  The game wants you to lose the first dueko against Heishin, that is the only way to advance the story... Although it would have been better to leave that to luck and allow the player to win that duel, then the events of the story would change and they would force us to finish the game from another possible scenario, but hey, programming issues I guess.

  Your 170,000 page index being legitamate to use without cheating reminds me of Zelda's Wind Waker battleship minigame. Its heavily rng, but can be manipulated to give the exact answer, but only by doing some in game tinkering and feeding it through a program. If memory serves, the speedrun community made it legit because you would have to manually input the inputs, and you can't pause the in game timer while doing so.

  Congratulation For This Amazing World Record ! 😸 🐙 🦑 👻 🙈 Well... it took me about a month to watch the entire run, watching it end by end. Thank you very much for improving the previous WR which I also watched in full. It was really incredible and intense. Deep down we hope one day to see a new WR from Animal Crossing GCN 100% despite the fact that this requires significant physical and mental preparation with good map RNG which is not an easy thing. Maybe someday. Thanks again for your time and for this WR !

  Hey, I saw your content in your videos about being the first to 100% this game and getting the post model on record, and I gotta say I am very impressed like anyone else. I saw this video in my feed and watched out of curiosity, but when I started watching I instantly felt comfortable. Your attitude in these videos are very wholesome, you are very skilled and wise when it comes to this game, and I appreciate that you play the GCN game as it is my favorite Animal Crossing.   I picked up playing AC for GC recently and was stunned over all the little quirks I never noticed as a kid. Like the luck feature, I got like 60k bells on a gold spot and was so confused!

  Animal Crossing is a game I'd love to speedrun but the mods refuse to allow emus or modded/third party consoles. It's a shame when a gaming community can't grow and reach more competitive players becase the mods just refuse to open a separate emu/third party console leaderboard

  This was such a cool challenge and definitely something that seems like fun to try. I have to ask though, why reset at all? Wouldn't it make more sense to just not do the split until you manage to catch the correct fish you need next? The resetting just seems like it adds tedium and nothing else lol

  for the idea of a “pure” file/playthrough I guess. I honestly get it it just feels less legit if you catch a bunch of junk in between and its saved

  Resetting adds consequence to catching the wrong fish. Without resetting, there isn't really a challenge since you could just freely catch fish until you catch the one you want. The idea for this challenge is to refine your skills at catching specific fish and having to deal with Mr. Resetti is enough incentive to care to try to catch the correct fish.
