African countries must fight hard to help suctions against Zimbabwe to be lifted, so that the country can grow as it is rightfully supposed to. Watching from South Africa, Pretoria.

Thats not addressing the underlying issues though. Lack of democracy, corruption from the bottom all the way to the president, no freedoms of expression, the list goes on. Why do people try to pretend like these governments are not killing their own people and blame everything on sanctions. You lift the economic sanctions, a few people will benefit from the country's progress and majority of the country will still remain in poverty

When you said "other side of the world" in your last video, I guessed America, but man was I way off! Zimbabwe is definitely on my visit list, along with Uganda and Rwanda. Zimbabwe, yeah... I just bought the book, "Harvest of Fear, A story of Zimbabwe". That is my go to country I'm studying right now as of the last while... and so excited you decided to give it a visit, Miss Josey!!! "A bit cold" ... so funny hearing that, living in Alberta, Canada... watching folks there with t-shirts on, when cold here is COLD, minus 25 degrees celcius. Afro Trekker is a a very down to earth, cool gal, great choice of tour guide!

@Ironfurnaceroom Yes, when people think of Africa, they think that it's hot like the Caribbean. When I was younger, we had frost every morning in winter. In high places like Nyanga, they have very little snow once in a while. In South Africa, they now have snow more often than they did 40 years ago.

Thats what majority of Harare looks like. Pot holes, no running water, no electricity, which are supposed to be basic amenities. High levels of corruption, people want you to pay extra to do the job they already being payed to do. Useless local currency etc. If u are a visitor Zimbabwe is a wonderful place to be because you got foreign currency and you get to spend it in the best parts of the country were its never crowded because majority of the locals can't afford to do those activities. And then after you leave and go back to your home country and your a good paying job.

The roads in Rhodesia are very fine. It was funny you stopped at an “old car”. It was a Hyundai, which is the Korean word for ‘modernity’. *-* Safe travelling in Zimbabwe.

@stewartabraham - (named) After Cecil Rhodes, the country was called Rhodesia. The colonial administrator/ head before independence was Ian Douglas Smith. They got independence from London in 1980. Belize was even later than this i think into the 1980s.

All the buildings you see in Harare were there in the year 2000. There hasn’t been any new infrastructure since then. Only one new building. Joina centre. It was one of the top 5 cities on the continent back then
