I heard McKamey Manor is rigged. I heard that there were a few people close to finishing the challenge, and were fine to continue, but the host called it quits at the last minute "Aw, you don't look so good" etc. Pretty much just a ploy to not have to pay them It's all 'they said' vs 'they said', though, so take it with a grain of salt. I've always thought that the owner of McKamey is a sadist that is trying to get as close to making a snuff film as legally possible. That's why he screws over the few that come anywhere near close to making it through. The last thing he actually wants is someone bragging that they "Beat The Manor!"

Also i heard that they have it live on a torture website that goes live to make more money from it. Cant say if it is true but saw some of the interviews online saying how they treated everyone. you only have to bring a bag of dog food for payment and get cleared by a doctor that you are sane. I only know this because i'm from TN and wanted to try it but after looking into it and seeing the interviews I would never do it.

He no longer has the original land but just some land in Tennessee he does similar things with but refuses to let anyone win. There is no $20,000. A soldier tried to win it in Tennessee but the owner just outright refused and made him quit. I don’t think it’s much of a thing anymore.

This makes me miss working in a haunted house. I was broken doll in the little girls room. All dressed up, and when kneeling down, I was the same height as all the other dolls, no one ever picked me out from among them. One shreiking laugh, and I'd get people running face first into walls. My favorite were Scooby door runs, where their feet were going before they hit the floor, the guy who high step ran out, while holding his own ass (turns out, he had deficated) and the group of highschool guys that fell over and crawled out screaming. When there wasn't anyone in my area, I'd joke with the scary clowns on the other side of the wall, and we'd try to creep eachother out. And there were various guides who would follow groups and scare them, but also covered rooms if someone needed a bathroom break, or bring water or snacks when needed. They were also in charge of taking short cuts to spread guests names to everyone. A good haunted house always has a solid network. Both for the best scares, and for everyones safety.

But we did have rules like: no touching staff, and staff are to keep at least 3 feet away at all times. And if the owner came through with a flash light, and said, I think it was low scare? Than it meant there was a kid, or someone else who wanted to see but not be frightened, and we weren't allowed to scare them. Interesting thing about all that paperwork you sign at McKamey Manor, it doesn't mean squat legally. You cannot torture someone even if you have their permission. It's one of the issues people can run into the the BDSM community. The slave number you paid for and gave to the Dom/Domme means nothing to the police or courts. Neither does you saying you like nipple clamps and being beaten. It can still all land you in jail if you are the one inflicting the fun. So if someone chose to have him arrested they could.

Along with picking her up and all of this other awful shit, while he filmed the whole thing. I didn't know about it until after, and though I was underage at the time, while also being under awful management, I wish I could have helped her. We were just working on Friday and Saturday evening, not much money, some actually lost money to work there, but they did it to vent, to relax and have fun. So much attention for the good costumes (we brought our own because what was offered was crap), even fans looking for us on our forum to praise us. It was just great on the street, right in the middle of the masses, stalking, hunting, shouting and threatening. Then the battles with the other scaractors that drew even more attention even tho they all happened near park closing where we had the space to move freely and wield our (foam) weapons without trouble. There still were people who ran into us despite us keeping to one side of the road, from behind, and told us we did wrong because we didn't see them. Yeah, I always have time to look behind me and listen through a helmet and over the clatter of my plate armor while being under attack of a decent fighter. And the parties after closing, so much fun, we were a tight knit community and quickly became friends. Also yes, we had plenty of chats about people we scared, the best jumps and screams from them, the stumbles and fumbles, the complaints about the unfriendly people who just yelled "PHOTO!" and waved their cameras, which some snatched up and took a photo of them before handing them back.

That show was incredibly disappointing. I'm a big Mike Flanagan fan, but I didn't like Midnight Mass at all. I think people are confusing a bunch of poorly written monologues with good content. The characters were shallow and the plot twists were very easy to see coming. This show doesn't deserve to be compared to Hill House or Bly Manor.

There's a HUGE difference between experiencing cerebral (thoughtful) fright and just simply having the crap utterly beat out of you. Mckamey Manor isn't good Halloween fun; it's allowing a seriously sick man to violate you (think Hostel IRL), capitalizing on the participants' naive assumption that he "can't do that" or that his intentions are the least bit concerned for your safety. $20,000 prize? Use that brain before they pummel it! When you have signed away any boundaries, there is NO way you will win. He can literally hurt you to the point of death before the time limit is reached. I can't believe they convict Dr. Kevorkian for giving dying people a dignified, fully elective death, but they allow this man to continue these assaults without consequence. Please have a safe and fun Halloween season and enjoy scares that don't leave scars!

And if you are a special kink that needs actual torture, well, there are professional people you can pay to do it safely and you can usually talk to them before and set up certain rules and safe words.

I worked at my local haunt for one night and then had to quit. It was DEFINITELY a sketchy operation. I had sent in an audition form earlier the dame day, and then got asked to come in. When I got there, they were supposed to do a Covid screening and an interview and stuff (as per their website, they screened all actors nightly) but all they did was ask me my name, and then tell me I would be playing a zombie in the maze. Within the first hour another actor had a seizure because of the strobes in the maze. We were also in medical masks underneath two inch thick latex masks. They had the fog machines on WAAAY too high to the point where a couple guests had to take their inhalers and the actors eyes and lungs were burning. THEN, after 8 hours of that, they "paid" us in poker chips. If we worked the equivalent of 200+ hours by the end of the season, we could turn them in in exchange for a hoodie.

In all seriousness, McKamy Manor is not an extreme haunt. McKamy himself does not claim the haunted house title and the haunt community (which I work in) also does not claim them as a haunt. They are an extreme survival experience that allows people to legally beat people until they break. He also always has a reason as to not give someone the money. He just keeps them going till they break or makes an excuse if someone supposedly did. And by mentioning in the video, they get publicity they do not need.

Thankfully anyone curious to look into it now will find that its pretty much defunct. Russ hasnt made any post on his social media or KZread channel in five years at this point. TN law also forced Russ to change how the manor is. Its no longer an "extreme survival experience". Its just people doing physical exercises in Russ's yard while he films them, and all the controversies and disdain from the community of Summertown TN has pretty much forced Russ to abandon it. I dont know if its still operating now, but if it is, its not getting any attention or patrons. Funny enough every Halloween, the local news in TN always warn people about McKamey Manor and bring up Russ's controversial past, thus pushing it further into obscurity Safe to say at this point, nobody should be worried about McKamey Manor.

McKamey Manor isn't a consensual extreme haunt. There are reports by people who went through with it that safe words were not honored and that people who do end up quiting, leave with lasting physical and psychological injuries, to add insult to injury, Russ McKamey makes the participants film an after haunt interview to discredit any allegations of assault and retraction of consent. So if anything the extreme haunt of this movie is just a dramatization of actual McKamey Manor events.

He shut it down in California and moved due to not paying taxes. He moved to Tennessee, but once word got around, TN law forced him to change the "haunt". People who have gone there since have said its just you, Russ, and his camera, and all he does is film you as you do very rigorous exercises in his yard. Every year around October, the news stations here in TN talk about the Manor and Russ's controversial past, pretty much warning people to stay away. Other people have said that Russ will end the tour even if you're doing perfectly fine. One guy went through it and made it a few hours doing exercises before Russ stopped it. Ever since then no one believes that the $20k reward exists. He hasnt made any major posts on his social media or uploaded to his KZread in over five years. I dont know if its still operating, but all the controversy has pretty much sunk it dead in the water. Nobody visits it and those that do dont even bother to mention it

They drown them, choke them, force feed them, drug them, and most of that happens before the waiver. I wouldn’t be bothered but the workers aren’t required to know CPR or first aid. Now the newest version of the Manor is nothing but a scam and not even a haunted house but a physical gauntlet. No one can get through it because McKamey ends it before anyone can win the prize. You don't want to go to the Manor any more because it isn't fear based and no one is allowed to win.

  • @zaynes5094

    @zaynes5094

    9 ай бұрын

@Blightmaster889 Well not quite, but I'm sure it does happen more than we'd like it to. Two sisters were at a haunted attraction in I think Florida, and they were both teenagers at the time, but they were grabbed by two scare actors, one female the other male, with fake knives and blood all over them, and they were basically forced to watch these two makeout and, covered in fake blood, forced the sisters to act out a simulated sexual scenario with EACH OTHER, now the fact they told the scare actors that they actually were not dating but were sisters and were still forced by a group of the scare actors to get up on a fake bloody bed and essentially have a weird, f**ked up foursome, that really messed with them. They sued that company and they sued the two scare actors as well. Now, another friend, that my friend the part-time scare actor, Shannon, introduced me to a few years ago, said that once she was in this haunted house attraction, she was like 14-15 at the time, and it was just a normal corn maze but had been changed for the season to match the creepy vibes. She knew the people putting on the haunted maze too so she wasn't so worried about it. And she said that one of the scare actors in a Michael Myers black mask grabbed her wrist at one point and she managed to yank her arm free, her and her group of 4 friends took off running full speed, and eventually she lost her way in the maze. She knew the people putting it on, and she knew the farm, but she didn't know how the corn maze worked, so she found herself lost. Eventually, that same Michael Myers-wearing masked dude, who was indeed fairly tall and muscular, walked to her, and grabbed her arm, he only said one word after she asked if he could touch her like that which was, "Shut up little girl!" She, feeling him grope her butt, like full on grope her, she managed to use her bag that was full of candy, and she hit him with it before she took off running, eventually coming out into another clearing and she hid from him in the tall corn field. She heard his loud, heavy footsteps and breathing as he went right by her and didn't even see her in her Halloween costume. She then ran back the way she came and reversed her own footsteps and followed them back to the main trail which was marked up and where she found that same dude. She ran and found her friends back at the 'base' and told them all about what happened. She found that same tall Michael Myers mask gone and the mask broken into pieces on the ground. The owners called the police but they came and took the mask but she didn't get any information on what happened to the guy or who he was.

Mckamy manor is rigged as people who were able to continue were told they had to stop for safety reasons which is clearly to make sure they don’t need to pay people anything.

"Have you ever seen a zombie shoot a gun?" Me: Resident Evil. I've seen a zombie ride a motorcycle and try to attack someone else on a motorcycle. Plus Resident Evil is *full* of zombies doing stuff normal zombies don't do.

Every time I bring up this movie with coworkers or friends they're like "I've never heard of this" and I think this is a GREAT movie. I saw it the first time ever my sophomore year with my sister and BIL right after coming home from a haunted house/haunted hayride and it was a great end to the night and Everytime I watch it I see new little details I never noticed before

I'd recommend watching HannahTheHorrible's video of McKamey Manor. She talks shit about it but also points out how the whole thing is just a legal loophole for this guy to torture people and he does some shady stuff.

I used to caretake at a ranch not so far away from the haunted house where the killers start tracking the protagonists in Caddo Mills/Royse City. It would have cars around it year round and there'd be promo flyers everywhere and then as Halloween approached they'd thin out and SOMETIMES it would open, but usually it wasn't. That would continue until after the first weekend of November, and right after that it would fill up with cars coming and going and promo materials would start appearing locally again. We joked that we had the only haunted house that closes up on Halloween and theorized that it was actually a front for meth operations, but that's a rumor. It was pretty erratic. It's gone now and I think the lot is up for sale, minus the building.

5:00 This is not a coffin. This is a casket. There are differences. A coffin is a wooden box, while a casket can be a wooden box with a finish and cloth inside, as well as caskets can be metal. I can't tell what the casket is in this scene due to the lighting but it's probably metal, perhaps a 20 gauge. Oh and coffins are usually co

coffins usually have six sides, the head, two sides that jut down to the left and right, the two long ends and the foot, while caskets usually have four sides, the head, two sides and the foot.

Coffins as well only have a single lid and caskets have two, one to put the body in through and one to show off the body during a funeral.

the major difference comes in the shape of the coffin/casket as you said coffins have 6 sides. but coffins are made of many materials (not just straight up wood)- including steel, various types of wood, and other mats like fiberglass and even recycled kraft paper. there is emerging interest in eco-friendly coffins made of purely natural materials such as bamboo, X-Board, willow or banana leaf
