i understand the need to trim the hair , but when it blowing wind or cold outside its better to have the longer hair then not? now that you did cut the hair, its time for neck sharf and the beanie, ! next time longer hair is an insulater for the body, ?

Wow love this video soooo much . Seeing areas I know from my time in Patagonia . Was a great high of joy in former memories of that area . Another spectacular episode..shared with family. Nicks haircutting reminded me of my dad lining up my brothers and me to cut our hair. When I turned 12, I earned money to get it professionally cut. Special way to spend Christmas and New Years amid one of the most unique places on earth.

👍Again the mountain views incredible. Lakes just amazing. Loved shot of horses running wild and guanacos. Sad about wire fence. The cabin was soooo cool and Tom's note. Nice to hear Tom is still in the area. Still remember Tom's attempt to bake a potato🥔 in Jerry's engine. 😅. Breathtaking landscapes. I love your family vibe. Very special spirit. For all that I was gutted by the indifference to the wildlife and the evil barbed wire. Man’s cruelty never ceases to amaze. It was the bane of the Wild West of the USA. Nevertheless, carry on.

Yes those barbed wires were awful… and we only showed two but there were so many… we were scouting to see if there was one still alive to help but none. A friend did help one a week before … it s so crazy those fences are there … thousands and thousands of km

Nick is a great hairdresser! Parting with loved ones is tough but as Nick says life goes on. Hopefully, you will meet them soon.

How did I get to watch this on Wednesday? I re watched it😅 Then it disappeared? What an amazing hike! I love your adventurous family. Your Mom rocks that toyota...that was a high top, and i suspect it felt scary at times driving it. So happy you could spend the holidays with family! I am going to try to get my cousin to do this same trip! I am in awe of this area! I am also putting Chiloe Island on the route as well. Just finished Maya's Notebook by Isabel Allende. Haircuts on the road...fun!

The jagged peaks were simply breathtaking. So happy you were able to spend some, what they call, quality time with your family. As always, thanks for sharing. Oh No. I have to run out and get more popcorn for the next episode. (I probably eat too much of it.....) BTW, Fondue is perhaps one of the most favorite ways to share a meal with friends and family.

They paid the tire but arranged with the rental company and got it refunded !

@@NextMeridianExpedition That is good. It wasn't their fault the tire came apart on the rim. Perhaps it wasn't a good brand of tire? I know all terrain tires can be expensive. Also, if one more did that, it would have ruined the entire trip, depending on where it happened. I hope the rental company apologized.

If the company has a lot of customers who go where you went, they should use bigger and better tires. It was a blowout waiting to happen, and if it happened on a dangerous road, someone might have died. There are some very crazy roads in Chile and Bolivia where the road is built into a cliff and it drops right off. They are built for one vehicle, but two can get by if they are almost touching. Sometimes one has to back up a long distance to let one pass. They call them DEATH ROADS. There was a group that biked over one of those roads and the brakes on a girl's bike failed and she went over the cliff. Ouch! I wonder if the family sued the bike rental company and got any money? It wouldn't bring their daughter back, but it might help in some way.
