was "hip". Since he was a 4 year old. So many of the stars are vegan because of the hipster stuff and the loss of weight etc. Few are actually that because of animal's rights.

sarahamles Do you think we'll ever see the day when a First Lady of the US makes animal rights her devotion? I've written a letter to Canada pleading for humane treatment of their cute white seals who are bludgeoned to death to cull their ranks. Maybe a First Lady has the clout that I didn't have.

Hi just wanted to put this out there. THANK YOU ELLEN and Ellen's team for finally putting subtitles (closed captions) on the wonderful videos that all deaf people like myself can now enjoy! :) I used to love watching the visual elements and got some info from the body language etc but now I can fully understand what they are saying and it's just FANTASTIC!

Even with real life interviews of Joaquin Phoenix, I still see and hear the Arthur Fleck (Joker). It creeps me out, I really can't unsee Joaquin as the Joker. That's how good this actor is.

Took me 3 minutes to realize that this interview is done in 2015...

Joaquin is really genuine in twisted way its so relatable and great. The guy is just great at his job and seems like he likes it everything else is just more of a remainder.
