Look everyone, it's true that the LOTR trilogy (arguably one of the finest trilogies of all cinema) is better than The Hobbit trilogy but that's alright. There is no need to bash The Hobbit at all times. It is still better than most other movie trilogies out there. I have so many fond memories attached to both these projects from Peter Jackson. I thank you sir.

Even if you compare the books, there's no question that The Lord of the Rings was, and still is, the superior story between the two. Peter Jackson's just working with the source material that was given to him. He might have taken some liberties here and there, but the core story is still there. IMHO, we were _spoiled_ by having LOTR get adapted first. If you watch The Hobbit after you watch The Lord of the Rings, it's not going to seem as good, because how is The Hobbit ever going to top LOTR? But if you watch them in chronological order, then the quality goes up instead of down.

@@Bauglir100 The Hobbit trilogy feels like an expansion of the story. While the LOTR movies are much compressed. All and all, The Hobbit were never going to top LOTR. But having just read the book again. Its masterful work, even if I could wish for more practical effects.

Yup. tho I did just do a fan edit of the hobbit, but it's still good. Definitely middle earth. Now itll be interesting to see the LOTR fandom tear apart the Amazon series (if they mess it up which so far looks like they will) as we've never seen the power of the LOTR community if they dont like something as both LOTR and The Hobbit were revived well.
