It almost seems like the things we perceive as quirks about North Korea are more attributed to its Confucianism than its Communism. They seem fused here. That being said, just by virtue of the fact they have a way smaller carbon footprint than any Western country and are relatively self-reliant and don't invade other peoples' country, North Korea is a more ethical society based on that alone.
