The Greek Tycoon (final scene) / Der Große Grieche (Schlussszene)
The moving final scene of an otherwise mediocre film: The terminally ill Tomasis (Onassis), who had it all and in the end lost it all, says goodbye in a way that probably only Greeks could empathize will. It was very sentimental and worth seeing :)
Die bewegende Schlussszene, eines insgesamt aber mittelmäßigen Films: Der todkranke Tomasis (Onassis), der alles besaß und am Ende alles verloren hat, verabschiedet sich auf eine Art, die wahrscheinlich nur Griechen nachempfinden können. Sehr sentimental und sehenswert :)

Ο ετοιμοθάνατος Τομάσης (Ωνάσης), ο οποίος τα είχε όλα και στο τέλος τα έχασε όλα, αποχαιρετά τον κόσμο με έναν τρόπο, τον οποίο πιθανώς μόνο οι Έλληνες μπορούν να συναισθανθούν. Πολύ συναισθηματική, αξίζει να τη δει κανείς :)

ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS WHO EVER LIVED WAS MY FAV ANTHONY QUINN. THIS SCENE I CAN WATCH A THOUSAND TIMES AND NEVER GET TIRED OF IT.
It really touch my heart , great movie , great actor and great Greek memories.

everything ends where it began! Great Actor, but also Great history! Onassis Ari Onassis always remained connected to his homeland and that's what we like about him, a man of International Finance, he deeply loved his origins and his homeland!
2:50 to the end....one of the best scene ever....and the music....

It's a movie that has always moved me... for love of "success" stories, for love of Anthony Quinn and for the music in the movie!! I've always come back to watch and re-watch this movie along the years, since the first time I watched it around 1990. Although I always liked kind of sad music, this one always kills me in the heart!!
