The History of Kodungallur കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂരിന്റെ പഴപ്പാട്
For nearly two thousand years, the town of Kodungallur in Kerala has witnessed the rise and fall of global history from the shores of the Indian Ocean. In our first-ever Malayalam documentary, brought to you on Onam, the Malayalam New Year, Connected Histories explores Kodungallur's long-forgotten past. From the fleets of the Romans and the poetry of the Sangam period; through the evolution of states and kingship in medieval Kerala; to the conflicts of Kochi and Kozhikode and the interventions of the Chinese and Portuguese all the way to the present day - this is a history of Kerala and the world as you've never seen it before.

Thanks a lot Sir for this awesome video I can just imagine the hard work that the team has put into making this gem.
This is a great video but why did you not mention Knai Thoma and the arrival of the Knanaya community to Kodungallur? We know that they lived there until 1524. Kerala historians such as MGS Naryanan and Shreedara Menon have mentioned their arrival to the city.
Beautiful , Splendid , Outstanding work , add malayalam title
Lovely to hear about my hometown - which is a sleepy, ignored town along the western coast now. Thanks for making this
