It works on so many levels. My daughter was born severely premature. I would stop at least twice a week at a place that sells fresh hot doughnuts. I would get 4 dozen hot glazed and set them on the counter of the nurses station as I walked by. For the 4 months she was there my child was royalty. It butch opens doors and sets impressions. I’m very polite and give goodies to the grunts in the form boards. A worker can open a door for you at the next job he bounces to

I've noticed a direct relationship between w/c ratio and strength. The C being coffee today.

Good morning good sir, I wanted to pick your brain about a product that I have come across. The company claims their concrete does not use portland cement at all, and they provided their SDS on their website. The 3 materials apart of the mix were crystalline Silica, Ashes (residues), and Titanium(IV) oxide. Their part B is Potassium silicate. They say do not even use water with their product. This product claims to chemically bond to concrete rather than "glue" to it like the various bonding agent additions. Curious if you could shed some knowledge on the chemical process they are using! Their company is called Terrafuse! They are quite expensive, so mostly trying to figure if they are worth the money!

Also their SDS for all their product is listed on their website with actual quantities of each part not disclosed but you can kinda tell because they give u a range

Hi Intelligent Concrete. My local petrol station does great chocolate filled doughnuts. Bit small but 3 for a quid. Can you advise me please! I built a flat roof brick building in my back garden. The concrete roof has blown in a few places. Once I have fixed that, I will put a flat roof paintable product on that has a fabric layer, like a fibre glass sheet. The problem is that I tried twice to fix the blown areas, and now I'm trying to find out to do it properly. For reference you could view the building on KZread if you search Marland Well House. I'd be grateful for any tips.

@@IntelligentConcrete How could I do that? The concrete roof is still in tact, but there is a hollow sound when I tap it. I've yet to break it out to see how it looks stripped back. One post said after cleaning out and hovering, the only way to get a good bond is to paint round some brick acid to ensure its really clean, wash out with water and dab off excess water before troweling on a mix (of what ratio?). I'd like to send pictures, but to be frank, there isn't much to see at present. It all looks fine until I tap it.

If you hear a hollow sound it seems like you’ll need to rip out a small section. Prepping with a cleaning agent like mutator acid is standard. I like to make the acid is cleaned and surface is neutralized. I wouldn’t mix up my own batch, just got to your local hardware store and get some premixed “top coat.”

@@IntelligentConcrete You make it sound easy! It was 'fixed' by professional builder twice, so can I do a better job than him? He did do a great job of the brick work. The job has moved on a bit now but you could get the idea from the KZread post I mentioned. It was filmed at dawn and there is an interesting light effect. There is a well inside. Water is the new gold. It is named after Marland Brick Works in Devonshire. There is a Marland brick set in the wall. My ancestor, 'Ganger' Martin was the site gaffer there, known for his fairness and philanthropy. Peter's Marland is the village where my dad went to school and is laid to rest. I really want to get this building right so it stands for 500 years.
