Matt Brown does not get enough respect. For a while he had the record for the most KOs in ufc history until Derrick Lewis broke it. But I think Matt was more impressive since he was a welterweight sleeping people like a heavyweight.

The Diego spinning elbow KO was absolutely brutal. I know it was close to being illegal, but it was still one of the most devastating KOs

Matt Brown is an awesome dude, went to his gym for a few months and it was great. Absolute badass and ufc legend.
Thank you Chael. Thank you Matt Brown for the great memories.
Mad RESPECT for The Immortal Matt Brown!
I live in Columbus and used to coach MMA. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to Matt numerous times at local fights. He’s a great guy and always humble! I always appreciated him spending even just a few minutes talking techniques and training with me.
The tough guy’s tough guy.
Truly a hybrid of OG and New Breed fighter. Can say his name along with Frye/Tank and Liddell/Jones in the same sentence and it'll make sense. Cheers to your retirement Mr Brown - Thanks for the memories brother 🤙🏾
From the stand point of pure muay thai, legit thai style fighting in mma, he was the first dude to really put the two together. His clinch game and trips were so far beyond anyone at the time it was just insane. Thank you Matt Brown for all the great memories.

I loved his takedowns and those sweeps he would do. The elbows too
Used to see him in the grocery store from time to time. Very fan friendly and humble guy.
He is in my all time favorite fighters list. And I am talking top 5. Such a true solid individual all the way through. Nothing but love for this man

His last KO win I was in a restaurant bar and it was on the TV, mid day. It was awesome to see a bunch of casuals watch Matt Brown get a highlight in the middle of a saturday.
Matt was one of the grittiest guys to ever step in the octagon. Absolutely brutal style. Even if you managed to win you were getting maimed. Easy fan favorite fight style, nothing but respect to an absolute legend. Thanks Matt for all the great fights, wish you the best in the future!
I love Matt brown ❤
GSP was my favorite fighter. Nick Diaz was my favorite fighter to watch. Matt Brown was #2 on both lists. Good everywhere.
I know Matt retired but jeezzz Look at Uncle Chael’s arms
True legend and a real man. Nothing but respect for Matt, thank you for years of incredible fights God Bless and enjoy your well deserved retirement. They don’t make them like Matt anymore, such a phenomenal career he will always be one of my favorites.
War Matt Brown forever. Godspeed, brother.

Watch his season of the ultimate fighter. It's awesome. He lost to the eventual winner, but definitely gave him an awesome fight.
Matt Brown helped me though some tuff times and seeing him come from a similar situation as my self. Always respected that man for being real. Thanks for all the memories Matt! Unc is lucky 😅

No matter what material they use to build that statue, it still won't be as hard as the man himself. 🤘😎🤘
thanks for an awesome career, glad I got to watch you kick ass live. Enjoy your retirement
I hope he does well after fighting! Glad you gave him the love!
Matt Brown is one of my favorite fighters. He is a savage fighter who is also somewhat of a philosopher. Think of how rare this is. Haha When I first saw him, I always thought, 'This guy is so stiff... he will never make it to the top.' Yet, look at his accolades. Effort and hard mo-fu'ing work must have brought him to where he is. I think of him as one of the few Welterweights that fought clean in the pre USADA era. Much respect to the guy.
I'm glad he retired healthy and seems like hes not suffering brain damage .

Unfortunately he’s been talking about concussion related symptoms like slurred speech and headaches since before the Cowboy KO. Wish him the best, hope he’s over those issues.
Thanks for all the videos chael
Legend
I was there when Chael had guests a lot, WWE guys, Olympic wrestlers, etc.
Matt Brown is one of the most underrated fighters in UFC history. He was always respectful and never rude..... unfortunately American audiences don't appreciate that. They prefer clowns who disrespect the sport and their fellow fighters. Sad.

Couldn't agree more. I don't really watch any sports these days, in large part because of the way the athletes behave. Also, because of how little the organizations do to actually deter the behavior.
Chael p the goat
Take notes guys, this is an example of The Bad Guy lowering the ladder down behind him to help other athletes transition after fighting. Uncle Chael has alluded to how much he values this philosophy and those who exemplify it in previous videos when discussing struggling to get a big break at the start of his career. 🎉
Nice touch, Chael.
Matt brown is awesome! I’m glad he’s getting to retire in a position where he’s happy that it’s over and excited to move on to the next thing. Not everyone gets to do that and I’m happy to see the Matt brown story had a happy ending, at least in the ufc.
Immortal respect
Matt Brown has been one of my favorite fighters. Always been a dog and had some crazy knockouts too. Happy next chapter bro 🤟
Matt Brown
His time at Westside Barbell, I think, also helped with his power and conditioning. Thanks for the amazing fights Matt, you were a true warrior, every bit like Musashi.
I hope Matt has a wonderful life ahead of him. I think all the fighters should try to stay active in the lives of all the older fighters who retire cause it can be rough transitioning into non-fighter life. I am glad we got to hear from Matt and I hope he has plans to stay busy cause I know it can be dangerous if you are not keeping busy.
Thanks for the memories. Enjoy the retirement. kings never die 🙏✌🏻
"There's plenty of Matt Brown out there, we've just gotta find them" Uncle Chael is still magic!
*HERO MAN 513❤*
I had thought of that aspect of the Ultimate Fighter before aswell... thinking, as a fighter, you have two reasons for being there.. to win, but also you have an opportunity learn from not only some of the best coaches you'll ever get to, you also are fighting as good of competition that youve ever seen in terms of sparring partners . If i did lose Id almost want to ask if i could stay and let them use me to help train the guys still in it.... ..get a shit ton of rounds under your belt with the best guys in two monhts time... Youd leave a f'kin monster..
Second time, first time! ... after just watching a random video of the great no less.
Matt Brown is an absolute legend, if he ever needs anything I believe the fanship would have his back 100%
King of the elbows you are a legend and you will be missed.
Never forget that matt brown beat tf out of wonderboy with like 3 10-8 rounds
One more matt
You favorite Matt Brown moment 👇 Mine: 1. The reaction to taking his chew on TUF 2. The Diego elbow from hell KO
Jimmy Jasta song is 🔥 . He was one of the best.
Class act
Matt Brown was an OG. Win or lose, he's a fighter you have to watch.
Matt Brown is a straight up kill or be killed type of guy. Highlight reel is crazy😬💯
Matt is one of my favorites. He wasn't an athlete, he wasn't some bjj wizard. He was a hard nosed fighter that fucked people up with determination and will. Watch his fight vs Eric Silva. Fyi for any metal fans , he was also at the Ponderosa night club when Dimebag Darrell was murdered. He did an interview about it on youtube
Matt Brown always reminded about boyka from the undisputed 2 film
Big Matt Brown fan. He is a real one
Big fan of Matt Brown - watch his fight against Eric Silva to see real grit. That fight gets stopped 5 times in todays age. Chael - these biopic videos are awesome, can you make one about Carlos Condit?
You know what you don’t hear? Him complaining about “fighter pay”! Thanks Chael, my respect for you went up 10 fold. Thanks Matt Brown for being a real one. I’ve been following UFC since 2002, glad Matt is enjoying retirement
When Matt Brown and Robbie Lawler were matched up, that was my two favorite fighters fighting each other.

matt brown still has my favorite ko of all time
According to Chael..Georges st Pierre, Lennox Lewis, and Matt Brown all went out on top. Truly a deeply insightful and wildly intelligent take.
Matt Brown has been around for 10,000 years. They don't call him Immortal for nothing.

Fun fact: Robert Kirkman is a big MMA fan & based "The Immortal" character from the "Invincible" comic on Matt Brown. 👍🏼😁
Huge soccers fan lol
Matt is an old goat!
Matt brown is the man
Something definitely happened with him. If he didn't have a losing record on the show, then it was like 10-10 or something. Dude had what, 7 straight at welterweight? That doesn't just happen. He's still to this day the most improved fighter I've ever seen.
Loved watching him fight, never missed one of them since the start.
🏁🏁🏁🙏🏼
Matt Brown is a badass 😎
THE IMMORTAL! 💪😎
Matt Brown is easily one of the most based fighters

Now that he's retired are we dropping the "im"? The Mortal Matt Brown
Matt Brown vs Chael Sonnen in BKFC
Legendary fights!!!! Always exciting win or lose. Guys a savage!
Great video Chael. I’ll take a video like this over a Jake Paul/ryan Garcia trash video anyday
Damn i wouldve loved to have seen Brown take his gloves off in the octogon & get the ovation for being amongst the toughest sombitches to ever do it. Hope they reconsider this
Tied for most knockouts in ufc. Weighs 170 lbs
😂LFGOO, pretty cool
DDP YOGA 😂
noice
Matt is a BMF. Sad he didn't get that 300 spot. Shame UFC.
Chael thanks for all the laughs. I remember watching you getting interviewed and you had the best personality. Still can't believed RIP JOE ROGAN. 😂😂😂. The dude is immortal 😂 P.s if you speak to Joe. Tell him do name one of his podcasts this. Fellow comedy brothers. It would send the Internet into meltdown 😂
The Immortal became Mortal 🙄🙂
Im hear. Not limping. No black guys.
