The Heart is a Lonely Hunter: Demopolis, Alabama scene
Carson McCullers' first novel filmed in West Alabama in 1968 included this 2:05 minute scene shot in the square of my hometown, Demopolis, Alabama. Alan Arkin in his oscar nominated role and Sondra Locke in her debut was also nominated for best supporting actress.
