The Huldufólk: Icelandic Elves
The Huldufólk or hidden people are a race of invisible beings said to inhabit Iceland. They are often referred to as "Elves" in English, but some disagree with this comparison.

Thank you so much!
Well, done young lady! What a soothing and delightful voice, perfect for storytelling. And you yourself, beautiful and inspiring. Your video was the perfect combination of entertainment and information. I am so happy I found you and can’t wait to check out the rest of your hard work
Your Icelandic elf fact reminds me of some people saying the Dwarves and Trolls could have been the busy Phoenician people keeping their distance.........
I get so excited when I see you in my notifications.

Awesome ! Thank U ! 🧚♀💜🧚♂
Wonderful informative. I learned a great deal from this video. I enjoyed how concepts of revisions and interpretations were pointed out while explaining the mythology. Just remember don't throw rocks or hit boulders.
Hi Anna, I’m glad I found your work. Going through the archives now and having a very pleasant listen. Wondering what might be a good way to reach out and see if you might like to work together on something? I feel like together we could lock down the “in-depth folklore content with a soothing voice” niche :)

In the middle east and Eastern Europe these invisible beings are known as jinns or Peri. Living along side us on Earth but in another dimension (a bit like Harry Potter when he enters Hogwarts) apparently they also have governments, professions and different classes of species. Some are highly civilised communities like humans and others are outcasts and less sophisticated in form (poltergeists etc)

Also the advanced civilised Huldufólk tend not to mix or meddle with human affairs. What appears to be a rocks or a large boulder (to us it will seem 10 metres wide, in their world 100s of miles) where they live in Iceland, opens up to a complete different dimension which is vast and huge.
I have learned from my heroic literature professor that the first Scandinavians in Iceland brought Irish Christian slaves with them to tend their lands. I wonder if the Irish immigrants brought over stories of sídhe-dwelling spirits which over time evolved into the huldufolk? They're both described in basically the same way, except huldufolk don't really live in mounds do they

A Belmont needs to find his Icelandic Elf maybe she can go by the name Sypha?
Wonderful telling. Since there are so many different cultures that believe(d) in elves, I try to stick to the neutral form, "little people," so as not to offend. My go to reference for "little people" is "Spirits, Fairies, Leprechauns, and Goblins" by author, Carol Rose
