not directly related to the video but, i just went through and replayed FO3, NV and 4 (and I've been playing 76 off and on since launch). Now, NV was a game I did not like when it came out. I fell in love with Fallout for the 50s feel and the ruined city, and NV was country music and desert. So many little things had been changed from FO3 that it felt foreign to younger me and I hated it. I beat it at the time, modding it so I would be OP, beelining the MSQ and never went back to it. I knew in hindsight it was good, but being older I could never circle back, especially after FO4 came out. I say that, so when I say this, there's no illusion of nostalgia or rose colored glasses. Now having circled back and played them all again, NV really is the best of the 3. Better than FO3 in every single way (FO3 did not age well), and better than FO4 in most ways. FO4 has a better world, its bigger, theres more to explore, loot, crafting was upgraded, and ofc the better graphics. But NV has way better world feel, the factions and settlements, better RPG mechanics, story, characters, and is overall just more immersive. After playing FO4 following NV, 4 just felt like a lot of fluff. They didn't put any settlements in besides Diamond City and covered it up by the "youre building the settlements" mechanic. There were several never ending quests for fluff. No reputation mechanic really. People talk about FO4s gunplay being way better, and it is good, but NV has ADS too and it felt perfectly fine. I regret not circling back to NV sooner because it really is amazing. I didnt explore every nook and cranny or anything. followed the MSQ, completed side quests as they came up, especially with the factions and my follower (Veronica). I also didn't do any of the DLCs, not sure if I will circle back to it or not for those. But yea, I've been converted. I truly understand how good NV was now and as excited as I am for FO5, Idk if I have faith in Bethesda to make a game as good as NV.
