The History of Animal Crossing HRA World Records
Ойындар
I go way back to document a complete history of Animal Crossing HRA World Records starting from the very beginning. Turns out, there's more to it than I thought. From clever interior designs to glitch discoveries, there's a lot involved with impressing the Happy Room Academy!

I like to imagine the poor HRA rep who walks in, sighs, and then has to count objects points just like it’s the pre-bid phase of storage wars since they can’t actually get into the building.
I like how you get 6 times the max score that they aknowledge and the HRA is like « now try adding interesting items »
Fun Fact: Brian's starter house glitchless HRA score is larger than any villagers' HRA score. I guess the HRA is just too complex for animals.

Animals prefer single themes and have such constraints as "being able to walk around" and "try to include a music player".

I think his starter house glitches HRA score is better than my fully-upgraded HRA score.

@Cuyler Hi, sorry to bother you but did your Dobustu No Mori E+ OST get taken down? Would it be possible to re-upload it somewhere else online? I really liked listening to it
Since you can have invisible items, I wonder whats the highest score you could have with 0 items you can see

This is actually something I’m curious about now.
This is just like real life. When I was redecorating my apartment I found that I could place 2 Island NES games on the end table, which allowed me to add 1 additional Island NES game to increase my apartment's value. I then placed 4 Island NES games on my bed which allowed me to move 2 Island NES games from my floor to on top of my armoire. Furthermore, I was able to add an Island NES game but duplicating an Island NES game and now when people come over to my apartment all they talk about is my Island NES Games.
it's genuinely so fascinating seeing the kinds of confines this game brings to challenges like this, as well as how you can absolutely break them
I absolutely love animal crossing, and I'm so glad I recently found your channel. This is so much good AC lore/information. I get huge summoning salt vibes and I mean that as an absolute compliment. Love it
What a lovely concept!; making up rules about games so you can have more fun with it. Speedruns, high scores, world records… watching people take games so seriously while simultaneously having so much fun. It’s wacky, it’s goofy, and dare I say…endearing. I absolutely love the gaming community, especially with cute games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. This is so wholesome, and this video was really informative ‘cause I had no idea about this!

I especially love that I got to see forum posts from 2003 in this video! So nostalgic.
Thank you for carrying the AC community for so long
I am in awe in regards to how people even figure out how to do these things. I think I got like 80k once and was like “nice. done.” Mad props!
Brian's back must hurt from carrying the entire community for so long.
Hra: We noticed you really liked NES games so here's 640,000 pts
Absolutely fascinating video. I really enjoyed watching, as always. I love this version of AC so much. Keep up the awesome work 🥳

Villager: unhealthy hoarding that spills into the town. HRA: What a lovely home.
Your 616,313 HRA world record was achieved the same day I was born! That's so cool! Love your content man I hope more people see your very relaxing content.

this is genuinely one of the best things i’ve ever seen in my entire life. truly an inspiring tale of tenacity
I didn't have any friends when I got Animal Crossing for Christmas in 2001, and I've never known a single person to have bought a copy, ever. I wish I knew about this back then. An Animal Crossing community would have been so nice. I just found your youtube account this week. I love your stuff! I have logged years into the game, yet never even came close to your achievements. Congratulations on all of your pioneering!
You have, single-handedly gotten me back into AC:GCN, thank you
I have to say, you are so underrated on this platform. Your dedication to this game is absolutely incredible and it so wonderful to learn new things about a game series that is so nostalgic to me 💙
Animal Crossing on the Gamecube is one of my all-time favorite games. I love seeing new content being made for and about it!
I love how getting such high scores essentially means turning your house into a garbled impractical mess
I remember watching the video of you breaking the HRA WR in 2007 and had no idea what was going on, this video really helped me understand. Great work, Brian!
Gotta resepct your Animal Crossing passion. For me as a big Animal Crossing fan you are something like a superhero
Wow, the HRA is one feature in the AC games that I've never had much interest in, but this was a very interesting video
Your devotion to animal crossing is amazing. Actually got me to play again! Great voiceover work as well. These videos are so well paced and informative
warios woods
I look up a childhood game once and find the perfect KZread channel. Please continue uploading forever
Nothing's more baller than showing off your 8 copies of Wario's Woods for the NES 😎
I love it when someone cares this much about something
Blown away by all the high quality videos you keep putting out on this channel. By the way, I feel like it should be possible to actually _prove_ what the best possible glitchless score is, considering the scoring and possible placements are well understood... might take some work to program a searcher that can reproduce the existing records and check if there are any higher scores in a reasonable amount of time, but it does seem feasible.

Yes you're correct, the HRA algorithm is solved and it's just a matter of coding a program. Cuyler has expressed interest on such a project. I'll be curious if it finds a better layout or if my glitchless record is in fact the max!
The stuff you can do inside the house is wild!!! Brian, mp16, so happy you have a passion for animal crossing. These videos are great
I really enjoy these videos despite not really being into Animal Crossing, I hope they get more attention... It's a real shame that stuff like the bellionaire video have less than 100k views. These topics are fascinating and the seeing the progression on each is very cool, I hope you keep it up!
I watch your ac content all the time it gives me so much joy when people keep the older games in this franchise alive, the nostalgia and cosyness this game gives me is unreal I cant believe it doesn’t get more views, I appreciate u ❤
New BrianMp16 upload? we ride at dawn
I'm loving the content you're putting out! Brings back some good memories of when I was a kid. It makes me want to buy a gamecube again and play the old animal crossing on a tiny TV.
Animal crossing on the GameCube was my very first game as a child and I played it with my entire family. This video game is very special to me and I can’t tell you how happy your videos make me to see how passionate people continue to be about this video game
Hey! I actually appeared in the video in the shots of the Twitch chat, that's pretty cool!
I just discovered your channel maybe a week ago and I've been absolutely addicted. Your animal crossing content is ultra cozy and enjoyable plus I've learned a lot of little details to improve efficiency when playing. You absolutely deserve more attention and I look forward to future content you put out and even your livestreams when you decide to go live on Twitch.
I basically didn't know how this stuff was calculated so this is really cool to see. Out of curiosity since bad orientations can cost points, can you get a negative score from the HRA? If so, how negative can you go?
I love this kind of competitive collaboration, it's like a relay race of sorts!
You are soloing the records for this game and I commend your endless efforts to push the limits of this seemingly simple game. I love your channel
Wow! I never knew about the crazy ways the HRA scoring works, even after playing this game all through my childhood X'D awesome vid!!
Your videos make me so happy! Keep up the phenomenal work! Hope you're well!
Why do I enjoy watching content for a game that was out before I was even born... Brian your content is amazing and informative as heck thanks for the videos! :)
I love these edited videos! can't wait for your next one
I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone beat there world record this much! This takes serious motivation and talent! Your videos are always so inspiring! Keep it up! :D
Thanks for this Brian, appreciate it!
This is crazy cool! You deserve way more attention for this!
What a great video, definitely appreciate your dedication to the process.
Love these videos, please keep pushing the limits of Animal Crossing.
Just found your animal crossing videos. I love your dedication to pushing the boundaries of these games!
My favorite games are the ones that you can always find a way to push the limits of. Crazy stuff man, I learned a lot from this video
I love this! So happy I found your channel. Keep up the good work!
1:25 the disk system was actually an add on for the famicom released much later; 1983 is when the famicom itself released!
if i had known about any of this back in '07 my child brain would have imploded phenomenal work & love your problem solving/experimentation ! it's fascinating & i had no idea any of this was possible- animal crossing was actually a main game that helped me learn to read english when i was younger & i spent hundreds of hours on it- though never tried anything as crazy as all this !
this is exactly the type of video i was looking to watch right now
great video, would love to see something similar for some of the speedrun categories
Really enjoyed this Video! Also, i loved how at one point it feels like everybody just accepts that you win the WR, exept for you.
I love how the HRA doesn't recognize that you're making homes that are impossibily good by 1) critiquing your setup and 2) acting like floating and invisible furniture is normal
Love the content!
it's really cool just how Hard this is to do right lol. great work
I've now also improved the glitchless medium house HRA score by 712 to 188,416.

Nicely done! I'm glad you're finding interest in the HRA records and looking for improvements!
yo I remember you updating trying to get the highest score on your old website
This guy is so underrated … i think his animal crossing vids have become some of my fav videos on yt
ur insane, man! big props
I love this, excellent video and it’s fun learning about animal crossing on the GameCube
Very impressive and great video!
Love the content
This man's singlehandedly been keeping the hra record category alive for 15+ years I'm unsure if i should be amazed or starting a go fund me for his therapy costs
*house completely crowded with things like a hoarder lives there* wow, stupendous job on your home interior, you get 641,000 points!
I've almost never played animal crossing but I love all your animal crossing videos.
Loved this! Have you considered doing this kind of challenge for each game?
Great video!!!
Amazing. When I played on GCN I didn't know the HRA rules so I didn't do much with it.
bro you manage to get a lot of records in this game you know so much. you're really smart. I can't wait till More videos 😉✨💜💜
You make great videos.
babe wake up new brianmp upload
That’s a really good score, this must’ve taken such a long time to accomplish
I'd imagine that there's a 32-bit amount of furniture layers and these glitches can access a few of them. I guess find a way to make newly created tables on top of newly created tables on top of newly created tables on top of newly created tables on top of newly created tables and so on?
Funny to see “NMT” made a debut in AC GCN before ACNH
SummoningSalt better watch his back
This video, is awesome.
Hey I just got into animal crossing GameCube and animal crossing as a whole. I heard you say you’ve noted, found, etc.. a lot of stuff that you can’t find online. I’d love some tutorial videos going over several obscure things. Some of which I’ve heard you mention in videos. Thanks a ton
Kind of surprised the Post Model doesn't have a ridiculously high Score.
65,535 points is the theoretical maximum! Good luck achieving that possibility!
you are actually so cool!
I love this video, and it’s given me an idea! Is it possible to get a negative HRA score? I’d love to see that if it is possible lol
The hra told me 'you live here, but why?'
i think the fact wario’s woods of all games is the best game for HRA score is weirdly hilarious to me
Nice
Do you consider yourself the foremost authority on animal crossing? I mean a man with all your accomplishments, it would be hard not to let it go to your head.
i for one can't wait for someone, somehow to either hit 999,999 or hit 1 mil. It will happen, I know it will.
Seems like someone could code a simple program to calculate the optimal furniture for the glitchless category, am I wrong? Write a few simple rules on item limits and space limits then feed it a table of all the furniture with their point values, sizes, whether they're ground or table, etc.
fascinating watch. but would it be possible to put 2x2 items in the corners so they're 3/4 out of bounds? also, do the fossils have to be adjacent, or can they be scattered about?
I'm curious how things are going in other entries in the series, considering they don't have NES games or the same glitches
I'm curious, how/when did you realize that the item rotation was what was causing the deductions?
your a god
What would be the highest score if you could like edit the memory data of your house or something
I have a lot of respect for you and the community who pushed these scores to these heights. But man, when I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to unsubscribe from the HRA mailing list.
Say “Island NES Games” 100 times speed run
