African countries must fight hard to help suctions against Zimbabwe to be lifted, so that the country can grow as it is rightfully supposed to. Watching from South Africa, Pretoria.
@simba8665

Thats not addressing the underlying issues though. Lack of democracy, corruption from the bottom all the way to the president, no freedoms of expression, the list goes on. Why do people try to pretend like these governments are not killing their own people and blame everything on sanctions. You lift the economic sanctions, a few people will benefit from the country's progress and majority of the country will still remain in poverty

Wow, wonderful. I'm just back in Sweden after visiting my family living just outside Harare, close to Ngomakurira mountain. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Harare. Would have been so crazy if I bumped into you in Harare. Love your videos, thanks for showing everyday life in African countries.
Josey, you are so sweet and genuine with your interactions. I wish more people were like you. All we need is to love one another.

Ahhh! You went to southern Africa! Welcome! Let the adventure begin!
When you said "other side of the world" in your last video, I guessed America, but man was I way off! Zimbabwe is definitely on my visit list, along with Uganda and Rwanda. Zimbabwe, yeah... I just bought the book, "Harvest of Fear, A story of Zimbabwe". That is my go to country I'm studying right now as of the last while... and so excited you decided to give it a visit, Miss Josey!!! "A bit cold" ... so funny hearing that, living in Alberta, Canada... watching folks there with t-shirts on, when cold here is COLD, minus 25 degrees celcius. Afro Trekker is a a very down to earth, cool gal, great choice of tour guide!

@@chihelele5242 Yes, that would be cold in a normally warm country... Five is never a fun temperature, not cold enough to freeze, but cold enough to get hypothermia, which can be deadly too. Here in Canada we tend to assume all of Africa is warm, cuz most of it is between tropic of cancer and tropic of capricorn, but yeah, I did a quick internet research on SA and man yeah, it can get real chilly! Plus I have a co worker from Algeria and he laughed and said, yup, winter can get cold there too!

@Ironfurnaceroom Yes, when people think of Africa, they think that it's hot like the Caribbean. When I was younger, we had frost every morning in winter. In high places like Nyanga, they have very little snow once in a while. In South Africa, they now have snow more often than they did 40 years ago.

Thats what majority of Harare looks like. Pot holes, no running water, no electricity, which are supposed to be basic amenities. High levels of corruption, people want you to pay extra to do the job they already being payed to do. Useless local currency etc. If u are a visitor Zimbabwe is a wonderful place to be because you got foreign currency and you get to spend it in the best parts of the country were its never crowded because majority of the locals can't afford to do those activities. And then after you leave and go back to your home country and your a good paying job.

Europeans know the city better as Salisbury, after the old British prime minister, the name Harare is derived from that of the outcast Chief Neharawe, who, with his people, occupied the Kopj. Today Harare is known for its Gold Mines and Virginia tobacco.

He didn't occupy the kopje, that was his land and his people's land. The occupiers were the europeans. The name Harare returned home, as it should after colonial rule was toppled, and the name Salisbury was returned to sender.😉
