@@profasor good thought . It is not necessary to speak the Arabic words in the prayers and greetings . The translated words like “ peace “ , “God” etc should replace so that the people including others understand Islam is nothing different and we all can stay together ... World will be a better place with such uniformity ... God knows every culture and language ..

@@hyamick7584 yes, of course. but also we don’t have to use arabic irl. also we can say the same things in our language. of course arabic is better (closer to the original meaning, something can get lost in translation) but i think they meant nothing is wrong with using words like dua- prayer etc. have a great day sister/brother may Allah bless you!😊

@@zeynepgokcetinay4814 For understanding Qur'an, one needs to know Arabic indepth and maybe hadith also if one goes to study Hadith commentary. Most of the Islamic sources are in Arabic. But yeah a layman muslim doesn't need to know Arabic.

Cultural dressing has nothing to do with religion. She is correct and she seems more logical than those that were born into the religion. Love her way of thinking!

The Quran states, to believing Muslim women, to cover their khimer (head scarf) over their chests. The 'Arab' abaaya and hijab does fulfill this ruling. Most other dress forms don't. It's not all cultural, tbh. The Quran does dictate the dress code.

listen to the advice that was given to you ehre, we do not follow our desires and our opinions but we follows the rules of Islam that The Best of Mankind, The Prophet SAWS followed. Those people are misled and are misleading others but on the day of judgement, you will be responsible for your own actions and you will not be able to claim ignorance. Follow the Coran and Sunnah.

@@oummuslima9430 can you imagine if everyone said "I'll practice Islam as I understand it and not how others(sheikhs) interpret it" that means everybody can add anything they want or remove anything that they don't want, if that happened we wouldn't even have the true Islam we have today, we wouldn't even have the true sirah of our prophet, nothing would be preserved.

THIS is what we're talking about. European Nationalists are split on Islam. A faction believes it's Islam itself that is the problem. This faction is the only face you see on television. Another faction believes that it is not Islam per se but the loss of their identity. IF indigenous Europeans kept the same dress, cuisine, architechture, culture, marriage networks, etc. just like all other Muslim sub-cultues have done, then you would see European opinions finally change on Islam despite all of the negative forces working against us.

I understand her but don't agree with everything she says. Islam, like many other religions, does have rules that we abide by. She can dress as she wants but if u read the Quran, a verse does give us a dress code. Also, she doesn't understand why restaurants close during Ramadan. It's easy to understand. It's to honour and respect those who fast and when restaurant timings change, you feel the spirit of ramadan. Its only one month, throughout the year. The restaurants open as soon as the fast breaks. And do u think its fair on Muslims who work in a restaurant to be serving food, when they themselves are hungry and thirsty? Muslims read more Quran and do more worship so being at home, gives them that opportunity to. Its like living in a Christian country and asking, why do all shops close for Christmas, when there are non Christians living there as well? Just use logic

I'm sure you hadn't been in Egypt during Ramadan specially at night 😂😂 yes some restaurants closing during Ramadan for financial reasons, no one forces them . But most restaurants and cafeterias opening regularly because they will have more people during Ramadan after ifttar we don't fast 24 hours for 30 days 😀

I think what's missing is her empathy for fasting Muslims. I would never want a fasting person to be serving me food and drinks

Who is going to keep the restaurants running, fasting workers? They will be packed after the sunset, more business then in Ramadan. Almost all restaurants and offices are closed on the Christmas Day and Easter; the same happens in the west too.

She has no problem bending religious rules according to her convenience, and want to teach others that her version is somehow right, at the same time she couldn't swallow why Egypth is forcing shop-closing while Ramadan!! Well, it is their convenience, their choice!!! For us, both of them (that hippie and Egypth) went extreme in their choices! Islam is a middle path. If you think Arab culture is superior, you are not Muslim. If you think Western culture is superior, you are not Muslim. Is it really about that though? Because in north America during holiday season , muslim people and those who don't celebrate Christmas and such other practices have to just wait until businesses open the next day to get necessaries...we are told that's just the way it is. I agree that it's not just a set of rules , it's an entire belief system and spiritual way of life

Stores can choose to be open on Christmas. Most people want to be home with their families but there are places that are open. They aren't forced to close.

I have no problems with Islam or Muslims, but I have problems with theological countries that are Islamic states that force their religion on others are a big problem.

So true . More power to you girl .i am from pakistan and we follow our own culture . Islam is not that strict what we made it out .arabs mixed many cultural aspects with it too. You can follow your religion islam but your own culture . Which is totally fine.

Ok, I would tolerate her racist rhetoric against Arabs if it was factual, but it is not. I am a non-Muslim Arab, and yet I have lived with both Muslim Arabs and Muslims coming from different ethnicities. What she refers to as "Arab" is "Islam." For example, she claims the Islamic dress code has to do with the Arab community and not Islam. Welp! This is exactly the opposite! What unites Muslim and non-Muslim Arabs is the Arabic language, similar educational systems, foods, etc. What unites all Muslims, arabs and non-Arabs, is the Islamic dress code (hijab for women), views on the afterlife, social restrictions, holy days, very specific philosophies. Non-Muslim Arabs adhere to none of that, babe. Either renounce Islam if you don't 100% agree with ALL of its teachings, or embrace it with pride, but don't say utter lies, racist lies, about an ethnicity to somewhat come up with your own personal version of Islam. It's not a fallacy. I am a Muslim, I follow the rules to the best of my ability. Yes people should decide for themselves how to practice, whether it is right or wrong, If they have daleel they are correct, if they dont, they are wrong. Pretty simple, if they are wrong it doesnt make the idea a fallacy.

I am no expert by any means, but if she's following the Islamic dress code as she claims, why doesn't she cover her hair? You can see her hair, and her neck, which are open for everybody to see. Afaik only the face feet and hands can be exposed, yet she states she goes according to Islamic dresscode. I am confused.

@@ebusufjan51 Brother I agree with what you saying. But there are Muslims like them also. They are living not in a Muslim community. But they are learning Islam with quran and thafsir. They are also trying their maximum. There is room for people like them also in islam. During the time of prophet itself, Bedouin arabs were not practicing islam in the 100 percent way as prophet taught. And prophet emphasized more on people living in monotheism and practicing islamic rituals as far as they could. Even alcohol is prohibited in step by step. Slavery was prohibited step by step. Whole teachings of prophet was practiced only when islam got the power. You can't expect every Muslim to be 100 percent like that of Muslims in mecca or medina. These are few Muslims live where no other Muslims are there. They are the people who do salat and zikr in their land like Hungary. Please don't say they are not Muslims when Allah is merciful and welcoming. Islam is for everyone. They are the people who bear witnessed the shahada. What we as Muslims need to do is encourage them to be in line with sunnah in each aspects, and not calling them as non Muslims. Hope you understand brother.

That doesn't make any sense brother. We all follow Muhammads salllalahu alayhi wa salams guidance as we understand it. You can't follow anything if you don't have understanding. Allah tells us to use our intellect and our reasoning. Adding and Removing is simply not understanding. The correct way to say it, is you shouldn't do things out of ignorance, instead you should learn AND try to understand it. If you dont understand, how can you follow in the first place?
