Absolutely, we all watched as an Israeli missile destroyed "Pantsir" 'operated by a careless Syrian crew who just wanted to go smoke, they turned off "Pantsir"' and went to smoke. for such actions in the Russian army, this crew would have been fired on the same day. Moreover, this crew would have received harsh punishment for violating the military regulations in a combat situation. This is what distinguishes banana republics from great armies, no matter if it is the army of the United States, Russia or China.

@@MidwestDIY They havent destroyed a single S300 system but only parts of the system. Either launcher (heavely damaged) controllstation or the radar, not an ENTIRE system. All these "destroyed" subsystems are easy to replace and damaged systems can be repared. You clearly has No knowledge about these systems

@@MidwestDIY clearly a single missile did not destroy an entire s300 system costing 115 million dollars, unless it was nuclear. Russia has very capable missile technology, it is quite obvious and has been shown time and time again. They have the best aa systems in the world, there is no competitors. The closest systems are from America like the patriot, which has had a lot of its own issues, is way more expensive and on paper much less capable. There are a lot of factors that go into play, one of them is the fact that it is not wartime and these systems are not on high alert.

Okay this is the first production crew to say not to shoot down the drone . And this is now my favourite military channel

Pansir is another word for a shield. There is a pansir on insects like beetles . Aka exoskeloton that protects them thats called pansir in Russian

It's not just one system got field tested, the whole concept of the modern warfare is being tested. Some nations will put it on their flags in the future.

Why this system was humiliated in both Syria and Lybia by Turkish drones then ? I do respect Russian weapons and Engineering a lot but i really can't find an explaintion why it failed badly in actual combat .

@@Daniel-jg8ff I have nothing against the system or Russian weapons and I'm not an expert on weapons but this system was reportedly eliminated twice by the air force of two different countries Turkey and Israel in that matter . maybe it was lack of training by the operators or the fact that this system cannot operate on it's own and must be integrated in multi layer air defence umbrella .

@@82boulou who told you that i wonder? )) 2 of these were damaged in Syria cause Syrian army used mobile phones to give orders so turkey used other drones (ankas) to target them for tb2 and despite that 20 tb2 were destroyed, but Turkey anyway did everything to show it as a kind of success, despite Turkey is our ally in Syria and we shouldnt be expecting those act from them! Actual combat was when drones attacked russian base!

Ok guys and especially Turks full of proudness. Pantsir S1 has already shot down at least 30 TB2 in Syria and Libya . Turkey has under service more than 150 TB2 . In some cases the TB2 was able to destroy several Pantsir when these stayed out of munition. Some of them destroyed on moving , at roads and other in storage condition, beneath aircrafts shed . Also the air defence mode of operation is a sum of diferent equipment , weapons and early warning systems. So.....close your mouth....gently. TB2 is quasi Turkish drone. With Austrian engine, Canadian target system and now Germans cameras in new CATS , with American subsystems(CPU,microchips etc) and British launchers beneath the wings, is something to should keep the Turkish arrogance in low level. Israelians Americans and French as well lost many cruisse missile in the previous attack against Syria. The two system that had worked very good was the Pantsir S1 and Tor M2. So is quite difficult or inposible for the Turks to being more efective from these techonolical superpowers .

People who states that the Pantsier is a failure know very Little about this system and how any SAM-system works. Those KZread-clips that People Love to point out that this system is a failure, have you even seen those?. The majority of the videos show Pantsir-system in transportmode where the radar and missilesystem is inactive, second analysts have proved that several were out of missiles which makes the pretty ineffective att Long range, third the killratio against missiles, rockets and drones is superior to lost SAM-systems. Fourth: Not a single Russian operated and Russianissued (nonexport) S1/S2 version has been lost despite they have been used as much as those operated by Syria and UAE both in Syria and in Libya. Those S1 used by UAE and Syria is downgraded exportversions with less capable radars and controlsystems

Bro! they came here to shit and claim that its russian propaganda - nothing else!!! because there is no propaganda in any of their (our) countries (bahahaha) - only in Russia !!!But if any of them had brains to think they would for example take all reports of destroyed vehicles and personnel in Karabakh since the beginning of recent conflict from both sides and it will show that both sides destroyed more units than both countries ever had!!!! Also this video is 4-5 years old actually and there were 3 modernisations of Pantsir and the only one who has the new one is Russia, probably deployed in Syria as well because none of the drones or missiles managed to reach their base there so far (and they tried a lot) New version has 8 or 12 smaller missiles against drones and amount of various combat experience this system got is priceless, so let them keep thinking that this Baklavaraktar 2 is better, that they can destroy any russian pantsir or other systems - let them think that thats how it all is - Hitler also thought......

dude, we've seen pantsirs being hit while their radars are active but not firing at all.. we ve heard and seen s-300, s-200 radars being hit by drones while they were active in Karabakh.. so then.. in that case export versions are useless against light armed drones. i donno if that is because of tactical utilization of the drones overwhelming them batteries.. or they are simply incapable of picking up drones that size? then just don't buy export versions of russian equipment, it will be a waste of your money? buy something else? we've withnessed this over and over again in history.. russian equipment utilized by 3rd world countries, sent back to junkyard being unable to shoot back against western equipment utilized by better trained armies. they are only good if the opposition's mostly guerillas or irregulars.. or if they have similar russian equipment.

Secondly: Third world countries has never used any weaponsystems used by Sovietunion or any other warsawpactcountry. All of these old weaponsystems has been old downgraded exportsystems plus they have Always encountered western systems that are 10-30 years more modern

@@Daniel-jg8ffthen you did not understand what i said.. whether they were inactive-active, they were ineffective, were worth as tumbling junk. pantsirs, tor systems were released in 2010s fairly modern, not 30 yaers old. they were developed in the same era with UCAVs and their extensive usage. They were advertised as an answer to UCAVs and they failed. From now on people won't buying those "export versions" as much.

The S1 was the first version then the S1E like the one in the beginning of the video it has a radar with two sides. Then the S2 and now the most modern is the SM and the export version S1M, they have new radars and missiles, anti-drone missiles and they will get hypersonic missiles later.

The target was softer and the bolts just got true without breaking in pieces, if it was hard metal or resisting material it will be destroyed in a pieces.

You can literally tell from the operators footage, that the operator is missing the drone on purpose the first time. Compared to the Second time, where he just let the radar track the drone and then shoots.

Pantsir is not some ultimate weapon, it is defense system which work in cooperation with other and deal with own targets. Who filmed video from your link? Heavy drones from large altitude? How it possibly? It means that skies are opened and not defended. Is it fail of Pantsir, or it just mean that country have no radars which controls skies and another complexes which can deal with aircraft on such altitudes? It is targets outside of Pansir range. Look how organized air defense in Russia: it is multilayered defense from bunch of misc radars and complexes, which work in united system. It is only way how it works. For each kind of target is own kind of radars and own weapons. What can attack S-400, can’t attack Pansir. What can attack Pantsir, can’t attack S-400. And so on, there are bunch of more weapons. It is like to say, that tanks are crap because with easy destroyed by bombers. You said exactly the same stupid thing. And about video: where you see S2? In video zero of S2 and even zero of S1. Syria have only S1E (E means ‘export’). Libya got bunch of Pantsir from UAE, it is also S1E (moreover, in Libya there are no at all people which can operate Pansir). Also on youre video is clear see how destroyed empty machines. Video is low quality, exist better, as example you can see at left side of video how crew is rest. On other videos you also can see empty opened car or crew around. Turkey show how it destroyed Pantsir in Libya, one was destroyed in hangar (turned off), other one when it was moved by truck (turned off), else one just abandoned during land battle with fire from bullets. Want to see how Pantsir works - look at Russian base in Syria, it was attacked by missiles, dozens times by drones and even several times by mortar fire. Pantsir and rest complexes perfectly protected base.

KHAN SPENCER Else again, Syria have nothing except S1E. Moreover, it even in theory can’t get S2, because Russia never sold own weapons, it is deny by Russian laws. In Russia possibly to buy only ‘export’ versions of weapons (sometimes that weapons even developed independently by different companies, one for Russian Army, another one for foreigners). As example everyone was sure that range of Kalibr missiles is only 300 km, because it is what could demonstrate countries which bought it. And then suddenly Russia used same Kalibr which flew over 1500 km and month ago 4500 km. It is perfect difference between limitations for export version and weapons which country produce for self. Modern Pantsir Russia installed on own base to protect self after it was attacked by american-backed drones. In result Pantsir protected base even from mortar, it is awesome. About S-400 - it is not rumors, but stupid propaganda. Before you buy such expensive and complicated complex as S-400, you firstly study people for years (and they know what it can and what not, they have practice) and of course get demonstration of possibilities before you paid. Nobody paid billions of dollars for unknown thing. First foreigner buyer of S-400 was China, before they bought it (and China bought a lot, they paid tens billions and still continue to buy), they organized (paid) incredible tests, when S-400 was attacked from all directions with massive attack of cruise missiles, S-400 eliminated everything. S-xx have a long good history, as example they perfectly eliminated American aviation during war in Vietnam, or how literally ancient S-125 (from 1961) shot down modern American so-called stealth F-117 in Serbia.

Nothing compared to the BUK, my absolute favorite AA system in the world. Way ahead of its time and still in major use. Not only that but it’s beautiful! Pansir keeps failing in Ukraine but not the BUK-3! Long live the BUK!

Such a unique weapon, one with a lot of potential in the future. People are talking about it’s destruction in the hands of Syrians and some rebels in Libya.. the problem is exactly that, this was a sophisticated weapon in the hands of unskilled personnel. They had little or no training on how to effectively use it, UAE delivered these weapons to Libya without any skilled personnel to operate it. It takes months or years to train people effectively on a weapon system. Not to mention the Russian version of pantsir will be much better equipped than the export version with both radar and software, with better trained crew and highly sophisticated layered air defense to complement.

one single jdam.. when it hits close to 20 meters from this SAM, it will be destroyed. wheels made out of gum - one single shrapnel or eod....and it cant move. What is the quick reaction time i bet minimum 30-45 sec till the crew have a picture from air battlefield. they use technique from 80ies....two radars ...one for follow and identify, one for targeting. that is oldskool as well.

Russia like 90% of the countries in the world have defense forces this weapon is defensive, Russia is not an imperialist country the don't developed arms to project power that is why they only have just enough weapons to defend themselves, the US and NATO promised not to set bases or absorbed the mliliaries of neighboring states that they peacefully gave independence to, what does the US do surround Russia with military bases within miles of their brothers, just imagine if they did that. Putin has said that NATO and the US are the biggest militaries in the world and that he wishes he did not have to spend so much on defense he says that his people need hospitals, schools, housing but that the US won't stop knocking on their borthers. That is why weopens are different they have different missions that is why no aircraft carriers one they are to expensive and second they don't have a mission for them they are not defensive weopens.

Bit i think you misunderstood what I’m saying I was talking about how they have helicopters fly so close to each other and they’re performing stunts like an 80s 90s actions movie. Not talking about any political matters. They do have an aircraft carrier though the Admiral Kuznetsov. However it colided with a dry dock and is out of service for a refitas of nov 2020.

The Pantsir is not the only air defense system that can track in the fire on the move the German gepard the Japanese type 83 the American avenger the American LAV-AD can all do that and have been able to do that for decades

It is when Israel attacked complex when crew rest around? Incredible hard target :) Syrians use export (with limits) version of old Pantsir, they have no Russian version which works automatically without people, only manual. I could destroy it in that situation even with rocks )) Pansir several times protected Russian base in Syria even from mortar fire.
