I absolutely love how Willie replaces the part that says Willie and Waylon and me, to me Johnny Waylon and Kris just to fit everyone in the band, and later on the concert johnny did the same with the end of a boy named Sue

So true.
Real, solid Country; it has a story to tell and no matter the song, I cannot stop hearing it. Waylon, Johnny, Willie (and Kris too) personified what real original Country Western is and saved it back in probably early/mid 1960's...when the Outlaws burst the bacords of the execs and greedy owners who told them what and when to sing, etc. They broke away and I pray though gone now, that this Travis Tritt, the few others that loved and followed Waylon, Willie and Johnny will keep this great music growing and lasting. If it gets lost or on verge of dying, we have Waylons, etc, music to keep us going...they left us so much great stuff, often writing and singing their own music. Man, I miss the Outlaws, The Highway men. I got to see Johnny and Waylon, in separate shows in the 90's at County Fairss...they made their music available for the poor, the common people. (Streisand charged $300 to see her!
Saw them together in Wembley early nineties. Time seemed slower and easier then. Brilliant concert that I still remember as one of the best I have seen

Fantásticos, no hay mejores
4 different voices but 4 legends. My country. From Italy
When I was young child--back in the day-we would travel home, the Ozarks in Arkansas. As a family we would attend something call a Hoot-an-nanny performed by local folks. Singin', dancin', telling jokes for hours. These guys on stage takes me back, recalls those times gone by. When I die, and go to be with God, I hope to hear these guys perform again.
This still makes me cry
Music can't get. Any better than this ❤
I’m way up in Canada, but boy if anyone described cowboys these guys did.
Perfect melding of different voices and styles, that is The Highwaymen.
voices blend perfect

Munkhbayar Batmunkh , Well a Big Howdy from Texas America sir , A Texas cowboy
That's the best Waylon ever looked. I loved his music back then and still do.
This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost He rides the feed lots, clerks in the markets On weekends sellin' tobacco and beer And his dreams of tomorrow, surrounded by fences But he'll dream tonight of when fences weren't here He blazed the trail with Lewis and Clark And eyeball to eyeball, old Wyatt backed down He stood shoulder to shoulder with Travis in Texas And rode with the 7th when Custer went down This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost Remington showed us how he looked on canvas And Louis Lamour has told us his tale Me and Johnny and Waylon and Kris sing about him And wish to God, we could have ridden his trail This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz The voices sound sad as they're singin' along Another piece of America's lost This is the last cowboy song The end of a hundred year Waltz

I've been listening to this great concert for some time now, although I didn't know the existence of it. Otherwise I would have gone there for sure. Some of the songs, like this one, prove that a waltz can still be very beautiful! Waltzes are not so common anymore where I live, maybe I should write a modern waltz to get it back.
Absolutely amazing!!!
