I feel like the Bayonetta kerfuffle is a reminder that we probably should err on the side of caution and patience before we hear from both sides or at least more investigation. It's a balancing act and I think it's totally reasonable to instinctively side against the one with more power, that being the Devs/Publishers. But, yeah, this isn't the first time where things are more complicated and a cautionary tale before people call out individuals/people without waiting for more info or hearing from the other side.

I feel like this is a solid thing in life in general. Looking below the surface is key to understanding any situation, and it blows my mind how society in general is used to completely undervalue the importance of doing that. Thanks for the share Sam! Interesting as always.

The Bayonetta series to date has sold less than 3.5 million units, at a maximum $60 each unit (highball estimate) there's no way that the games even grossed half the $450 million that Taylor claimed, and those numbers further plummet after deducting the costs to develop and market the games.

Bayonetta doesn’t wear clothes other than her gun shoes. Her entire raiment is made up of her raven tresses.

As I have been saying since I learned of Taylor's videos "what if Hale revealed her paycheck and it was the same or higher than Taylor's?" Because let's be real here, if Platinum games wanted to save a buck, they wouldn't have hired someone of higher caliber and part of the same union as Taylor!

Bloomberg did a whole story on it. Turns out Hellena was allegedly asking for a 6 figure pay for the role when she was being offered $4k PER 4 hour session, so somewhere around $20k for the role. This is 4 times the industry standard. The industry standard is still shitty, but she wasn't getting screwed over for this role. She's playing the diva.
