Thank you for doing the GTX 1050, have one myself that I bought back in 2020 when prices were bad. Great for eSports and still capable for budget systems or office PCs if you find one for a really cheap.

sorry to be a downer and as great as that card is, I must ask why, what could you need a 3070 8GB for when a 3060ti is a better option, even if your going 4k the 3070 is a shit card that will age like milk at that resolution, assuming thats the case, then why not go AMD or at least get a 3080, its just baffling buy used cards dont support AMD or nvidia ripping consumers, i know every company does it, but the cards have been getting less performant, and even after the vram shortages have lessened , there arent any cards with more vram ?? but infact a 3060 with 8gb now ?? like fuck these companies, not to mention AMD making a budget card, which typically would be used for older OEMS, but making it so you lose 20-50% performance in said oems, both these companies are horrible

@@younglingslayer2896 3060ti will age like milk as well due the 8gb vram, i upgraded from a 3070 for that same reason, i was vram limited at 1440p ultra settings plus RT max dlss on balanced, now i have a 4090 and wont look back, no worries about power or vram at all and playing on a 4k 240hz monitor.

I had this card from 2016 to 2020. That 2gb of vram really became a big limitation in like 2018-2019. Can't imagine what it'd be like using that today.

sadly 3gb vram has met the same fate, quite quickly i might add, i remeber 1gb cards still being useable in 2017 then game after game chugging vram just buried any cards with less than 4gb sadly

@@flintfrommother3gaming sub 1080p isnt acceptable for FPS games personally at least, it may work for halo MCC, splitgate and a few other lighter games but anything new its getting rough but yes your spot on infact with that drop in res you can bump up the settings typically

My first GPU i bought was a gtx1050 back in late 2017. Was and still is a pretty good card. Played mostly BF1 then. At that time it would play anything at 1080p atleast at low settings. i put it in a cheap old dell optiplex and i had myself a shockingly capable dirt cheap gaming pc. Unfortunately the 1050 died on me for some unknown reason, then I went on the AMD train with an rx580 8gb. A really incredible card for the money, (only payed $155 for it in 2019) and it would play anything 1080p ultra. Still a great card today i might add.. Only just now built a new system with a 6700xt in it because the optiplex was nearly 12 years old, but have fond memories of the first time I was able to game with the gtx 1050..

@@zohaibhasanawan 1050 worked on a stock PSU. Anything more than a 1050 ti would've needed a better psu

The way it can still run Apex really well even in the lowest setting is pretty impressive

It’s sad that within a few years cards like the 1050, 750ti, and cards of the such will be the new gt1030’s of the gpu world. By 2025-2026. These cards won’t be able to keep up unless developers optimize the newer games greatly.

Hey Kryzzp, you can apply the setting in-game for vram limit in Red Dead Redemption 2. Just set the settings you want then go to Brightness Calibration. The game automatically apply the new settings. Works for me. Except for the textures. It requires to restart the game.

I think prices of GTX 1050ti 4gb are most ridiculus in Sweden where I live , can cost 1000-1500kr =100-150$ , at the same time GTX 1060 6gb you can buy for 100-170$ , and GTX1070 130$+ , there are plenty delusional people in Sweden when it comes to woth of GPU , last year I manage to sell my 9 years old HD7770 for 120$ , and today i looked on blocket and i saw that kind of GPU for 100$ ... if someone had no idea about GPUs , can get F in the A really quick.

Yup that right, issue in Sweden are CPU/mobo those are super expensive , used i5 2500k can cost 80$ and mobo same = platform with this cpu + mobo +ram16gb ddr3 80+80+50=210$ , and cheapest new platform with i3 12100F 4 c 8t 130$ + mobo 101$ + 16gb ram dd4 65$ = 296$ ... psu used cost as much as new ones , ssd same , chasie same , Is better just buy new platform with i3 + used gpu ... but that open way for new upgrates better cpu in future .

I sold my 1060 6gb for gas money a few months ago. After a few months past I did my research and realized I could get a txt 560 ti dell oem model for $17 on eBay. Surprisingly powerful card for the games I play (halo 1 - 4, split gate,csgo and the metro series) that power hungry card paired with an i5 4660 and 16gb ddr3 at 1600mhz gets you an easy 100+ on previous generation games for under $200 build, highly recommended

I've been waiting for this one because this gpu will come to my country in like 3 days (i actually found it for $67 used on ebay with free shipping) and no one does benchmarks better than you. keep it up man 🔥💪

@@PumpyGT yea i searched like 2 months daily to get one that actually shipped to my country at a reasonable price and its definitely not a scam because the card is the gigabyte single fan variant and it looks just like the ones from the official site. There are a lot of gpu scamms for gtx 1050 ti variant but not many people buy those now because almost everyone knows there're a scam

So I have a GTX 950. I don't use it as my main GPU anymore, but in RDR2, to be able to change settings, you put your res to the lowest possible with fsr turned on to the lowest possible again(performance), and then you have a lot memory to work with. You can now put the settings you want (don't mess with res and texture quality) and after you're done, save the settings you want, then go in the config file and you can change the res, texture quality and FSR (1 is for quality, 2 for balance, 3 for performance and 0 for native) to which level you want. From my testing, the game can report about ~2,5GB used and will still run fine. Medium textures are perfect, if you set it on High textures wont load correctly in camp and Saint Denis and ultra, sometimes even the ground disappears. Oh and also, use nvidia reflex mode on with boost enabled, and 30 fps feels perfect.

Kryzzp i finally bought a rx 580 8gb for 100$ :D it was going for around 150$ in my country but i finally got it for cheap and loving it :)

I still remember the time using the 1050 on my first PC i built myself ( 2016 ), the feeling of repressed so many favorite games previous, even when the games I could only play at low settings I still played and extremely enjoyable. But the feeling is much different now at 2022, even though i'm using a much more powerful RTX 2080 than the old 1050, but the feeling of customizing the graphics settings so that the FPS is enough to play will never be available again, resulting in you will not have any interest in any games more, or is my youth gone?

I still use this card, and i really love it.

Its really good entry level gpu 720-1080p(1080 in old games and some new games) tbh If u dont care about graphics much And just want a playable experience in mid-new tiles If u find some under 70$

That makes me realise my issue truly is lack of RAM

Im running a 1050 currently, bought it when it came out and has been a true workhorse for the past couple years. Pretty sad that a couple of games I play don’t support 1050 anymore, I have to upgrade. Kinda sad sending this little guy who has shared so many good memories with me into the afterlife.

I still have a 1050 2g card. I use it to test a new pc build to make sure the motherboard, cpu, ram, etc works fine before I put it in a case.

I remember when PUBG used to literally tear 1050s apart back when it came out. Happy to see it finally runs well on 1050s, even on 1080p Very Low

I think the GTX1050 is still viable for budget gaming but if you can get the 4Gb variant or the Ti version. Mine is a laptop based card and it can still play 900p but you will need to adjust the graphic settings to get it to balance between playable and having reasonable graphics quality. Eventually I will need to upgrade...

Been using the GTX 1050 for around 4 to 5 years and it can still run games well, but not as good 4 years ago. 1080p 60fps is very hard on games right now especially like call of duty or apex(shooter that needs fps ,stability, and image clarity). Can’t wait to upgrade to RTX 4080. For someone who is looking for a GTX 1050, to be honest I wouldn’t recommend it anymore because games prior to this generation need more than 2gb of vram. Plus the GTX 1650 is pretty cheap right now, a friend of mine got it for around $120. But if you’re low on buck or play non heavy gpu resource game, go ahead. But maybe stick with amd rx series or gtx 16 series card so you can use it long terms

Recently snatched one for 80$, to replace my Vega 11. I am pretty happy with it, it is definitely a Improvement.

I still have my GTX 1050 ti and used for 3 years. Now I upgraded to an RTX 2060 Super and the difference in performance is 100 FPS in most games.

17:38 the reason Bob isn't there is because you killed him long ago in previous videos, and then accidentally saved the game. The only way to force Bob to reappear, is by Restarting New Game

i remember using this card during the mining boom since my 980 broke down, i recently bought a 6700xt but this card really kept me during the rtx 3000 mining/dark era

These are the BOMB for Minecraft. If you have a child that plays Roblox, Minecraft and even a little Fortnite, this card will not let you down. Sadly, I got one for my daughter's computer and one of the caps fell off in shipping. So now I have a $149 paperweight (It is SFF LP, that why the price is so high).

Now cards are too powerful but games are still beautiful and optimized (not including plague regium)

considering that you can often get one on second hand for less than 40 bucks, this performance is pretty damn acceptable

In 2019 i think it was i got a GTX1050 GDDR5 for about 75 USD i wanted a relatively cheap option at the time to upgrade to so i could have a nice or playable experience with DX11/12 games and I have been very happy with it i have definitely gotten my time out of it!, i think it was a good buy for me! But i definitely agree that i have even noticed it is showing it age with the 2GB version that being said it's a great card for a game like Rocket League Multiverse or too rexperience some late 2000s early 2010 games but I guess the second shouldn't be a surprise really because of when it came out

If you want to make your games a bit less pixel looking Go in nvidia control panel and go in manage 3d settings and put sharpening to 1.00 complete :0

Personal i had thake the nvidia 1050ti or the 1050 3Gb . The 2 Gb can just run 1080p Its about the same speed as the 750ti what only is stuck with DirectX 11 hardware . Still use the 750ti today in the Intel systeem with a i7 2600. For the main pc i upgrade the 1050ti ( i have sell it in the high price ) and i use on that pc a amd vega 56 . The monitor is 1080p 144hz so really all games just run fine today . And no i do not use ultra modem in games. Realtime raytracing is a gimmick. And yes i have see that with my rtx2060 90watt in my laptop with a 1080p 144hz screen. And i'm not impressed by it .
