The HIGH EVOLUTIONARY Created MUTANTS to Stop the Celestials?

Фильм және анимация

The High Evolutionary was right? The villain of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is easily the most evil baddie in the MCU...but WHY is he so hellbent on destruction and perfection? We think that he sees himself as a counter t the other great genocidal force in the universe--the Celestials. And to fight them, he created mutants in the MCU

#HighEvolutionary #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy3
I have been doing some deep thinking about the High Evolutionary, and I’ve had some realizations that make me view this villain in a whole new light. He still has a place in the MCU’s multiverse saga that involves mutants, celestials, and the multiverse saga. He might even be key in defeating Kang the Conqueror.
I also think that, despite being a genocidal megalomaniac with a god complex-he might have had the universe’s best interest at heart.
Doug: So was he right?
Ehhhh…no matter what it says in the thumbnail, this guy is pure evil. Probably the most evil villain we’ve ever seen in the MCU. On top of experimenting on animals and murdering Lyla, he kept children in cages and by his own admission, has committed genocide a number of times. So he was not right about all those things.
But I think that there’s more to the High Evolutionary than we thought. You have to look a little deeper and ask yourself why he’s doing the things. The movie made me wonder-why is he doing those things? What happened in his past that made him so obsessed with perfection. Ws star lord right when he says [mom didn't love him enough]. Or was he the victim of a great celestial tragedy?
I think we got a big hint about why he’s so obsessed with Earth-and if we’re right, this explains why he was left alive at the end of the movie-because, like rocket, he is part of a larger story that is being told.
Yo see, the high evolution is tied to two major components of the MCU going forward: mutants and the celestials.
Doug: But he’s dead.
Dude, 100%--the High Evolutionary survived his ship exploding. They make a point to spare him, and you don't waste a performance like Chuckwudi Iwuji on an offscreen death. So he is going to appear again. The question we should be asking ourselves is WHY the High Evolutionary was so hellbent on creating the perfect, peaceful race-for starters, why Earth?
The High Evolutionary not only visited Earth-but he liked it so much that he used it as a template to create a perfect society. Does that seem…weird to anyone else? Listen to what he says [your bigotry, ec]. He’s describing Earth like it’s kind of a shithole, isn’t he?
Now in the comics, he created a counter Earth for an obvious reason: he is from Earth-he’s a scientist named Herbert Wyndham.
Doug: Herbert?
Herbert.
Doug: I just can't imagine this guy being a herbert.
Probably why they changed his name. And, he was actually born in the 1800s-in the 1920s he did early genetics work with a scientist named Nathaniel Essex-the mutant Mr. Sinister in the comics. The High Evolutionary becomes obsessed with creating a perfectly evolved society on Earth-his home world. This is why he created a counter Earth, which sat on the exact opposite side of the sun.
Counter Earth was like a control experiment. The High Evolutionary was trying to create a utopia with a perfectly evolved race-so he could then replicate the experiment on his home planet. But in the movies, why replicate Earth? Why visit Earth to begin with?
First of all, I think it’s possible that he was on Earth a very long time ago. I think this guy is thousands of years old. He says that he’s destroyed his civilizations many times in the past. He learned how to master gravity, so I’m sure he figured out how to perform a few organ transplants and moisturize. After all, he would have to live for a long time to see his grand vision through to the end.
So this dude could have been on Earth for centuries. Meaning that his history with the marvel cinematic universe could go back even further than Thor. If that's the case, maybe he came to Earth when we were still living in caves. And maybe he started tinkering with humanity’s gees back then. He could even be responsible for the creation of mutants in the MCU-but more in that in a bit.

If you go all the way back to Agents of Shield (quasi-cannon-not-cannon) they go deep into the backstory of the Kree using humans as a potential ultimate warrior race and the genetic manipulations they were doing like x,xxx years ago. Someone had to be in charge of the splicing, but it wasn't technically the Kree nation, it was a splitner group or something. The High Evolutionary could have been in charge of that project, then decided to do it his own way when the kree-skrull war bored him, taking the earth template with him, but starting from scratch with the population. By doing the story this way, they could sort of bring AoS back into the greater MCU, since we've broken the multiverse wall. That would mean GhostRider, Agent Coulson, Hive and Quake - all these side-verse characters that have a developed backstory already would have footing in the bigger verse of phase whatever. There were so many plotlines that used the 'ancient kree' thread that it'd be stupid to do anything else.

I think the most plausible theory is the high evolutionary's involvement with Adam Warlock. He will be critical to bring out maximum power of Warlock who will probably be the biggest character in MCU. There is also the matter of the dark dimension which had direct mention in Guardians 2 and yet hasn't been explored. That will again connect with Fantastic 4 and the new Guardians will be central to the cosmic MCU

Not sure I care enough to understand his motivations at this point, though, I do think it would help to understand him better with more backstory. I think Rocket's line about not liking things the way they are is key. Perhaps, the way things are and their imperfection plays into his relationship with the Celestials? Obviously Kang Dynasty will be mostly Kang Variants, but we’ll need something more then just random minions to go against all the multiversal heroes in Secret Wars. Some you can bring back to life, like maybe Thanos, Ultron can definitely come back. But they can’t make everyone come back to life via the magic of time and the multiverse, so I think it’s a good idea to start leaving some of these villains in the movies alive during the build up to Secret Wars.

I have a theory that Adam Warlock also has Celestial genes, specifically, Peter Quill's genes. I think Ayesha was interested enough in Quills genes to get a sample from him when she met him. She witnessed the battle in Ego's core and the expansion occured on the Sovereign world, so she has all the pieces she would need to work out what Quill really is. When Quill absorbed the celestial light, he gained the powers of durability, strength, flight, functional immortality and energy manipulation, all eerily similar to the powers she was able to give to Adam, the only one adam doesnt have is matter manipulation, but maybe he just hasn't realised it yet. Remember, in the comics, he can form a cocoon around himself to heal. But you may ask whats powering these abilities if he doesnt have Ego, and I will point out that we never get an explanation of what the gem in his forehead does, and Ayesha had a mass of Ego's biomass to work with.

Star-Lord (now on Earth) gets in a fight with U.S Agent. (Kurt's kid vs Kurt's kid.}. Deathlok (in the future) going after Bishop. Bradley Cooper as Someone. (besides Rocket).

“Survival of the fittest” isn’t about who is strong or weak or who is powerful. It’s about who best fits into the given environment. A huge, powerful alien race could come to earth and wipe us out, but if they can’t breathe our atmosphere then they won’t last long here. Tiny little creatures who can breathe in our atmosphere would be much more likely to give rise to generation after generation of more tiny little creatures.

I liked Guardians 3 and thought that Chukwudi Iwuji gave a great performance, but the movie is about rejecting all the High Evolutionary's justifications despite how eloquent he is, not about trying to find a way to make tortured arguments about how his goals were good and only his means were bad. Rocket Racoon saying the High Evolutionary's goals and justifications were always lies is James Gunn speaking and warning us about charismatic and genocidal despots, not inviting us to equate the High Evolutionary with a Biblical God, or Vishnu and Shiva, or Allah, etc.

The Celestrials tinkered with humanity to help fight the horde. Basically mutants and mutates were created to help balance creation and destruction in the Universe. Celestrials represent creation while the horde represent destruction. The Eternals protect humanity and the machine(Earth). Mutants are actually the descendants of The Deviants in the comics based on the reconns during judgement day arc.

It falls apart when you consider the fact that the high evolutionary really wanted rockets intelligence so that the people he created would be highly intelligent as well. This would mean even at a lower population rate. They would reach the intelligence level that the Celestials needed quicker, You're taking a population that has maybe 10 or 20%. Highly intelligent people and replacing it with an population that has 80, 90 or a 100% intelligence. That would speed up the Growth of the celestial

Normally I check out on theories and just listen/like and watch another SC video, because ultimately the writers are the ones telling the story and I don't want to get my hopes up. But this theory feels really good. Like really good! The idea that the H.E. would be going about it from a revenge that spans thousands of years. Man oh Man!!!
