In the quest where Emma gets Mudskipper, Junior Buttergood wants to buy Mudskipper from Kristy and he gets impatient and says that they should get it done quicker because the sun is about to set and his dad is about to wake up. So this is another hint to the Buttergoods being vampires, and pretty early too since that quest was released in 2019.

It's interesting that they still have all those things they hinted at (such as the office) that never came to the game, still in the game files. It is like they are waiting for an opportunity to still release it someday

Any updates about our ice witch katja? Also for Mrs Drake being a dark rider, I think it could be possible, but I would much rather see a redemption arc for her then have her join the dark riders. Maybe she could become a better person and she could be a spy in GED for us. I feel like that would be extremely unlikely with how they’ve set her up so far, but It would be a very interesting twist.

personally i don't think ms drake is a dark rider. she doesn't like horses none of the GED members do but she is a somewhat important character bc of the quest where our character and (i forgot the name) were spying on her in jarlaheim when she was talking to darko thats just my opinion tho!!

thinking about it, it would actually be pretty cool if sso made mystic valley full of mountains. imagine if they made it a wildwoods kind of vibe but with mountains instead of the trees and fields of meadow on the path between the current map and winter valley! maybe im dreaming too much but that would be awesome xd

for sure! if you don't want the male character in the game view of story line reasons that is a valid reason, even tho I still feel we should still have male playable characters. but for all the people who suggest that boys would ruin the games just cause their boys, is very wrong. boys are already paying for the game and nothing is ruined I think we should have male playable characters cause boy like horses too, horses are already stereotyped as girly I don't want star stable to continue that stereotype. I want them to add both male and non-binary playable characters. maybe too much to ask but I can dream

The chat system has defintely improved, but I have a big problem with just forgetting messages or trying different variations over and over again. In my opinion, it would be better if we still got to see which words were problematic in our messages and what was ok. Especially with post, you have to find out which words the system might not like until until you edit out some really random word and it finally sends the letter. Just not with the message you wanted to send, but a weird mish-mash of other words you tried to use.

@@hayleymarse2853 Yeah, I really liked that, too. But the improvement that the new chat system brings is supposed to be "no more chat bans because of random words" and that's definitely better. Plus spamming is a lot more difficult, when the messages aren't actually sent. But maybe the chat system should just redirect the message to us, with the bad words cencored. That way we'd get the best of both sides.

As a boy who plays sso, I can confirm that if male characters would added I would not suddenly bully the girls. And it is VERY true that male players get harassed. I have 0 people on my friends list but my ignore list is pretty much full, nobody actually wants to be my friend, but they all want to harass and sexualize me (calling me daddy/trying to touch me ingame?/etc) I love the disco so much, but I had to stop going because I couldnt tolerate getting harassed everytime I went. Because of the way I'm treated on sso, I have this kind of "horse girls are toxic" mentality that I'm trying to get out of. Ik not ALL horse girls are like that, but when they only want to make inappropriate/sexual comments about me it's hard to not think like that ig. I usually dont really get bothered when someone tells me I should die for being a boy or something, but the sexual comments reealllyyy make me uncomfortable. I've been sexually abused, and the way I get treated reminds me of how my abusive ex would treat me (like I'm a fun little toy that can be mistreated) and sometimes I just avoid interacting with people just because I'm scared of the comments theyll make. If sso updates, I wait 2 or 3 days to get on and look at the update because less people will be on, which means the chance of someone saying something to me is lower. Ok sorry for cringe rant, I just wanted to speak on the subject since I have personally experienced it, and I never see anyone talking about this kind of thing. Please, if yall see a boy on sso, treat him like a person ;_;

I've had rumors about me spread and soon enough a big part of the server knew that I was gay. I've had people come up to me and told me that they wanted me to be their gay best friend or invite me to their club because it was "full of only girls". What server do u play on? I've wanted to have more guy friends on the game for a long time, but everytime I ask global I get hate.

I was originally in freezing (frozen?) crater, but too many people knew me cause it's a smaller server, so I would get harassed pretty much everywhere I went. Nightstar has a lot more people, so it's harder to notice me cause I can hide in a crowd easier XD

While I was doing the semi-new Gary quest, Scott Buttergood, said " I’m thinking that Cedar here’ll be something for dad to really sink his teeth into. Out basement will make a great home for a Jorvik Wild horse. " Thought that was... sus. Now, a few minutes later, Josh says, to Scott Buttergood " Hey, Bloodsucker! " after, Scott continued to say " What’re you gonna do, drop another glitter bomb on me? " Like what you said about giving him a gift. Josh also said " I’ve got another bone to pick with you, Buttergood. " After we sneak Cedar away, he says " [...] you sniveling tenderfoot! " Honestly, how does he know Josh has tender feet..? Josh sassily replies back with " If you say so, Butterbad. " Now, about if Gary or that other woman, and whom was 1st. We get to ask Gary questions in the end of the quest. We get to ask him how long he’s been there. He says " The Wildwoods and I go way back. […] So, to answer your question, I’ve been here a very long time. ” Also, once you tell Gary you have no more questions, he proceeds to say ” The Wildwoods may be my home, but there’s one place I’ll never go near - - the Sentinel Tree. I get the strangest taste in my mouth around there. Sickly, like cotton candy. Despite this, something tells me the Wildwoods wouldn’t be the way it is without whatever influence has taken over that tree. It’s like there’s a balance of sorts." and after this bunch of lines he says, to my surprise ” I was a part of a search party, trying to find a woman who had disappeared some years before... We never did find her, but I found peace in that long ago when I settled down here. Searching for that lost explorer may have brought me to the Wildwoods, [...] ” Huh. That is strange how much can be discovered in one quest. If you made it down here, I thank you for reading my extra long comment.

and the SSO team on instagram sometime said that they aren´t planning male characters (if i remember correctly, I sadly can´t find the comment anymore). I was explaining to a person then that male characters themselves wouldn´t be any good but that features that don´t effect the story line but for between players themselves would be the best decision. The person kept on not understanding till SSO spoke up. Ithink they then got kinda rude sometime after they had no arguments left, or I am mixing it up. BUT I am also pretty sure that SSO in that very comment said something about wanting to give more decisions in how the body is supposed to look like in other ways, tho I might be messing things up

When I made my original video, I was pretty sure that the team would never make male characters because of the story and their want to empower girls. But there's something about their wording on the new years thingy that got me wondering (they no longer talk about "empowering girls" but rather "be who you want to be" and "diversity" and all) and then when they made the opening credits gender neutral I started thinking it for real 🤔 we never know, but it's weird how they suddenly seemed to change focus 🤷‍♀️

@@eleanornightwalker hmm... that might be because of something I have been thinking about for awhile A simple way to have people show their gender but not effect the storyline itself is with not making male characters but giving an option that makes you choose your gender and that shows to the other players As well as giving more clothes and hair that males (or tomboys or people that just like male kinda clothes) would wear SSO has obviously seen my comments about that on Instagram and so I'm hoping that they take those ideas as well It's honestly in my opinion they best was to have the storyline still be original but have genders other than girls be able to express themselves and just well be themselves

Boys can play horse games and that "the gaming community is toxic" remark. Oh dear god have they even played star stable? It's such a toxic game already. Boys already play. Most guys don't like horses so there wont be an immediate influx of male players I don't think but the males that love and ride horses are being left out. Also like "they would cause so much drama" I mean you guys are the ones attacking each other on global chat. Guys have drama yes, but they they literally don't care after. SSO is such a toxic game like seriously stop. Males. Already. Play. SSO. Adding male model/character options for us. Will. Do. Nothing. Also what about people who don't feel comfortable in their body irl and want to become male in game to feel more comfortable? Literally I have been harassed, kicked out of clubs, online bulled, had my face leaked because I am a boy. Like what. Just because we have a different gender still makes us human. Your human... we are human. Why can't the world just get along. It's stupid. Absolutely stupid.

just to add a perspective, I am a trans dude, and I had played the game before I came out but after, I kinda stop playing. I wanted to be a guy in the game to reflect my feelings in real life, but when couldn't, I really lost interest in star stable. not to mention everyone who is non-binary who wants to play the game too. I really wish they add both male and non-binary played characters

@@rotteddwelling I definitely agree to a certain extent. My point is just that the minority of sex roles that happen aren’t “same sex” relationships. They are usually teenagers who think it’s funny and they are almost always “straight” (as straight as you can make it in sso). Plus, the entire point of sso is to have a game that revolves around girls since there aren’t many other games like that. If they added males, they would have to create a whole new storyline

Didn't know the ages of the characters were removed from the journal. I think though that has more to do with the Mistfall Series than certain events in the game. Apparently the Mistfall Series is in the same time line at the game from what I've heard someone who was watching the Live Q and A not long ago about it (I couldn't watch it because I was at work) or at least somewhat in the same time line. They had changed Rania's age from the series from 18 to 15 and the events of the series happens after the election. Rania was listed as 18 in the game.

Oh I would absolutely love to see the what you said about Mystic Valley! I personally was always confused when you talked about Mystic Valley, because I couldn't find it, but now I have an idea about what it could look like: Basically the Northern Mountain Range, like we have on all the maps (and I really love that concept, I love climbing mountains in sso soo much!), and to the east of that, between the mountains and Dino Valley, the actual mystic valley, behind the Icengate, as the home of the kallters. Since we know that at the western edge of Dino Valley, there is/was supposed to be a little valley. That could be Mystic Valley, while the rest is the Northern Mountain Range and to the north of that of course Winter Valley and w+Winterdale. (The only problem with that is that on most or maybe even all maps there are two lines of mountains. The Northern Mountain Range, then a green area, then another mountain line with Cape Point Stables. And that green area is visible from the secret stone circle. Maxbe the'll change it to mountains, but we really don't know.) And if they wanted to add Winter Valley when we get the Northern Mountain Range, that would probably be when they have to update the map. I don't exactly know how big Winter Valley is, but it's unlikely that we'd get that without Winterdale, and that's definitely off the map. But I really do hope that the team will expand the map in that direction, way north after Wildwoods, since the Wildwoods Mountains are my favourite in the game. If they added land to the east of Wildwoods, the view would be gone, and I really need that to calm me down sometimes...

In the latest wild horse quests josh calls Scott a “Bloodsucker”. Also Scott says something like “I think cedar will be something for dad do really dig his teeth into”. I did the quests in Swedish so I’m sorry if the translation was bad!

The Buttergoods are definitely vampires and here is more proof: In the new story quest when we talk to their dad it says he hasnt been outside for so long (So no sun) and he remembers when fort maria was open which was very very long ago! so if hes a vampire hes immortal which explains why he remembers when fort maria was open

In previous updates (March) our quest added when we talk to Gary includes us calling him a "Bloodsucker" to distract him from saving the horse. I find this quite interesting ;)

I would really like for them to add male characters I think it would help extend star stable’s audience because they are already working to include mobile players as well so if they also added male characters it would extend the players to even more people

I’m pretty sure sso removed the ages because a lot of people pointed out the plotholes from Mistfall...

By the way, there's now more on the theory that the Buttergoods are vampires. In one of the new Wildwoods questlines, Josh (from Starshine ranch) has an encounter with Scott Buttergood. Josh calls Scott 'bloodsucker' and also during some dialogue, Scott says something along the lines of "this horse will be great for my father to sink his teeth into!".

Just wanted to say, houses/apartments will not be coming for SURE this year. But nothing was said about build mode. Also I think quests, updated characters, and other MAIN things, then I want male characters. I don't want more horses though xD

For the male characters: I’ve been playing this game for like 5 years now and I think what sso could do for male characters is have an entire different main story line (all same side quests) personally I believe sso would benefit from that because more people would make a second account just for that story line and then after the few days of free star rider you’d have to pay

The only reason as to why I'm "opposed" (notice the quotes) to male characters is because I just want something for girls. Games are so saturated with males and anytime girls try to seriously play a game, they're relentlessly made fun of. So, to have a storyline with only girls is something very special in the game industry. And also, as they said updating the girl characters is already gonna be complicated, let alone male characters, not to mention the amount of dialogue they're gonna have to change. I have a better suggestion - lately, over the last 2 years roughly, I've noticed that they've started to use "they" when referring to the player. However, some us don't want do be referred to as they. So instead, they could have a setting in the options where you could choose between she, he or they. I feel like that would be a good thing to do. Edit: also, before male characters, they should work on races first. I want to see black, indian, asian girls shine and be the chosen ones for once.

Wasn't it mysterious that Jupiter didn't show up when Herman was saved? Yeah they said he was getting smoothies but what if he was the one who gave us problems when we found out someone hacked in to our systeem? I now start thinking he has been giving secret information to GED this entire time. Mabye he get's money from them in return or mabye he was one of them all along. Will probaly find that out in the future who the spy is.

I'm hoping for not just male characters, but also nonbinary characters. Why should a nonbinary person or genderfluid person have to pick male or female? If we're going to be really progressive, we should have three different genders to choose from. Female bodytypes, male bodytypes, and gender neutral body type. (I imagine the gender neutral bodytype would lack both muscles and breasts) OR perhaps they could just make it so you can fully customize what your torso, arms, legs, and face shapes look like. Then we don't have to pick a designated gender. We could just make our characters look the way we want without gender signs being involved, and that might be better for everyone anyways.

I don't understand the whole "male characters will cause romance/dating" argument, or the "male characters will cause grooming" argument, or just anything along those lines. 1. Dating already happens in SSO. Adding or not adding male characters won't change that. 2. Predators/groomers only care about one thing, and it's not the gender of their character.

About the gender debate. I'm thinking sso are adding gender-neutral characters in order to both attract new players and people who want to be able to represent themselves in the game. Also, why did they remove the age from the characters?

Why can't they just enjoy themselves too? no one once said horses were just for girls. I don't know where we girls got that thought from, but we couldn't be more wrong. I wish SSO would just give it up and admit that they've become very limiting with their players, and that they need to do something about it.

hey eleanor! also a crazy thing is, if you go to new hillcrest, and you look around, you see that there are cars. but the number plates of the cars have the names of the soul riders, and of ged, but with a few missing letters. I don't really have a good explanation here yet. I can't figure it out, but maybe you get it?

Just as a side note - SST actually confirmed that they do not plan on adding male characters into the game, which really disappoints me, it feels really bad to be forced to play as the other gender in my favourite game, I don't think that's how it should be. And about the ages in the journal - I think they removed them because of Rania, who is 15 in the Mistfall series while being 18 in the game.

About the new area's coming up. When ur on a ferry there appears this mini map but there is diffrence. a next to Mistfall there's a place called 'Jorvik City' it looks like we're able to ride and trailer there any time soon.. In fact there's a circle to the edge there wich looks like we can go there with the ferry. Maybe in the future we can go there...? *Who knows..* i wouls love that.

I always liked the og character model because SSO was the first game I played where the MC looked like me (thin, not very curvy and rode horses lol) and it kinda gave me confidence in my body when other people gave me trouble about being really thin. I really hope they update the character models so when young girls find this game they feel the same way, it really helped my confidence as a kid and I want girls (and boys) with different body types to feel that too. Also rn we all look like clones so a bit of variety would be nice

In 2021 I think it would be a smart move to allow male characters as I think that everyone should be included in this game as isn’t that the message of sso ❤️

About the boys, my little brother loves horses and has always loved SSO. He plays with me a lot and as he really doesn't focus on the playable character, but he does prefer a male Character. And tbh I think if our characters get a huge update I feel gender choices will be added :D

So if you go to where the Druid meeting is and you press on the map it shows your in mystic valley so I think it has something about druids and aideen so it is half done.

Although this is an older video I totally agree. Boys have been playing. It's toxic to say that they will "ruin" the game. Others say no because of online dating, people already do in the game and even if they are added it doesn't mean to teat then better because they are normal and want to be treated like that no special. It actually is sad to hear people say that they are going to ruin the game. Anyways.

One problem with the Ms Drake being the last dark rider is that she seems to dislike horses. The dark riders all ride their dark horses so Lil Drakey wouldn’t fit in if she didn’t wanna ride a lil horsey with dark magic.

And if you watch mistfall you can see that rain has the same logo on her sweater, and if you go too jarlahaim and go like to the little hall you can see the singers! And that probally so is rain! So that comes too my conclusion that rain is a dark rider!

I have the mask of the cat - it is the mark of the Miscreants - the kinda pop/rock group in sso, why they use that as their mark, I don’t know... but there are two possibilities, it’s a sort of ‘Satan mark’ in Jorvik, or the Miscreants created it themselves.

Gosh, it's been a year already? Where has 2020 gone? I do agree the chat filter has been fixed, but I can't help but notice people swearing in chat because apparently that's a thing. Besides that, it seems like a great alternative. I do agree more and more that the Buttergoods are looking more vampires. For the male characters-guys. We're basically attacking the male gender at this point. (I think I mentioned this on Discord) my club has been harassed in the past for being male. It's not fair we're going to push boys to the side. Back in the day, they weren't options for females in games. Now we have a female game, I understand if you want it to stay that way, but if it's a game about equality, I think it only makes sense we get gender neutral/male characters. If we don't get those, at least give us the option to change our horses/characters pronouns. I'm sick of my horse being addressed as a stallion, and I'm sure players who don't go by she/her are also getting annoyed.

I have no clue if this is right or not but I will say it any way I totally believe that we will (at one point) get are own rooms but then again the files say pet basket there is one in the house in mist fall that was are able to go into it also has curtains and a table in the house. also it says desk, bed, bookshelf, and chair and we can find those in Lisa and Linda's room maybe sso will make Anne and Alex's room too I don't know just wanted to point that out too.

Seriously, what is wrong with the people who commented that stuff under the Male Characters Video?! First of all, that's just rude, second of all, there is no logic in ANY of those comments, like you said, there are already boys in the game, and third of all, did they even listen to what you said in the video?! People really need to think and watch the video bevore they comment! (Oh and I love how you said "There are people of all kinds of genders in the game", like it's no big deal (because it really isn't), that was beautiful.)

I know wonderful club owner (boy) who keeps it all together for at least 2 years now. I had few arguments, but times before corona, work stress, issues with trust in workplace, had depression (hamster saved) and in every place was one personto bring me down. It all mirrored to percerption around game. So, don't ever mix up stress from work/school to sso club. Now my cusin is there. I wouldn't stand out from arguments there.

The girls in this game are the ones that make it toxic, they wanna be unlike others do bad. We stay out of drama because the misgendering gets so bad.

The point about the story being ruined if male characters came to the game is bs imo. If they just change all the "she"/"her" to them in the dialogue when referring to our character, whats the problem?

By when you said my room in the beginning of the video on the furniture update the files are most likely to be from Sweden cause the main company is from there. And they aren't most likely to put down everything in English even if they know how to speak it so my room could mean something else

Ok so about boys. It could be possible that any kind of genders will be added, but there are way more genders than u actually think. I'll name a few: Female, Male, Demi-boy, Demi-girl, Gender-queer, Non-binary, Agender, and much much more (and also there is trans but I myself don't really call Trans a "gender" it's just like a more specific part of your gender. ex: "Oh my gender? I am a female. But if you want more specifically, I'm a TRANS female, if that clears your mind."). Idrk if this was necessary but yea. There are other gender players so it won't end the whole conversation of adding anything. In the quest log our characters have also been given they/them pronouns and there are 2 non-binary NPCs already so yea. Again, I don't really know if this was ever necessary, but I spent time writing this, so I won't delete it now. Have a a lovely day/night

It really annoys me how people think boys will change the storyline, well guess what sso isn't gonna change the story just cause of gender the only thing different will be instead of the NP's referring to each and every single player as 'she" all the time. (I wonder why fripp has 4 birthdays a year?!)

There was a cheat engine I used to use (Wont state the name for obvious reasons), that did in fact provide a free Spirit horse.

So with the recent quests in Wildwoods, when they talk about Edith... didn’t the dark riders mention someone named Edith during some of the quests? And watching the spoilers of the 2nd part of Wildwoods, we can infer there’s a village run by horses. What if Edith is the 4th dark rider.. and possibly turned humans into horses?

On one of the quests that you get from wildwoods you need to go rescue a horse called cedar and Scott buttergood was trying to buy him and Scott said another horse for my dad to sink his teeth into would be good. so I think that’s another clue to him being a vampire

I personally think what they should do for the male characters is that they make more neutral/masculine clothes and hair they can make it so it still is considered girls in the Dialoge so they don’t have to go and change all the Dialoge and changing the sister hood but for the players someone who is dressed more masculine we can either ask for pronouns or can kinda assume they are a boy so I just think if they make more masculine options for dressing your character then they can do a lot less work

I can't believe ppl would say that about having boys in the game! That's horrible! I would love it if they added male characters. My brother refuses to play the game unless they add male characters. The game would become more diverse and new ideas would be brought into play. Boys like horses too so they should be allowed to play the game. The only difference having male characters would make is that you would actually know who is a boy or a girl. Its pointless the argue that having boys play the game is a bad idea because they already play the game.

I didn't even know about cheet engines until now 😅👁👄👁

7:57 plenty of games with male avatars. You don't have to be of that specific gender to play a character that is either a boy or a girl. I don't see the issue with playing as a girl if you're a boy or playing as a boy if you're a girl irl.

I think what star stable could do is to give us more masculine clothes.

Starstable is a female dominated world, SSO themselves claimed " SSO Is a female run game, if we where to add males it would ruin the entire point of the game and storyline. "

I actually believe that the character should have been androgynous from the beginning, and normalize that in a lot of other games too. idk just food for thought so anyone can play regardless of if theyre binary or not and have just as much fun (this is coming from a cis person so dont call me pressed lol)

i think the sso team should re-copy sso for boys with the main soul riders being boys so the boys dont feel like they shouldent be playing the game i think male charecters is a yay if they had there own special story

Or sso could add unisex option to create character. Not all girls/woman have impressive or medium chest. I know some from school that never got thier breast grow much. There are flat girls too. So flat in game could be meant as boy.

Me and my friend were training in dundull and we stopped by the lake there, and then the thing popped on my screen when you open an area and it said mistfall lake...

If you look at where the hidden valley is on the map in star stable you might see that you are looking in the wrong place.

I see why some girls are upset about boys playing. Have you ever played cod? It is very toxic. (not trying to defend either side)
