Casey, you need to swap out the oil pump and also pan they sell a rear mount conversion oil pan. It has a conversion for it for rear drive. The oil pump is the weak link on the K 24 because the chain that drives the oil pump I think they convert the K 24 pump to a K 20🤔👍🏼😊❤

Tf works ftw. Jimmy oakes has a pretty informative video on it he did the same swap with his 86 but i believe he used a different transmission.

probably want to use the k24 pump with solid mounts, it's going to buzz like crazy with the k20 pump. k24 pump will be fine for standard redline...

They only change the pump to be able to rev to 10k. You are right about rear wheel drive oil pan though. The baffling is different so it doesn't oil starve the motor on acceleration. Honda head here.

Get the car level on jack stands and then put a level across that flat plate across the top of the transmission side-to-side. That should get the "tilt" of the engine pretty close, I think.

Nice AE85 you got there. i had an AE88 25 years ago. The LSD and rear discs would be nice. When you get to the springs if you make a notch in the bracket/tab on the strut that hold the brake line you can make it easier to remove the struts in the future since you don't have to disconnected the brake lines to remove the struts. When you lower it a lot you will have contact on the little tab front of the wheelwell to fender. People often put in zip ties through the fender to bumper where you can see then. It's easy and clean to put the zip time on the little flange where you don't see it. I think we both agree clean cars look better.

This is the first build I am sitting here going. Huh? This Toyota might be the one and only build I haven't been like "HELL YEA HE IS READING BY MIND!! All the trucks and everything. I think the CRV and the Blazer are gonna be my favorites. I can't wait till their done. Also that 2 Dr accord was my 2nd car in white with a Manuel dropped mine with 18" wheels when that size was unheard of. Think mine was a 1990 and I got in 1992. My favorite car for a long time after I had a Maxima don't remember year but mid to later 90's with the rounder low body already but black in and out, with a 5-speed manual, perfect car. When I was done a friend drove it 10+ more years. Accord went to a friend and a couple years and a small accident and then a little while later an accident that wasn't small at all!!!! I grew up in a family of car dealers and dealerships!!!! Ran threw a bunch of fun cars but after I got done getting like I wanted dad would sell it and on to the next one. Good thing is I never made a payment. Bank held title and did a short note. Sold before ran out of time and started on the next one!!!lol. Its still never ending just slowed down. Don't buy as many as you. If I had 5 none would've be finished!!!!

ATpower has a badass integrated drysump oil system that utilizes the factory oil pump chain, very very compact for a drysump setup. I know it's expensive. However it's cost effective in comparison to conventional external belt drive dry sump systems. I'm excited to see what comes of your motor mount situation pinching the engine, looks like it will be difficult to slide out once unbolted from the solid mount, that ATPower sump may make it slide out easier??? The build is still early and you are putting in work. Mad respect! Good job. I am excited for more!

Or from a Honda vehicle that would not need a bunch of custom fabrication!!!!! So just throwing that idea out there for you to ponder on!!!!!!
