This song is a critique of the modern society and contemporary world. He makes connection with a video games where young people (and everyone else) are, artistically speaking, controlled by someone else and are just observers of all the horror happening around the Globe. He uses himself as a metaphor - (he only wants to sleep), as it is the easiest thing to do - to oversleep all the tragedies and to wake up in a better world. If you carefully look the performance - you will see that they are dancing as zombies as they are under anesthesia not reacting on this "world on fire" as he notices. However, the message of the song is quite opposite - we should all wake up, we should react, we should have more conscience and sapience that he calls on, especially to decision makers. At the end of the song he "releases" those "controlled" masses in order to become more active, more energetic and they together react - walk, make changes together. The "hello" part was written inspired by the Sims game, where the characters wave the player when they want something, instead of taking action, so he uses a parallel with people today.

He's saying that we're all in a simulation. That "hello" is from the game Sims. He's saying that we're all sleeping while the world around us burns.

Actually, the message is pretty strong: people are sleeping, especially young people, in their shells (or leaves), they're like zombies (choreography), and the world is burning in the flames of war, hunger, lack of common sense... It's a sort of escape, or passivity of the people while the world falls apart...

The song sends a strong message. Like Konstrakt, last year. First of all, the lotus flower, the lobster he is holding are symbols. Read the meaning. Then, in the background, a video game is used to symbolize evil AND how to fight AND destroy it. How he sings and pronounces the words of the song changes everything. Hello is from the game, where the characters raise their hand when they want something and say hello..I want something! Robots on stage attached and acting like zombies. Text.. Honey, I just want to sleep, not to look and choose sides, while the world is burning, I just want to sleep. We're sleeping aren't we? He doesn't react because it's easier that way, and in a dream he thinks he's driving away the demons around him and everything bad. When they say game over.. Awakening, the robots come to life, they dance together, conscious, and the character from the video game is on fire, which means we have woken up. The message is: let's react to the bad things around us, let's live in a better world, let's not close our eyes to the harsh reality, because that's easy, but defeating the bad things in us and around us is difficult. Impossible, if our consciousness is not awakened.. Many symbols on the stage, his movements are symbolic, the text is powerful because it sends a strong message.. Very powerful in a few minutes.. Isn't it?

Excellent analysis! Very dreamy atmosphere of video games and technology contrasted with his romantic yearnings for freedom reflected in his outfit. I originally wanted it to be more elevated with like a magic wand to cast a spell over us, vampire like makeup, more latex and maybe even a crown, but now I'm sort of glad he didn't go with the more gothic vibe I had in mind. It would have been too much. This is far more unique and interesting, honestly. Now I wish for his outfit to stay the same, maybe add a long jacket over and ruffles, some minimal gothic makeup. People are sleeping while there is chaos in the world... especially young people. Playing games, being blind, and living in my comfort zone. We all should wake up and try to do something finally. to disconnect from the unrealistic artificial sphere. Luke is a graduated professor of English literature btw :) There is a great influence of existentialism poetry.
