    As a former musician I can tell you(that thought he was very talented). You don't have to be musically all that good of a musician to get a record deal with some christian labels, you just have to be willing to change the messages. Prime example I had a rock song rose in bloom. It was literally about a girl I knew that was hooked on heroin that passed away. It was sold as a single on home written CDs. It made it to a label that offered a 50k development contract. The agent at the end of the deal said "we can just change the end to she finds Jesus". I was very perplexed. I'm like you know this was actually a person I knew, and she actually died. It was actually really sad, and now it's actually bullshit that someone thinks I should change her story and not share it as she lived it. Let's not just add artistic integrity, but it took a tragic person in my life and gave a learning example.

    That's totally un-Christ like of them to do that. If they don't want to keep the integrity of the song they shouldn't have even gave you the offer. If anything, they could've done an album of songs using content like yours mixed with songs exploring the hope Jesus offers. I will never understand why Christian music is so unrealistically sanitized. Jesus didn't even hang out with people who are already on the right path. He hung out with people who needed help the most- the completely forgotten, socially ostracized and suffering. Christian music is extremely boring and very rarely inspiring because of extreme, artificial sanitization of reality.

  • @FTZPLTC

    @FTZPLTC

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@yeahgirl11 - You gotta bear in mind, a lot of Christianity is sanitised for the benefit of Christians. They'll straight up lie about what's in their own damn Bible. Pre-mass literacy, you could get away with that kind of thing. Like, according to my dad, his grandmother refused to accept that Jesus would've been Jewish.

  • @yeahgirl11

    @yeahgirl11

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@FTZPLTC I think it's lying as well as most people not actually reading it, on top of willful ignorance. For example, when I point out that there is no such thing as hell and that I don't believe in it as a Christian, a lot of Protestants go haywire. If they actually read it, it says the lake of fire is reserved for Satan and his angels, not any human. Catholics actually don't believe in hell despite popular misconception, and other groups like Jehovah's Witnesses don't either. Jews don't believe in hell. Hell was the invention of Puritans (part of the Protestant reformation). No Christian who has actually read the bible can actually believe in hell because it makes God a liar...The bible even says that Jesus ministers to people who are dead so that they can go to heaven. Most Christians ignore the "from dust you came and to dust you shall return" part. That was literal.

    I'm originally from "TOC" as B-shoc or Da flame would say.... Went to high school with all these guys. They were 100% trying to upstart a music career. They made the website themselves... Brain Edmonds "B-shoc" was an outstanding tennis player, and actually earned a college scholarship. He dropped out of college to pursue a rap career. He got his start up money from his father is owns his own chiropractor business. The term flip flop entertainment, Brian calls his label , comes from a business Brians dad help him start.... flipping houses. Unfortunately that didn't work out so well. As far as I know Brian is still touring churches, with one of his hits "christlike cruising". Da blade is welder in atlanta, and mother owned very successful hair salon, that's how he got that "pimped out eclipse"...and the da freeze I believe is some sort of business man now.. actually surprised he got tangled up in that mess.... He was actually a pretty level headed, and cool guy.... Anyways.... Felt like sharing that info..

    For some reason, realizing that 2 IHS albums are literally lost to internet obscurity made me sad

    B-Shoc is also pretty famous for another song: Christ Like Cruisin', which became a meme in the car community at one time.

    I remember my girlfriend at the time way back when used the contact us link to write some fan mail and got a reply back in the same way the icy hot stuntas talked. Was one of those memories you just dont forget.

    I remember these guys!! Years ago, a friend and coworker burned me a mix cd of the worst music he had ever heard. Right at the top of the list was 'What What', by the Icy Hot Stuntaz. I think I still have the mp3 floating around somewhere. Always wondered what happened to them.

    If you ever find that mix you've got to upload it. I'd love to hear what fresh hell it has in store lol

    Oh man. I remember this. I was on a family vacation and my family were all gathered around the computer looking at different sites and cracking up. Good times.

    I love "local" music like this. It reminds me of a handful of horrorcore rappers that cropped up in my area in the mid 2000s...

    Omg I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Everytime Whang says "Icy Hot Stuntazzzz" and the way he says "DIMEE", I just lose it.
