This game does have Strict Skill Based Team Balancing. Especially if you are the best player in the lobby and playing Solo you are going to lose more games than the win because it consistently stacks the majority of the weaker players in the lobby on your team. Meaning you basically have to hard carry every game or you lose but your team sucks so its harder to carry because its a team game.

Don't wanna be that guy, but yeah it's the way it's designed. The point I don't agree with is that you will "lose more games". Most modes in the game are winnable by solo carry, and it's not even that hard because of the huge skillgap in lobbies. Yeah, you could find sweaty lobby here and there, but it's really not that common. Got 16+ games winstreak in CTF+TDM playlist. 10+ games winstreaks are common in DOM also. So, if you're worried about your w/l ratio just don't focus on modes that you can't solo carry, that's it =)

​​@@NyteFalll i feel the same, i totally okay playing a 1v6 as long as the game makes it a viable option, but unfortunately this game doesn't really allow you to do that consistently because of the longer TTK and the randomness of abilities. On something like cod back in the day, i had one of best games ever in my CoD carrer on BO1 on summit with i believe the Ak74u. I dont remember the mode but i remember it being around 65 kills and 3-5 deaths while anyone else on my team had less than 10. Honestly im kinda hoping for a hardcore mode of some sort with like half health or something. The DMRs and m16 would probably be the meta in that though.

The game doesn't have "SBMM" , but it does have team balancing. which still tries to make the match as close as possible. How they calculate the individual and team skill level is still a mystery. Still, wouldn't put it beyond ubisoft to pull something shady.

I'm a daily player and up until a few days ago every session went pretty much the same, win some, lose some ect...but now it's feeling very predicable. After I dominate a handful of games I'm suddenly finding myself barely able to get a kill....after a handful of capital punishment games it's right back to me being top 3 evert game. That seems to be a very consistent pattern every day.

i play the solo dont have any friends to play with when i 1st started playing i went on a 20 win streak , in the last two weeks i cant go positive to save my life , sweating my heart out , spawned trapped by other good players .. its like i graduated into a different skill bracket everybody i die to is using meta … god level snipers in every lobby .. im not against playing against good players but am i seriously the worst player on my team everygame ? i haven’t been wanting to play lately

When you 1st started the game was sbmm up to rank 25 but after that its a free for all, unless your some kind of pro once you reach 25 your skill set becomes useless because your facing more cheaters and even more sweats. As i keep saying to everyone, this game is not designed for us casual players, its designed for sweats/grinders, we have NO place in this game in its current state. usually im a pretty decent all rounder, in the lest few days(since the update) my games have gone to sh*t and i have 2 accounts under rank 25 on PC and 1 at 36 and on PS5 i have 38, im getting the same problem on all accounts.

@NyteFalll disbanding lobbies started in 2019 when mw2019 came out it was part of an extensive algorithm that Activision filed to create the sbmm we know today that manipulates the game all the way down to things like ping hit markers footsteps literally every aspect to force desired outcome and boost sales for players who think they are doing good which leads to having fun and buying micros. Disbanding lobbies is only for one thing reevaluating performance and skill every match to manipulate the matchmaking and force an outcome that boosts retention and fun for the largest portion of the player base brainless casuals. They have fun they buy micros ubisoft makes money but to make that happen sweats have to play tournaments every match with different elements sometimes against equal skill sometimes against a couple super elites sometimes they just give your team the weakest 4 or 5 in the lobby and the other 6 on the other side no elites but too much to overcome when your team is double triple negative. They are lying to everyone but the craziest thing about it is the very players and yters who been on Activision since 2019 about this claim no sbmm its organic yet there is a skill rating and lobbies disband every game. Everyone will say they are good but you can codtrack my stats GODSEID they've placed me in either the top 0.1 or 0.2% of players since 2019 and my skill rating is 2000+ on x anyone who says skill issue is either extremely elite and trolling or a protected casual

I'm level 70 now. I get players from 25 - 160 and haven't had to sweat. I am trying to unlock attachments in all weapons, so I am playing with snipers, shotguns, marksman, etc. I always get a 1.0 kd or more. Pretty chill for me.

He did mention that, but it doesn't mean it's true. Honestly, I don't think that was his decision to begin with. I think the decisions regarding algorithms and net codes comes down from the CEO (Yves Guillemot). Similar to Bobby Kotick with Activision. I mean, there might not be SBMM in the game, but I'm pretty sure there is some form of EOMM. EOMM is designed to keep players playing for as long as possible, so they are more likely to buy micro-transactions in the store. And for a game that's free to play like Xdefiant, people buying bundles and skins in the store is the only way Ubisoft makes money from this game. So, either Mark knows about it and is lying to us, or Ubisoft put EOMM into the game behind Mark's back and didn't tell him about it. Think about it. If Ubisoft sees all of the money Activision makes from micro-transactions in its games, you think Ubisoft doesn't want the same? Of course they do!

I bet if it is in the game they probably put it in behind rubins back. Honestly I’m really solid at the game so it really hasn’t effected me too much at least so far I played last night and only felt a tad harder.

I've been put in either shadow ban lobbies or SBMM. I got 93-20 and for a week it was crazy sweaty. It went back to normal but i think they aren't telling us something... Matches have always felt a little bit SBMM esque...

@@NyteFalll I do believe that they added some level of skill-based matchmaking in season one. There is no longer a feeling of variety in casual lobbies. Every match that I played last night felt highly competitive and sweaty.

Also post patch the amount of people in my lobby who already have the new mastery skins. It’s way too common. There’s no way I’m seeing this many people with this high of skill by coincidence when beforehand it was rare for me to see somebody with a gold gun, I’ve commented almost all your videos about this because I thought I was crazy and I’m glad I’m not the only on a sidenote my skill ranking continues to go up although my stats are struggling substantially more than pre-patch, which signals to me that I must be playing against substantially better competition than before if my skill rating is not being adversely affected by my mid and bad games.

My skill rating seems to be frozen in place now. But for people to have the new skins already is crazy. I mean I suppose if they are using weapon boosters, my P90 has the level 300 skin already and if I played more like I did pre patch I'd probably have it level 400 already

Here's what I think is happening, btw you are kinda right. I think they create player pools totally separate from their lobby balancing, and those carefully constructed pools are queued for players, and it feels like that for 90 ish minutes until the pools are randomized again. This is why you can have waves of winning and waves of losing, and your ping can also vary at times, from 20 to 60. This would also explain the randomly crappy hit reg! People are making excuses saying more people are getting better, but that's just not how numbers work, more good players means more bad players, and that simply is not happening. There is a clear player disparity. I think they released this game as a stop gap to soak up cash before Black Ops 6. I hope I am wrong because I REALLY want this game to thrive.

I'm fine with non-ranked lobbies matching up based upon connection, and then teams balanced by skill rating, which is how XDefiant non-ranked is right now. I think part of the issue with lopsided games is people group up in their three stack pubstomping parties and go against solo players. Wish the game had a mercenary playlist.

I think there's 2 important things to consider. First SBMM is already in the game, in Ranked and in the Welcome Playlist for all new players below level 25. If it's only for level 25 and below why are there so manny players below level 25 in every lobby? That shouldn't be happening. Those players don't have the experience or knowledge or RIGHT Equipment YET. They shouldn't be in those lobbies if they are under the Welcome Playlist SBMM Bracket. SO what is happening? Are people not aware of the Welcome playlist? Are there not enough players already? Second thing is that despite the game having reached 11 million players (or so they claim) individually it doesn't mean that those players are all still active. It's natural for the Population of the game to drop continuously over time and i think the drop in XD has been very very big due to poor connections, lack of servers, manny bugs, lack of actual content, etc. I don't wanna hate on the game but there is something strange going on. 3 weeks ago i had a 10 win streak, even in matches i went negative , the team still pulled in the W, i mostly play objective anyway but now, since that 10 win streak 3 weeks ago, it's been nothing but frustration and constant raging. I legit can't win a gunfight against an MP7, doesn't matter who the enemy player is, i insta drop vs MP7's, i could be using an LMG at range and somehow i still insta drop vs an MP7. over 90% of my deaths in every match are to the MP7, i can challenge any other gun fine by if i face up against an MP7 there's literally fuck all i can do as if i'm destined to always die to MP7 no matter what i try. Using Phantom Class doesn't work, trying to outdamage with Cleaners doesn't work, and the other classes are all 100 hp with no extra damage or protection. And before people say it, no way i'm getting headshotted every time to make TTK feel that melty. And if you wanna talk about TTK then you should know i've played CoD Ghosts and Iw2019, 2 of the fastest TTK games you could play and i did fine in both of them. I absolutly despise slower TTK games where shooting first means nothing. SLower TTK = SHIT HIT REG. Devs get away with shittier netcode if the TTK is slower. Since it doesn't need to register every shot perfectly, the inconsistencies come in. Hit Detection in Ghosts was FLAWLESS, if your aim was on them the hit is valid there's no ifs or buts. I can go boot Ghosts right now and the Hit REGISTRATION will feel good in every weapon BECAUSE IT WORKS BECAUSE IT's FAST TTK.

What your saying does sound very plausible and it might be what's causing the lag or indeed the hit detection where your dead 10 minutes after you got behind cover. I do not know if they are conning us or what, but it seems to me that they are forcing people to end up in games they are going to get hammered in, what i mean is it could be the opposite to sbmm as in the lower the skill you are the higher the skilled player you face, forcing you to improve i guess, i dont know im speculating too. Either way, i feel things are very off and for now i will not be playing until the next update.

Nah something happened after that season 1 update.

Even with my experiment that I did earlier could maybe suggested that. Playing only in controller and on console. Having crossplay on and Input matchmaking on. Suffering through the frame drops on the PS5 was insufferable. Earlier, they sent a patch out and the frame rate was improved greatly. Able to play. But was still running to sweats constantly. Then I thought to turn input matchmaking off. As soon as I did that. The game became fun again with close games. Haven't ran into a Kbam player at all. Which is weird, but my games felt better. In my experience with turning Input matchmaking off.

What game modes are you playing because certain game modes will be having more sweats because people are gonna be playing those because ranked is out and there warming up or just practicing before they get on ranked TDM is still as casual as can be besides the people grinding the new mastery camos

yeah same problem for me before the update i could play with only the 93R and still be top1 of the leaderboard now i can't play a single game where I'm not getting sprayed with a mp7/acr/lvoak/M44 and i die faster than i would've before the patch with a guy only hitting headshots on me with an ak its busted and they are probably gonna leave it like that (i hope not)

I am playing the regular version (no founder's pack) and I have players ranging from lvl 1 to 120+ in the same lobby. I am lvl 90+ playing one other 90+. Except for a few lvl 19 with 70 to 12 kd I can't say I noticed something different, but I play with PC only which means that all my games are sweaty

I'm a 124 rn and I can almost time when I'll get a sweaty match. I definitely suspect EOMM because my best matches are always around 30 mins before I normally log off and every opening game I get is sweaty and I warm up first. I just afk my first two matches to reverse boast and boom I'm good to go. And anyone can track this just start logging your match with time and weather it was fun or not and you will start to see a pattern within a week.

I said this before and got bashed... A FPS shooter CANNOT release in 2024 without some kind of matchmaking algorithm when there is money to made with player retention.. it's even more critical with a free a to play game because they are DEPENDENT on players spending money in the store. There is too many other games for people to spend there money on if they are not having fun and pubbed stomped. Publisher's know this. It's NOT 2008 and more with limited game choices.

Exactly! I'm convinced there is EOMM in this game. It's free to play so they only way Ubisoft makes money is players buying Micro-transactions in the store. The only way people will do that is, is if they play the game for as long as possible. Hence EOMM. I've experienced a lot of the same things in this game that I did in COD and it's more than just bad hit reg and net code. Shoot one player and melt them. Shoot their teammate and they are a bullet sponge. Or I will die to one or two bullets from one player, but then take a fair amount of damage from his teammate before dying. Plus, I look at the scores after every match and almost everyone ends with a 1 K/D and goes even (Same number of kills as deaths). And the final scores are also close. It's hardly ever a blowout. It's almost always like 97-100, 98-100, etc.... It works for Activision and EA. Do people really think that Ubisoft doesn't want the same thing?

hello i'm a very casual player... PS5: i'm mostly the highest lvl in the lobby... i agree with all your statements in all your videos. i get paired up with sweaty low-lvl-people. if there was no EO/SBMM at all: why I never see streamers? but why as I negative KD-player I'm sometimes the only one in my team that seems to have some clue about how to play??? on PC I can't win gunfights...I uninstalled Pc. whatever I tried (changing my antivirussettings, cleaning,etc,...) people killed me at sight or they didn't take damage of a 3/4 mag I put into them, they turn and instakill me... i don't even care abvout begin killed behind walls, it's the straight forward gunfights I lose...worse than the COD-experience which I also uninstalled (op ps5) bcos if you don't have an "open" channel, enemiesnames pop-up way too late (really way too late) compared to the sweats which have instant enemienamespopups on their screen...when you're technically visible...

I cannot say I am experiencing exactly the same issues, but I am definitely not having the best time on the game anymore. I do feel like I have to sweat every game to win though. I start my games with I would say 'off meta' weapons, then try to level them up. But I end up switching to my main classes every game almost just because it is such a sweat fest. I don't mind playing hard competitive give it all style most of the time, but one thing about this is that this was not the case before season 1. Another thing......THE BUGS ARE MAKING IT SO SHIT TO PLAY. Literally getting abilities that disappear for no reason, cool downs glitching, my nades freezing as I throw them then disappear and dying behind walls like crazy.

I turned off cross play and I seen a huge improvement I'm on Xbox series x it's so nice being on a even playing field and cross plays on everybody has a powerful gaming rig that wrecks Plus it's nice to be away from the rage hackers too bad it's slow to matchmake TDM is manageable definitely it's a little slower but it's better hit registration feels better too The whole hit registration thing apparently

There was a PS5 Patch that went out tonight, but the season 1 update was on Tuesday

I let my 6 year old son play in my account last night. He wanted to play before downloading it. He played for 4 hours and probably got a total of ten kills 😂. That being said since he gave me my PC back, I haven't see a level above 30 since. Also, if I go on a terror which is nearly every single match, Suddenly my entire game crashes. Every single time, the woke game crashes without an error code or anything. It just goes to my desktop and I have to load the game again. I literally can't play because of this.

My matchmaking with this game has been very bipolar. Either I struggle to get a 1.0 K/D, or I go 44 and 10. As we've gotten further from launch, those good matches have gotten rarer. Everyone plays like Jigsaw is going to take a finger if they lose. I don't know if the John Does have quit the game for the Elden Ring dlc and we're left with the TTV nerds, or what.

Well for me the matchmaking has been very chill so far since season 1, now I'm not gonna say that there is absolutely nothing shady going on in the background cause it might be (It is Ubisoft after all). But for me I have been constantly running into founders pack people almost every game and I don't even own it. Also I am level 83 and I have seen a mix of level 160 and level 14 so I'm not sure.

If you’re a solo player, understand there IS team balancing. The pool of players you match with is random (ping top priority) but which players go to which team is skill based. If you play solo and feel like you’re breaking your back carrying bad teammates every game, you are. Either get over it or find people to play with because unfortunately it’s not going to change.

There is no way ping is top priority. My ping is a steady 30-40. But I get in games with people at 70, 100, 140 all the time. Makes no sense

All these comments that think either eomm or sbmm is in xdefiant are coping so hard just git gud 😂

I haven't seen anyone really saying that in the comments. But it's easy to say things like skill issues and git gud when the issues we are experiencing aren't happening to you. And before you say skill issue, even though you probably still will, I went form being able to drop 60 to barely able to drop 20 overnight, I don't think I just suddenly lost all skill

@@NyteFalllit’s basically just the fact that most people have all the attachments for the meta guns unlocked by now. all the better players didn’t play the meta guns as much as before as they had them all on lvl 200. So they went out and played worse guns often with none or less attachments. As season 1 came along, suddenly it’s worth it again to grind the meta weapons as the lvl cap was increased to 400. Ig you really think anything changed with the matchmaking you just suck mate, seen your videos. As the previous gentleman just said: get gud

@@NyteFalll Yeah, I'm not sure what to call the stuff going on, but it doesn't feel like it's happening by chance. The amount of times I'm put onto a team with garbage players and against sweatlords, is INSANE. They can say their team balancing system technically works differently than COD's SBMM, but it feels the same in the end, 1 or 2 good players carrying a bunch of bad players, against a team of gods.

​@NyteFalll im on a $6000 pc with 1.2 gbps internet. I noticed the hit reg and net code got worse after their health regen update a few weeks back that made the game feel worse. Now after season 1 it's absolutely dog ish and I'm have the same issues you are. I went from being mid to top of my team every game to being bottom. Ih have noticed it seems like the aim assist isn't working, seems like I have to laser the ish out of someone to get the kill yet some basically one taps me and I'm dead. I'm not getting any hit reg when I'm getting shot from behind, all the sudden I'm just dead from stupid ish like a secondary lmfao. Mind you running average 30 ping, 1.2gbps internet plugged in, and running 220 fps @ 4k (New Alienware Oled) per the game overlay, and 330 fps according to the AMD Adrenaline software.

I'm in lobbies with high ping players, up to 200 ping. I'm a 15 or lower ping. That would only happen if the game were dead or SBMM...

I only play unranked. Im level 120 something and there all sorts of levels. I do see some sub 25 levels that i wonder why they are not playing in the welcome playlist.. but I think alot of it is more of a server, netcode, performance related. Still like the game tho.

Some of those sub 25 players are grouping up with friends that are above 25, which then makes the group ineligible for the welcome playlist.

It should have sbmm, but it's based on your rank and with everyone at bronze it's just trash now

Their might be some hidden eomm but I think the game was just flooded with cheaters pretty much from day 1 and cheaters are going to make any match making system not work correctly. I don't think SBMM is a bad thing I just think cheaters ruin the systems because you can have player who cheats who is the same rank as you but they will still consistently kill you with there cheaters and it's really only better cheaters that keep this cheater in the same skill bracket as you.

@@NyteFalll Founders Pack by default is always FOMO package across all games of all genre in the past 20 years. Why? It's specifically for Founders, aka early players of the game. That has never changed. Also they removed since the Pre-season ended.

Not going to lie I’m getting bodied in Xdefient 😂 compared too when I was playing call of duty.

First time watching your channel. You are dead on. Been telling others wait til season one comes and it thickens. Game was delayed 10 months too implement it no doubt they had too i'm sure. No basic features like kill cams and lobby leaderboards. Like Cod they will deny it's there! Sadly we live in the times of the participation trophy generation😢

Well cope with this. If you watch any previous content you'll see I usually do very well, I can get 40 kills easy and average about 34. After this update things feel off and me and my whole team of randoms go negative and can't get more than 20 kills in a game. Doesn't make sense for someone to just turn to crap overnight. Also I literally said in the video that this all may be coincidence and that it's solely my opinion based on my experience. It's so easy for people like you say things like this when whatever is wrong doesn't effect you.

The season 1 update made the game worse. Getting disconnected from servers, hit detection got worse. I will put 3 to 4 bullets in a guy and my teammate finishes the kill and I don't eve get an assist. When your connection is good an your bullets actually register the game is decent but lately, for me the hit reg is dogshit. Also I get more ghost bullets against cleaners faction than any other faction, this has benn since launch it almost like there hitbox is broken.

Tinfoil hat imo I always match up against lvl 2s or 3s as lvl 70 Plus why the hell would they even add EOMM, the trash players were complaining about the matches being too hard so they're clearly not getting protected by it, and if they got caught lying it would be over

Oh I know im average or just above it. But I was able to drop 40 kills easy and average 34. Always positive, after the update and xbox outage for a half a day, things seem harded and now I average like 15-20 and struggle to stay positive. Before this I was never getting bodied like this maybe 1 game a day

I'm not trying to blame anything. Something is going on. Like I said in another video I was easily going positive every game I played, usually top 1 or 2 on my team in unranked dropping 50-60 kills. Season 1 update hits playing great, xbox outage happens, come back and now for 2 days straight feels like I'm playing on legendary mode from Halo, can't drop more than 25 kills struggling to go positive. Doesn't make sense to say I just turned to crap in mere hours.

I have to disagree and unsub tbh Loved the content when you started with xdefiant recently you just bash on it and cant accept the fact that your bad lol the game will put you in the same lobbies cause the matchmaking is connection based so the player has the best game possible with other players in their region hence why you could be running into the same lobby and whatever you were ramblin on about the founder pack just sounds dumb imo makes no sense nor does it show any evidence of eomm :/ One thing i do agree with is the game being unplayable on ps5 this update its terrible and unplayable at all but the few games i have played no matchmaking updates have been made

Sorry to see you go as a sub. Glad you liked the previous content though. I don't want to get on here daily and bash the game, I really don't. I want it to be a great game and I want to be able to be hyped about updates and new content for it. But it's hard to do that with all the small bugs and now something going on with the game as a whole. You can say I'm bad at the game all you want. But let's have an actual conversation about this. How do I go from being able to play just fine, get 40-50 kills per game with a 2.0 kd most games before the season 1 update and whole xbox outage. To now struggling to stay positive kd and maybe get 20 kills, while my whole team is doing the same thing but the enemy team has 3 people going like 30-10. And if this was just a game or two I'd be fine, but it's not it's been 2 days straight of this just feels like I'm dying instantly sometimes before I even hear gunfire, and this is all in unranked. It just doesn't make sense to call it a skill issue plus thousands of other people are reporting the same experience and sure a few of them might just be bad at the game, who knows. But it doesn't make sense. I really hope I can get back to loving the game and enjoying it. Also hope I can earn your sub back at some point. Either way I appreciate your feedback
