I'm glad you started explaining the native population from the broad introduction rather than starting off with the usual pilgrim + new england relations with the natives. Also the chronological pacing was really well done and really puts into perspective the grand timeline the US has gone through, rather than stretching it out for an academic year and poorly connecting each event with the next. Bill Wurtz's was greatly enjoyable but his was made intentionally vague as it was meant to just be a brief overview, whereas yours was very detailed and nuanced. Bill Wurtz's gives breath into widening people's foreign understanding of the world to stray away from western-centric history, establish a foundational understanding of the world, all while being digestibly entertaining. Whereas yours dives into depths genuinely twice as deep than any textbook can dive into, as they ignore otherwise crucial subtleties that you included. Your video gives a strong wave of information in such a slapstick compilation of US events and it's greatly appreciated. Your video may have been inspired by Bill Wurtz, with the lightheartededly quick snapshots and explanations w/ jokes, it's obvious the video was made by another masterful comedian and historian with hopes to educate his viewers. Although Wurtz's video may have been an LSD wet dream, I genuinely prefer your video over his. Well done mate 👍

7:50 my favourite part
*5 years and still no new history videos from bill wurtz* “Wait! said krispykarim. (Probably smoking crack) Since we have an obviously entertaining way of making history videos and bill wurtz doesn’t have any intention of making more, how about we just make them ourselves?” Established history KZreadrs: “nah man we got this.”

and then krispykarim made a video, and it was great!
Using this for apush throughout the entirety of this next year 🔥
I'm taking every moment of this video seriously, as I am genuinely using it to study for my AP US history test
I don’t know how I got recommended this video, but I am glad I did. Never have I seen such high effort put into a video with so little views. Remember me when this blows up.

This is a great homage to Bill Wurtz’s legacy. The samples and humor are just spot on.

9:57 Rebranding in a nutshell
pro tip: wurtz usually speeds up his dialogue by a little bit for every video
Someone in my US History 1 class recommended this and we watched it on the last day of school. A lot of people didn't see the bill wurtz video but they enjoyed this one a lot
Recently stumbled across this video and I have to say that its production value and animation shocked me. Keep up the the excellent work!
this video was awesome! Great job, I can tell the inspiration from Bill, but I honestly feel you put your own twist and energy into it. Keep going man, your doing awesome!
The cool lincoln edit makes me so happy
the illustrations are what elevates this beyond any mere copy of this format, i think (among several other great parts)
At 6:17 when Lincoln comes up on the screen I almost couldn’t stop laughing 😂
The pre-columbian history part was actually surprisingly detailed. I want to know more! Give me more!
This taught me more than my social studies teacher, georgraphy teacher, and civics all at once.
INSANE!!! the amount of work that went i to this is incredibly appreciated
6:36 best description of the anaconda plan ever
"Then we buy the universe, or maybe go extinct idk." This is painfully accurate.
I watched this video right after history class. Unlike those boring textbooks and papers in class this was entertaining
6:51 there was no reason for that transition to be that smooth
Did y’all know that originally Bill was going to do “History of the United States, I guess” instead of “History of Japan, I guess”

Awesome job. I love the style. I always wished Bill Wurtz had continued doing these kinds of videos like he did for the world and Japan. Great idea doing this finally as there is definitely demand for it. Hope your channel blows up!
