That is just awful. The fact that they would cancel wild song, a fully functional game that was nearing release, it’s just insane. Those books were great and they brought the story back to being a young adult horror fantasy story. Also, if I was in charge of those candles, I would make candles for each area in the game. For Fir Grove, the smell of fir trees mixed with different herbs and plants. For Moreland, the smell of honey mix with flowers and a hint of sea air to represent the area near Mrs. Holdsworth’s house. It has so much potential.

That is an actual inspirational idea! Like a fort pinta candle smelling like sea and beach, harvest counties and south hoof is in summer, maybe something with strawberries or sunflower, something with chamomile for silverglade. Pumpkin, cinnamon or apples for Golden Hills. Mistfall and wildwoods is end of spring, maybe something with moss and berries. For dino the scent of pinetrees/evergeens, the trees that stay green even during winter.

It just baffles me how weirdly things get handled within this company, I've never seen anything like it before..

They're at the verge of starting an actual war with their own player base - and I wouldn't say that's the most optimal way of promoting a game supposed to be all about friendship and happiness

Like I always had my criticisms when it came to SSE but when I heard "AI generated horse candle" I almost fell to my knees lol

Then again, you can get the AI to tell you how much money would such product make, and you'd see that it's pointless to create. But seems like they skipped that point 😬

They looked at girls going into bath and body works (a perfume store in the U.S.) and went: "WRITE THAT DOWN✍" and then they looked at horse poop, mud, hay, sweat, horse fur, carrots, seasons, magic, somehow npcs, and said:"YASSS QUEEEN bath and body works don't got nothing with this💅" and then you pan to see me running to the nearest bathroom to gag from the combination this candle produces🚽🏃‍♀Ok now to my actual full thing on this: Who the hell thought candles were better than clothes, figurines, plushies, comics, books and other merch for an mmo 💀Literally I wouldn't be surprised if they shut down wildsong, the comics and books just so they could shit out their ai generated candle mixture with hair fur flying out that only flies will love and most of the people will have their noses gone or gag from🗿I'm worried they're actually doing this cause they might actually be losing money and art just grabbing onto anything that gets them money, but in the long run it's gonna affect their funds to actually supporting their engine and the game itself especially since the horse progression, the ui and the shitty characters are still purely shitty and want us to trust their word that it's ok when they haven't shown any updates they done to them. I honestly think if those updates end up being horrible, the last strand of hope and trust the community has in SSO is gonna finally break and we might see we huge riot and wave of people leaving. I really wanna hope they fixed the characters, made the ui look better, and that they'll have better stuff for horse progression, but right now, I can't trust them based on their words, I need to actually see it and rn candles are not gonna solve their problems. Literally I'm still flabergastted they straight up asked we wanna smell horse shit, armpits, sweat from boots or helmets, an npc, and some other nasty shit for a candle🗿Love the video💗it's wild rn in SSO man and the storm is gonna be coming May 24th and onward🗿

Well spoken. A few months ago I went to Stockholm and hand delivered an letter to their HQ, saying how much i loved their game. But If i were to do it again, it would be straight up sort out your company lol 😂

I wont be surprised if Starstable gets shutdown from their behavior nowadays, its awful what they are doing to their players, the community, and the game! I think players are now missing what sso used to look like back in the day, when it was just cute adorable old models running around

Seeing how Elli has reacted to sso recently...I don't think she would have reacted the way she does now if the situation she and Helena experience wasn't that bad. It is bad. Feels like sso is trying to be influencers now...

I wonder what happened to Project Curie. SSE literally were hiring people to work on this game... I remember that you could apply on their site to work on that game. And where did everything go? Did SSE just fire every employee?

Oh I loved the books so much, Helena was so passionate about them and really interactive with us fans too ❤❤ It's really sad it had to end like this, what a slap in the face that must have been for Helena! (and Ellie too). Yeah I found out too today that they 'pause' wildsong, I wonder how long that pause will be...it really was a fun and cute little game! I'm not surprised sso doesn't continue with the run app since it were all old models etc. Who knows maybe a new version will come in the future. I don't care that much about the mistfall series and curie. I'm curious to what curie would have been tough. Why sso invests so much in a candle...I don't get why they make such odd decisions like this 🙈 another example with halloween that basically took a 40 hour work week without glitch to open the portals. Like where are the brains when those decisions are made 🙈

Eleanor, I’ve been watching your content for ages and I just want to thank you for always being such an honest and nice content creator. My favorite part of SSO has always been the lore and story (same with a lot of other things I like haha), and I’m honestly so upset about how they are treating their employees.. The books have such great potential for actual in game events, but instead they’d rather make candles and projects that will never come to fruition. They spend so much time on these mysterious projects but they never see the light of day, so all that time of wasting what could’ve been work for SSO, was wasted on yet another cancelled product. It’s honestly sad.. And now, I’m starting to really realize why Matilda had left the team and why Ylva was experiencing so much stress before and presumably now, as well..

I could not have said any of this better myself. I hope everybody watches this because I think this is how most of the community is truly feeling right now.

The thing with the candles that gets me to is like...the company SSE is working with does not ship to North America so I'm so confused as to why they are marketing the candles to there English page who's main follower base is likely from North America that candle company doesn't even ship to UK so why are they trying so hard to hype up the candles to people who live in countries that wont be able to buy them???? SSE is becoming more and more of a great example of how not to run your company. Also the other thing that ahs me so upset about the books I loved them but the 2nd trilogy of books has never been released in other languages. I speak two English and German and its not in either of those I do of course still get ADS for them because yes sso I want to buy a book in a language I can't read

Yeah I agree with the horse candle... why the hell would I want a candle smelling like horse poo or a damn horse stable? I love horses but most of the time they stink i'm sorry🤧, I would've loved a candle like ''Mrs Holdsworth pumpkin pie'' or something game-related.

The candle is a backhanded insult to the players. "Watch, these players will buy anything we put out there. Even a gross, smelly horse poop and armpit candle. They'll keep buying the horses and clothes and tack, no problem."

it's so weird for me that the company does not care at all what the customers want. Like hello, they are the ones giving you their money, keeping you afloat?? Shouldn't their first concern always be their audience and what they need? Simply mindblowing.

The shareholders and investors likely have more say and leverage than customers. Nordisk Games owns 57% of shares in SSE.

The game is amazing but honestly SSO as a company is just crazy. They're out of their MINDS to spend their money - which by the way, is money for a VIDEO GAME - on horse scented candles instead of the actual VIDEO GAME they're supposed to be updating. Honestly, at this point it seems like SSO is doing this for their own entertainment rather than ours, which is kinda proven when you see all of the real-life SSO items they've created in their office or whatever. And yeah, like you said, it's good to have a fun and loving enviornment at your job but honestly they're looking at everything as just a fun little experiement. They have to start taking their job seriously because though it's just a game to us, it's a JOB for them and they have to realize that.

They are starting to actually get desperate right now... They still don't get what the problem is and are trying to fix it with more problems....? Like.. What?? I think they are very aware that things are not going well for this company. They are just not using the right approach in the slightest.

I honestly wish they hadn't changed the characters, the story and the world so much. The lore is fucked, the characters are fucked, the rules of world are fucked. There is ZERO direction to this IP. There are too many people within SSE who feel their version of the story or characters is superior to the originals. That is a PROBLEM. It means the pride of the individual making these changes is more important than the pride in the product that they're giving us. SSE has too many cooks in the kitchen that do not know the original recipes. I want the ORIGINAL lore and characters and Jorvik from Starshine Legacy. SSL had direction, a clear story and well defined characters. It had potential to grow into something greater than it is now, given the right people were given the reins and weren't full of themselves. Instead, it's been put in the hands of those who just want to turn a profit; they do not care about lore continuity, character growth or developing an immersive world. I do not see Lisa, Linda, Anne nor Alex as they are currently; they are nothing more than shells of their former selves, whittled down to stereotypes. SSO is a MOCKERY of SSL and it will continue to be until the servers shut down.

Who else thinks star stable should make Eleanor the new manager of sso?

I am so confused right now. Since Star stable has been my biggest interest for soon to be eight years. I have tried to stay away from all the drama these past years. As I'm growing older and all I understand is that things are going to sh1t. But I honestly don't want to belive it tbh. I love sso, all the updates (Yes. I said it all of them, the npc's, the places, the quests and so on. I've never understood the hate. But them discontinuing the books Is just so sad. I love the books so much. In the end I don't understand players coming for sso's thrhroats either. That's just my opinion.

I heard somewhere that "Star Stable run" was never made by star stable itself. One youtuber talked about it in a stream. A different company apparently made that game without asking for permission. Idk if that is true tho. I just heard it in one stream. That streamer was talking about old sso game projects that where never finished. I went on and asked them what happened to Star Stable run. They said that it was never made by sso in the first place. If you go into the google playstore and look the game up it says "Animoca Brands" I think if it was an original idea by sso it would say "Star Stable Entertainment". That's what I know at least. The company who made sso run was not allowed to finish it. That's what I heard at least.

The game was advertised by StarStable themselves years ago, that's how I heard about it. I think it was through an email. So I think it's more likely that it was just an outsourced project.

He confirmed that the company who made the game had no license to use sso characters or anything else that contains sso stuff in the first place. It was never made by sso. "Animoca Brands" made the game without having the rights to it. The game will never be finished. He said that sso did not even know about sso run. He found out about that after contacting sso bc of the game. They found out later and after that "Animora Brands" had to stop working on the game. It was never offical in the first place.

1000000000% agree. Thank you forthis video. I will add even more things!!! They promised 7 moonths ago to to honor Violet Flowergarden. Some people states they for sure contacted the family and decided to do nothing about it. But you know what? I think they actually did nothing about that. Nothing. And hope people will forget or as I mentioned will try to explain to themselves somehow. The thing that angers me now the most is unfixed Zony and Vega voice bug which makes both ponies sound like a regular horse. They used to sound like zebra. I arleady reported this bug few times as it hasn't been fixed for 4 months. I don't know what it means to you but to me it decreases their value a lot

i'm devastated that they stopped the comics, was One of my favorite things about sso 🥲🥲
