The Heavenly Forces / Russian Aerospace Defense / Pantsir missile system / Igla / Verba

Ғылым және технология

Back in the time during the field entrenchment era people knew where an attack may come from: allies were behind, enemies - in front. Even when a threat came from above, people were informed by increasing aircraft engine roar and could try to take cover. Today death glides silently from the skies. Attacks from the air may come even in a peaceful time: Abqaiq-Khurais incident when drones were used to attack oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia or assassination attempt on the president of Venezuela.
In this episode of Combat Approved you will see some unique footage of missile tests and will learn more about not only specific models of the Russian Aerospace Defense missile systems, but how the entire system works.

It's not that the Turkish purchase speaks for itself, it's more the Sanctions and arm twisting by the US to avoid anyone using it and denying a easy access to the area, no matter where! That's why the US is trying what they can to pressure, Sanction or use economic means to do it! This is what's showing how capable the system really is, and how far they would go to keep it away from around the world, because it would shrink their access! And another fact is that the Soviet Union as well as Russia have been investing in the radar and airdefense systems for a very long time! The multilayer system is not called "Areal Denial Systems" for nothing (by military specialists around the world)!

Russia also has the decency to admit when something is state owned, whereas America's big corporations control a lot of what happens but either deny anything happened or claim it's a "moral responsibility." Plus, I think Russian "Nationalization" is used to keep out Foreign Influences and punish big criminals. In America, it's basically proposed to screw over "Mom & Pop" shops (the ones that still exist, after Walmart and the like got through wrecking these with state backing) or "Farmer John". If the Electoral College is removed, America is going to look like the early decades of Bolshevism. That is, starving, constantly at war, bodies on the streets, diseases more rampant than ever, more indebted than ever, Cultural Suppression, Genocides, etc. I see America's leaders as more Globalist and Corporatist than like Smith, Bastiat, Coughlin or Chesterton, whereas many Americans want it more like those did than not. Russia is still "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma", but largely different than before; neither American nor Soviet, though partially influenced by both. There are also influences from Imperial Russia but also the "Slavophiles", but sometimes others and from across many political positions. Central Asia, East Siberia and the like sure complicate matters, especially given the countries on Russia's Southern Border. It makes the crapfest that is the situation with Mexico and its cartels (or Cuba and the criminals that Castro bragged about dumping into Florida) look "stable" (by comparison). Once my ability to speak (not to mention read) Russian isn't so poor, I'd like to go to certain parts and learn from experience. America has good places but just not nearly as many as in prior decades. It doesn't *all* look or think like Netflix . . . yet.

Yeah but many more Bayraktar we're shot down by pantsirs. And russian armed forces equipment is NOT export variants. And they deploy the best electrónic warfare equipment along air defense like Krasukha 4, Repelent, Moskva and Murmannsk. A silly drone like Bayraktar is a toy versus this equipment. They Will take control of It in the or burn It.

Russia should develop programmable AHEAD ammunition for its guns to combat small and cheap suicide drones. This would create the opportunity to combat this type of weapon cheaply and effectively. Missiles are just too expensive to defend against loitering drones.

@@fedorevdokimenko3978 However, EW will not always work for self-piloting drones with AI elements. Then the Russian army would be forced to shoot down those cheap drones with their expensive missiles. An unnecessary waste of resources. I am sure that the 30 mm guns e.g. of the Pantsir could easily be equipped with coils for data transmission on the muzzle brakes. In addition, the target computers and the appropriate programmable fuses on the 30 mm grenades. It could also intercept mortar shells and ballistic missiles. The cost of a "target kill" would drop significantly.
