it was solid and entertaining to me

Things went downhill when the likes of Jay Oliva, Andrea Romano, Bruce Timm, McDuffie started leaving. These guys made excellent creative choices interms of the writing, voice casting, soundtrack & even animation quality, with them gone everything is bland now.

I miss classic DC animation

I'm unironically pissed off that this movie canonizing the flashpoints connecting the Tomorrowverse to the DCAMU means there is no chance that horrible Apokolips movie will be undone and no chance I will ever see my favorite version of Superboy ever again. Hope DC goes bankrupt personally. Creatively, they already are.

Something about the newer DC animated movies that just turn me off completely and makes me not want to watch them is the visual. There is just no visual style it’s just basic and boring. A big reason why I prefer the previous DC animated movies is because they have a nice visual style to them that I gravitate towards

Like for ex supermanbatman public enemies supermanbatman apocalypse JL DOOM batman assault on arkham batman Red hood dark knight returns all directed by Andrea romano bruce timm universe is WAY MUCH BETTER no matter how many times i watch those is still good than the crap we've having no offense tomorrow verse movies r good good action but storytelling n animation not so much

I miss the era where they made original animated films that weren’t connected, I hate this era where everything must be a connected universe. Self contained stories with an inspiration from the actual artist of the comics. Batman Year, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2, Justice League The New Frontier, Batman Superman Public Enemies, Batman Under The Red Hood, All Star Superman. They even did original stories like Justice League Crisis on Two Earths, there’s no more effort put in. The animated films and shows outshine the live action stuff in my opinion, they should focus on that more than trying to copy Marvel

This is what wb animation should've incorporated previous iterations of animated versions of the justice league and dc characters. The dc characters from the dcau/jlu animated series, the young justice universe characters, teen titans go. And wb animated team didn't bother bringing them in. The dc animated movies have been piss poor ever since marvel writer's took over. None of them have been faithfull adaptations.

@@DareToEntertain which is sad because your video with these dc movies are really good and personally for me as a fan of the dc animation and there movies especially in 2022 with my favorite movie batman/superman battle of the super sons animated movie which was amazing in my opinion, I expect better from dc animation and these movies.

@@TevyaSmolka I am way too big of a DC fan to just suddenly stop making these. I plan to cover Watchmen later this year, and parts 2 and 3 of this trilogy. I eventually want to go back into DC's history and talk about mask of the phantasm and Batman vs Dracula. But I would want to wait quite a while. Till I have a much larger audience who might want to see that.

One of my biggest complaints with this movie is the decline in animation quality. While Batman the Long Halloween, Green Lantern, and Justice Society all had some great animation and dynamic storyboards, every other entry in the series (ESPECIALLY Crisis) is just so so unbelievably stiff that it genuinely hurts to watch. Also, what is unbelievably unforgivable is that this movie straight up plagiarized the hell out of an artist’s design for Black Lightning

I think since Warner bros is in debt. DCU just started. They seem to cutting costs and build a brand. I wish they went to the anime style they had. Dc in anime style is fire. I’m glad they gave rights to Japan studios.

DC twitter seems to disagree. I am not sure on the history of Black Lighting designs. After 28k likes everyone pretty much agreed yeah this is a direct steal and considering DC has done this for decades at this point. Yeah not surprising.

I’ve seen most of it. I’m decently sure they’ve like actually commented on it saying that this was the case. I didn’t say it in the video but the guy who keeps going to Barry is Constantine. At least it’s what I was assuming. It’s why I say in the video the punishment for the previous flashpoints.

Agreed, also those who say this was a bad film should probably watch the arrowverse's adaptation (or as I like to call it, "crisis of infinite cringe.") beforehand. Then we "might" consider their opinion.

I watched this and I couldn’t follow the story until the very end They wanted to make it deep and smart but it honestly just felt fragmented and unwelcoming for the newer audience

In Batman: The Brave and the Bold there was actually an episode with a still image of various Batman from previous shows teaming up off screen. It featured Batman from TAS, The Batman 2004, Batman Beyond, etc. It was so fun to just imagine what that would be like.

I know that this isn't the point, but Toby Maguire's Spiderman didn't die in Spiderman Yes Way Godawful.

Yeah that movie was all over the place I don't know why animation is so hard today like for example have you seen the Justice League Unlimited series and The Death of Superman Movie connected to the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series animation style why can't they just use that ! Man these studios are making things hard for themselves smh.

It sucked. Hige disappointment. Other movies you got hooked and was a must see. This I started scrolling through cell as it played.

I can't believe I got spoiled for the 3rd Spiderman movie in a freaking dc animated video. That argument is valid if you are talking about superheroe movies as a whole or marvel or spiderman, but this video is about DC. Even tho is less than 2 years old, a spoiler about the batman would have been valid here but a spoiler from something that's completely unrelated to what the main premise of the video is, doesn't make sense at all. If you are too lazy to add a spoiler warning so that people can enjoy movies (something that you seem to love) at their pace, maybe try adding a spoiler warning in your description. Is 20 seconds writing a spoiler warning in the description too much to ask? Really?
