I do love the subtitles of your videos. Lovely script and highly readable. I agree with everything you've said! I don't understand how they could have got this one so wrong after everything they achieved with Camp Western which had so many things to do and a nice balance between how difficult it was to get gold and tokens and the rewards for getting them at all. I'm also annoyed at the hamfisted attempt at inclusivity, by simply replacing the word 'Christmas' with 'Winter'. A lot of people from other religions also happily celebrate Christmas, and are insulted by the suggestion that we should stop using the word because of them. And that whole script where Mrs Holdsworth says what 'Winter' means to her is ridiculous - in the north of the world, Winter has always meant death! Which is why there are celebrations in the middle of it like Yule, Sol Invictus and Christmas. It's just offensively stupid...

I'm grateful that you recognize my editing and writing! :) ♡ ooh I know right... the concept of the Christmas magic sort of tarnished firefly catching in the Hollow Woods for me because now whenever a new event rolls around, I'm going to expect a recycle of the firefly catching mechanic! I have absolutely no motivation to participate in this year's festival personally, which is really disappointing because I was looking forward to spending my holiday on Star Stable ): I completely agree with your statement about inclusivity, I would have much preferred if they included traditions from all sorts of different cultures, much like what we see with Lucia! Christmas has not felt like Christmas since 2017, seeing this wonderful event become more and more darker and abandoned each year has been incredibly sad to watch Thank you so much for your comment! It's odd that they could make such a good job of the one and yet completely half-bake the second. I really do wonder what passes for thinking at SSO...

7:17 god yes. i was chatting with someone on youtube earlier and they said they could not enter their homestable for 4 days. 4 days that they had to ride around on their DRAGON HORSE (they said they currently still can't enter). bugs used to be silly and funny but the bugs are getting to a point where the game is unplayable. players can't feed their horse, they can't enter their homestable, quests can't be done or they just simply CAN'T PLAY. it is also just annyoing to always hold a chainsaw in your hand. but just by the way of looking at the "new", unfinished UI we can tell that sso can't. keep. up. especially with the bugs. it scares me a little ngl. 😭

Oh I could NOT omg I would have to catch a flight to Sweden and go Karen on the entire dev team I'm afraid... That's AWFUL. Yesterday I crashed over 6 times, not a network error or anything... just... game shut down without any warning... it was very inconvenient because I was filming and the recordings became corrupted whenever the game would crash T_T I'm genuinely scared for the game too, what I would give for the Fort Pinta cafe flying glitch over whatever we have now... >_< Thank you for your comment!! ♡

@@helIokittii’ve been having the crashing problem too! ever since the wild woods came out my game just seems to crash constantly! i thought it might be because of all the water and new graphics trying to load in, but i’ve turned my reflections off and have my graphics quality as low as it can go and the game still just freezes and shuts down. it’s getting to the point of unplayability. it’s so frustrating to be in the middle of a quest or race and just have my game shut down! i don’t have problems on any other games; and my internet is just fine. so i would assume it’s just a problem on star stables side, but i’m really at a loss of what to do

The StarStable Team has to see this and maybe rethink their decisions on the game. Kitti you are so right! Thank you for speaking up!

Admittedly, they have impressed me this year! But they need to get a grip on Christmas... this is the most important time of year for their game from a business standpoint, players are on their winter break from school, willing to spend their Christmas money on star coins... they could drive themselves to a point of no return if they continue to ruin Christmas with lackluster activities and game-breaking bugs! I love your reviews and documentaries, they bring a really good voice of reason in this harsh community! As a new member to the community your videos have helped me learn the history of Star Stable and showed me how sugar coated and unfortunately unrealistic the game is (in terms of star coins and the Star Stable 'economy'). I also find it really cool seeing the old Star Stable I played around 2015 as I can barley remember it. I agree with our statements about the bugs and also your positive perspective on the new activities and such, so thank you : )

The first time I played in the winter village, as soon as I turned away from my computer everything in my room had a yellow like tinge to it (thats the best way I can explain it). Like the purple colors had screwed with my eyesight.

THAT'S AWFUL!!! I've experienced something similar to that while staring at other sights for too long, it's genuinely pretty scary! I hate how players of the community who are prone to migraines or headaches have to rely on a third party program (Reshade) to help them out! It isn't even accessible on Mac or low-end computers, it's a bit disappointing in Star Stable's case ): Thank you for your comment! ♡

I think its an adorable area, I was wondering if they'd put the fort pinta exclusive horse for lvl 1s at this camp.

I don't know how they could worry about giving out too many star coins, shillings, XP, etc when a lot of players easily exploit SSO for those things anyway! It's all pretty much a joke now, when I compare it to how sacred these currencies were back in the earlier days of SSO.. thank you for your comment!! ;w; ♡

hey Kitti! This update is beyond questionable, and I don't think many people can change my mind about that. I logged on quickly to review what happened this year, and it doesn't feel like Star Stable. Mrs Holdsworth looks indescribable, and everything looks like a whole different game. But then again, I've seen a handful of videos saying that it doesn't feel like Christmas because we are older, and people need to get into the spirit themselves. Do we have to do that with Star Stable? I mean, it doesn't feel magical anymore because we've grown up, but do the younger kids on the game feel like we did? Then again, star coins were always expensive, but we didn't understand the concept of money. I really think the reason we think horses and the areas look weird is because we just see a game. We didn't before, we lived on Star Stable. My family always thought Star Stable was seeking for money, but I didn't view it that way, because I was younger. Anyways, I love how relaxing your videos are. I hope you have a great rest of your holidays.

As someone who's never paid a red cent into the game, but has been playing since 2017, the reaction to non-star riders was very strange to me. Much like Animal Jam, SSO has a bit of that non-member & member tension going on, except far worse. At least AJ non-members could do a lot of stuff in the game, and go virtually anywhere. With Star Stable, you are confined to a very small space compared to the overall map just because you can't sink a ridiculous amount of money into it. In my case, it was because my parents would've never paid money for an online game. The way that SSO set up the non-star rider vs. star rider thing, I think, was extremely poor marketing and it's a theory of mine that they likely lost a _lot_ of potential players due to it. It seems like a smart idea to suck people in to pay, and obviously they've done well with it - but it's a really angering marketing scheme. I'm older now and could make the decision to buy lifetime star rider, but I simply choose not to pay the $80+. It's kind of appalling to hear some of the community's reaction to that new space, especially as it virtually does no justice to non-star riders. I can say quite strongly that I don't really know why I kept playing throughout these 6+ years - the game has virtually _nothing_ to offer to those who don't put cash on the table.

the whole game is a toilet atp 😭😭😭 it's been a mess ever since they added mistfall 🤢

omg so real I'm afraid... since December 2017 it has been an endless cycle of postponed areas and story quests, removing pivotal events, crumbling game stability, and much much more! It's so heartbreaking to see such a harsh downfall for one of the most important things in my life... Thank you for your comment!! ♡

just logged on after awhile bc I loveeee Christmas (and the beautiful unicorn)... smh not only is the event clearly lazy it's not even well made. Bugs everywhere and when I was opening the presents under the tree my game crashed 10 secs in. It seemed like they were starting to get better with this new Hollow Woods stuff (I haven't personally played it yet- just what I've seen on YT) but I believe they've ruined that now if things don't improve :/ sad, I've burnt out with all my other games and they had a chance to really reel me back in. edit: omg the chainsaw bug... sso letting us cosplay ash williams real?

SSO also sized down the mouse cursor on Mac, I have pretty poor eyesight and it now makes it very hard for me to see it

OMG I don't understand why Star Stable has treated Mac players so poorly... first the years of turquoise water and now an unnoticeable cursor! I hope that this issue will soon be resolved for you, I hope it hasn't been too tricky for you now that the snow is here... ):

I have experienced the "saw stuck to hand" bug every day I logged on after Hollow Woods updated... edit: I think actually a bit earlier than that.

OMG it's so irritating! Having to constantly dismount and feed or brush my horse just to get the items to go away is what I call high octane gaming! T_T

I feel like I'm going to have to change home stables now because they got rid of the old moorland sound track. While I do like the new one a bit, I loved the old one more and it saddens me they removed it. Sorry SSO but you broke my heart there
