Season 1 was 2/10 Season 2 is 5/10 hoping season 3 can reach 7...the IGN standard

No not at all felt like they slathered butter on burnt toast it’s doesn’t matter how much you add it doesn’t change the fact it’s still burnt toast 😞

I just don't understand so many of the creative decisions. Like... it's better. But man. Could be so much more.

@@DareToEntertain I don’t understand it either because all they needed to do was follow the source material and ignore the bad stuff from season 1 but unfortunately even then they couldn’t get that right, and still screwed it up by making this worse then season 1.

I know this version of the Arbiter is Var 'Gatanai and the Arbiter in the game is Thel 'Vadam. But thematically, I don't see them quickly adding another elite giving them screen time and motive to rival chief. All within a season or two. Just do not see that. Real missed opportunity in my opinion.

Was a hell of a lot better. I had a huge section that went for 4-5min on what exactly my thoughts were but it was just too long. The first seasons score was woeful. I just think season 3 can improve on the foundations of this seasons music. That's just my two cents.

I hope they find new and exciting aspects of the franchide to pull from moving forward. There is plenty in expanded media but what's left to grab from the games is little, like you mentioned. I really do hope the show gets better, but s1 will forever be such a stain

100%. S1 is still going to be hard to shake off. The fall of reach is one of the most iconic halo books period and it did little to pull from it. I hope for the best. But we will have to wait and see.

I hope it's a more horror dedicated show set on the Halo ring. An entire season of Chief uncovering mysteries with the forerunners fighting the covenant. That can be gripping TV. I just don't believe that is what they will do.

This show is an absolute Atrocity. For a game that already has such a strong sense of Lore and story telling, To get thrown under the bus. Buy a group of directors that have quite clearly Never played/taken the time to understand the universe. Is extremely disappointing.

I just dont get it man. You already have something so great. It doesnt seem hard to do an adaptation of it. If budget is this much of an issue then don't green light the show yet. Wait. Do it in 5 years.

I’m glad someone finally said all this. I full heartily agree it didn’t need to be a one for one just decent and it could barely hit the bare minimum it’s sad 😔

Thankyou for responding it’s honestly got me down but it helps knowing there are others out there that feel the same I still love halo that’ll never change and I’ll even rewatch the show…ya know eventually and continue to hope and pray the series does well so that one day we may get a cinematic universe. May be in vain but what else is there to do but hope

How... how? How can writers mess tmup THIS bad? I genuinely want to know. Are people really put here make a real life paycheck to create this? Is this real life?

they should reduce the episodes to 6 episodes ...only that way they can handel great cgi in low budget as well as a compact story and less diversion

See now that is a great idea. Narrow the vision. If you cut the soren arc and focus on the three sides of the show. Chief / Halsey / Antagonists then that totally works for 6 eps.

Before everything The arbiter that died this episode is Var 'Gatanai not Thel 'Vadam (The one who befriends chief), Arbiter is tittle, The Arbiter that died here is the previous to Thel 'Vadam. Thel 'Vadam doesn't become the arbirter until the destruction of alpha halo/ Installation 04 Now, i'm a halo fan to death..... and i like this show, like every series it has some issues (the pacing in some episodes is questionable, kwan plots are boring) but this series has chance to grow. Of course there has been a lot of changes but, they have to be made. (If the halo show were made by halo fans, they would just make a series of 9 episodes were chief doesn't talk, doesn't have character arc and just kills elites for all the episodes, and that doesn't work for a serialized tv sho And for how you talk about the season, it doesn't sound like a horrible show. I think that mindset "I have some gripes with the show" = Bad television / horrible television is a toxic attitude, if you put this show to someone who hasn't seen anything of halo and doesn't have preconceive ideas of what halo is, they would never tell you that this is bad TV and if they tell your they don't know what is really bad television. I find the discourse of this series dishonest and toxic.

Hey one of my top comments that I wrote as I dropped this video is stating that I know this is Var 'Gatanai. And I understand that Forge in Halo wars also killed an arbiter so people have made that connection. The issue lies in that this show already takes names and concepts and puts them together to form a new thing. Thel 'Vadam was there during the original halo rings destruction. I don't see this show destroying a ring and then setting up a new arbiter and then doing that whole arc any time soon. That is like 3-4 seasons worth of story. If they actually do that then I take back all my criticisms here. And to your second paragraph. I make a huge point that I understand change and Implore them to do that. A 1 to 1 adaptation wouldn't work. However this just doesn't work for me. And your last point. I changed the title because this video along with my last just isn't getting pushed. The OG title was just calling it a mess. Because to me it's a mess. The title card in the video even calls it so. The video bombed in its first 24 hours so I changed it to get more eyes and ears. That's all. Though I HAVE to disagree to people knowing nothing about halo. I have entire friend groups and family who know nothing about Halo and all have dropped it by now. Now this is anecdotal evidence. That isn't something you can use as certified fact I know. Though it does play a huge factor in my perception.

I fully agree. The show was a mess.

If they did the show right they’d make 10x more money than they are making now. Halo fans show out for good Halo content.

Need someone who likes doing quality work producing the show. Paramount series are never really that great no matter what show we are talking about on their platform. If somehow it got into the hands of HBO my hopium would return. I definitely consider myself a purist by the standard you set in the video. No hate for liking moments in the show I just believe if we stuck solely to the original vision we’d have one of the best shows out there and a reinvigorated Halo fan base.

the people defending this show and saying the haters need to get over it is why shows suck people have such low standards anymore this show writing was so bad like they says it halo but then make there own timeline up which sucks and why does 1 show need like 10 different plots happing at the same time they could have honestly save this season by just killing off quan character but nope like idk about others but i wanted a show where master chief(in armor) and cortain are just destroying the covernt and doing missing not a drama show this show makes 1 step forward and 6 back also with the flood i thought they were cool but how it happen was plain bad writing like your telling me a military base has no lock down for it lab like everyone in the lab didn't do nothing when she goes and kills someone like no lights or guards no panic just nothing like there no way a military strong hold has no lock downs and that a biologist is stupide enough to touch something with there bair hands then lie about it also how did mackee live im still lost Like i want to love this show but i simply cant overlook all of the poor writing choices like some can
