I love demopolis. I am orginafrom oregon but fell in love and moved here from Louisiana. Opened a business and stayed. The people are beautiful and I plan to stay until I die.

I love Demopolis,AL. Im from Cincinnati I went to school in Demopolis,AL. Demopolis High School from 1998-2000 I miss those days.

I hope you will do another video of Demopolis. You totally missed the beautiful bend in the river. That area of the city was the epicenter of activity during the Civil War.

My parents were from Demopolis. They're buried at Riverside Cemetery. I have the best memories of going to my grandparents every year

1986 DHS graduate, went directly to UA Tuscaloosa, never looked back. Nice small town where everyone knew your business though.

Love my little Demopolis!! The people are friendly and nice. Quite the gossipers sometimes. Hardly no traffic and you can get completely across town in 5 minutes flat:) Lovely little place to live💗 Although there unfortunately is no career opportunities unless you open your own business.

So true! even in my region of Alabama you GOTTA be self employed. its doing MUCH better than many towns in the region. All small town people can be quite the gossipers

I used to lived in Demopolis for 2 years with my grandparents then I move back to Ohio. Yes some people down there are nice, yes y'all have good food and y'all know how to cook

Yes on the gossip, I'm from Linden. I've always said the biggest industry in Linden is the rumor mill.

I lived in Demopolis for most of my childhood up until I graduated high school back in 2015.

My mom was born in Demopolis in 1926. I think she lived on Jackson Street. She married and moved to NYC in 1948.

I'm glad you got into some of the prettier and more historical parts. People will always wave at you, too. Friendly folks. It's a very old city. Read up on it, it's very interesting.

Demopolis is my hometown. I got married and moved to Michigan, and moved back for a long time, my parents was living out in Eastern Hills and beautiful houses and the community,later I moved back to California for years and I moved back to Alabama.

God bless Marengo county. I'd consider living in Demopolis if the opportunity were to arise. Nice little town with nice people.

You guys passed blocks from my home We moved in that house when I was 3 years old Just turned 52 Left Demopolis again in June I'll be coming home soon

That region of Alabama has issues.

Thanks for all your videos showing different places to maybe move to, we love rural country but yet drive 30 minutes to stores and shopping and of course warmer weather. We live in up state NY. Temp right now ft of snow and 10 degrees. Retired with about 2 tho a month income.

Why you only visit the poor side of towns? In all your videos you go straight to the poor and black side of town. You didn't see half of Demopolis. It's seen you already know just where the black side of town is for someone who never been there before. Demopolis has very mix communities that's very up scale and beautiful. They also have upper class black neighborhoods also. Not sure of your goal.

Those people are proud of whatever they have because they still have to work hard to keep the little they got. To gloat of someones else's disadvantage and misfortune is a sign you are a selfish jack A.....

I'm from Ohio. I went to school in Demopolis back in 1998-2000. I went to Demopolis High. I love you all, y'all is so nice and I love y'all country accent. I wish I never left Demopolis. It's a total different the way y'all act and the way the people in Ohio act. Y'all down south people know how to cook

The H&R Block belongs to my family. My mom bought it in 1984.

We drove thru there recently, its in our recent uploads. But we did not drive into the town just near it. The area seams neat

You are partly right because they feel that the house is bigger and then gave them more I'm about the golf club but you are basically in short leaf Rockcutt Is the main spot you always. Just been on the river right on my front door

Maybe change it up a bit. I love this channnel. I think you have million plus possibilities. Get out and talk to someone. Find out where the good and bad parts are. If it runs too long, break it into two or more. Maybe call a real estate agent before you go. They'll be sure to tell you the best parts 😊.

9:22 Super detailed article about the statue in Washington Post called "A car crash topples a Confederate statue and forces a Southern town to confront its past ". Basically the city council decided not to replace the solider statue, but have it still read "Our Confederate Dead." Lots of opposition to it being there today.

What a depressing dump!

I love Demopolis, However it is not nicer than Selma. All of selma is not rundown. Thats absolutely incorrect. I live in the affluent parts of Selma such as lansdowne with homes starting at 350k. I really feel you need to maybe go into cities a little deeper to avoid giving a half sided perception. Great video though! Also I’m from Birmingham. Recently moved back to Selma but I don’t see the Birmingham vibes in Demopolis. Selma has more of a Birmingham feel than Demopolis. Awesome videos though!

I’m from Demopolis he didn’t went all the way in Demopolis trust and believe it’s nice he just went thur Downtown and plus it gotten more better
