Also, the US only has 2 countries with lesser military bordering it's mainland. An invasion onto US mainland from across the sea will also be extremely difficult especially with modern day technology and defense. It'd be suicide. So the US is in a position where it is better off than the Mongols. Right now, the only way I see the US being taken over is by starting the invasion from within the country itself.

Interesting to see the progression of the United States, from being a colony of England then Britain to becoming the most powerful and international country in the world today. I love learning a lot about history through reading and watching mapping histories. America also took the Philippines, Guam and Samoa btw. These three constituents were colonies of the USA, with Samoa still under American rule.

***** So what you're saying is that the US is a hypocritical nation that promotes cheating by not enforcing old, "outdated" laws against cheating. That makes it so much better. You said "many states have a law that technically forbids adultery" meaning some states condone it outright. Hellywood corroborates with the United States being an immoral pigsty no better than anywhere. Kazakhstan according to Borat exists in perverse American minds, not in actual Kazakhstan, for instance.

What's the difference between U.S. territories like Puerto Rico & Guam compared to territories like the Arizona Territory or the Northwest Territory?

HeadHusky So theoretically all the overseas territories could become states if they followed the steps all the continental territories did?

Territories are areas that are under U.S. jurisdiction but have not become states yet. Those territories became states once they had enough population just the same as how Puerto Rico can become a state but has so far decided not to.

Great video, you even had the little piece of territory that used to be a part of Ohio ‘The Gore’, that is in the south western part of the state. To bad it is now a part of Indiana, maybe someday we could buy it from Indiana, so we could have the states original planned border, before we gave it away. Cheers
