Its kinda sad how the Friesian went from being the most beloved and respected horse breed in game to a joke that most people dislike 😭

it is so unbelivably sad what they did to them...they didn't deserve this.... they were THAT breed the most magestic breed of horse in sso... now if i see someone riding the gen 3 i cringe

The dark emo kid reminds me a thing that lot of people tend to forget today ( or never lived): the fact we had for few years only ONE single pants which has the max stats, the infamous black capris used by every emo kid in Steve's farm. It took them a long time to finally add more choices but it's something which always sound so weird to me, used to regular MMORPGs where you have tons of armors, the possibility to craft, loot or add bonus stuff to upgrade your armors.

this video is so special to me! the g2 friesian was the first horse i bought when i got starrider. i remember my exact feeling of happiness when i rode into steves farm to get my own friesian after seeing my friends ride around with one. such a great memory

I still haven't gotten over my Love for the friesians! Of course I love my gen 1 friesian but I have 3 maxed out gen 2 friesians and Idc how much new players and old players like the newer models of horses. Gen 2 will always be my go to for wanting to ride a horse around or do quests with. I love the development star stable is taking but I just wish we could get friesians like the old ones we loved

The fun part was that, 4 ago i was on a nostalgic trip over the fresians XD When i played as a kid i CRAVED a fresian, it was the cool kids horse and it was so pretty! I started to save for one, and i had 800 and something from the 990 Star coins i needed, just one more Saturday of Star Rider and i would have gotten it! But my Star Rider would end before it, so on impulse i bought the appaloosa one, named him Nightshadow. And man this was the only horse i ever rode for years and years, and it became kind of my horse on the game, so much that when a server launched for my region, on passing your account was reset and you won all of the star coins you ever had back, and the first thing i did once getting to level was buy that sport fresian again, with the same name and everything! To this day is it still on my home stable. When the "vintage market" was launched i was looking at the horses and things and i remember Nightshadow and how i really wanted to fit in with a og fresian but caved and bought a sport one. Needless to say i am now the proud owner of a gen 1 fresian horse! XD

Thank you for making these nostalgic documentaries! ❤ I experienced old SSO through KZread, but I wish I could've experienced it myself 😔 Now SS Season Riders stay as the only way to have a glimpse of that feeling...

5:00 agree G1 felt like a luxury to have, leaving many players (and me!) jealous for it Their shape/design was cartoonish and gorgeous. I was obsessed with them❤ G2 is skinner to compare with no feathers

The game isn't the same anymore, you don't see players with the Gen 1's anymore. . . I remember the good old days when players were actually having fun.

Hi ! I am a player since summer 2015, still proudly riding my gen 1 frisian horse and all my others gen 1 even though I have a lot of critics of them being so “ugly” and “outdated” I will continue to love them unconditionally. Still dressing like in 2015 with the emo makeup…We are pretty nostalgic on the French servers and a lot of old players still proudly ride them at steve’s farm :)

Very nice video. I never had much time with first generation Friesians- I wasn't allowed to spend money on games back then, haha. They don't seem as impressive now (technically still being a copy of the starter but with more moving parts / edits) but I definitely understand the significance. Gen two was the first I ever owned, the white Sport version. I put him in all western tack because I thought it was funny to do the opposite of the breed's intent. Eventually I maxed out his level and never really took him out of the stables again. When gen 3 came out with all its goofy idle moves, I honestly loved it for how much of a shock it was compared to everyone's expectations. Dressage groups used to pick on the western club I was in at the time, so I'd gotten a bit of a grudge toward the whole practice. I bought a plain black one, later grabbing both of the magic variants since I was eager for anything remotely cold-blooded. The gaits are definitely lacking, and the dragons' spindly tails and lack of fangs just make all of the flaws stick out even more. They do have some charm of their own, I think- just not the kind the community wanted. I do really hope they get another update of some sort. One that doesn't ruin them permanently like they did to the Trakehners..

it's nice that you have a lot of nostalgia and appreciation for the game whilst still being able to be critical and point out it's flaws.

Oh the old Friesians ❤ Gen 1 was the best imo, for some reason that one still resembles the real life Friesian the most to me. It's maybe not the model but defenitely the vibe. I've been around real life Friesians. Their vibe is golden, unique and fair. Somehow I see that in the gen 1 Friesians too. The gen 2 is cute but a bit too barbieish to me, doesn't give off that same vibe. Beautiful horses tough. For the gen 3, I like the coat colours and the mane but the proportions of the horse seem off. The idle animations are so hyper active, too much for a Friesian. I have seen them doing the stretch tough. I like the trot with the high knee action, pretty accurate.

I honestly think that with the G3 Friesians, that they were trying moreso to keep the look of earlier generation Friesian horses, but they just didn’t do it very well.

3rd Gen Friesian? Who’s she? Never heard of her😀 (3years and I’m still in denial 🥲)

Oh my god I remember in early 2015, I finally got lifetime starrider and finally unlocked steves! You can imagine one of the first things I did was get myself some cool ass clothes, completely stat-less of course as they game from the SR store (begone green jacket and brown pants!!) and a frisean. I distinctly remember texting my friend who I played religiously with a picture of my new setup with the caption "I'M COOL NOW". Those were the days...

Your videos are amazing. Honestly none of the friesians look realistic in my opinion. But I am fond of gen 1 and 2. Gen 3 is just nightmare fuel to me haha.

I still remember when g1 friesian came out, EVERY. SINGLE. PLAYER. had it and I had neither player level or star coins to get it myself. Like if you wanted to see someone not riding one you had to go to non-SR areas. Thank god that "emo outfit" wasn't a thing back then and everyone combined their friesian with bright colors. Now I am a happy owner of all three variations of g1 friesian 😊

Can you imagine how the fresians, Andalusian, and lustiano would look NOW?? With how amazing and realisitc the horse models are i would absolutely fawn over a gen 4 Andalusian!

Honestly, I don't know if other people made the same mistake as I did as a kid, but I wish I never got rid of my gen 1 friesian horse :(

My gosh... I remember when the lovely Friesian came out and the only thing I could do was... *Get down on my knees* and asking my mom, "Can I have Star Coins plz!" :'D They were such a huge deal back then it was insane ♥Still wish it was possible to play the old Star Stable one more time ♥

I love the gen 3 friesian horse but i just wish they’d remake the gallop-jump, the gallop, the rear, the hard-stop (from canter/gallop to a halt) and the walk, but the trot, canter, fast canter and the jump at canter and fast canter I’m actually ok with! But i wish they’d tone down the “stallion vibe” with this model. I really really want to have that friesian but the animations seems so odd and not realistic, same goes for the fin-horse, but not the idle movements, I’d wish they’d remake the ,gallop and the jump same goes for the hard-stop. They are beautiful! But same here, the animations are a bit to odd😢

I still prefer the g1 Friesian horse, to me the Jorvik Friesian was so disappointing. But now we're having another updated Friesian releasing sometime this year I think, and I hope it's a lot better than the Jorvik one...
