Throughout football history, there have been some absolutely amazing playmakers. Guys who had eyes in the back of their head and vision that makes you wonder just what goes on in their minds - the level of football intelligence, technical skill, and vision is just mindblowing.
But at a young age, there has always been one player that was just better at it than everyone else, and for quite some time, there was a clear difference. But slowly, after a while... he started to fall off. Mesut Ozil was on track to be the best assister we’ve ever seen, so what happened? What went wrong in his career? Let's take a deeper look.

@@RaymarFootball It wasn't about backing at all. after the erdogan photo he still played (we backed him), after he exposed the German fa as racist he still played(we backed him) , even after criticizing china he still played (we backed him ) 3 different managers identified his lack of commitment at arsenal . Emery , arteta and ljunberg all dropped him despite his quality . Wenger was well aware and gave him special treatment (extra days off ect) something that will only ever upset a TEAM dynamic . Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard . He's been kicked out of the fenerbache team aswell , I doubt a Turkish team binned him for his political views and his support of Turkish politicians . It's his lack of commitment off the pitch . Do you think he isn't still capable of starting for fenerbache ? Everyone knows his quality and capabilities but no one will stomach someone not being committed, I would rather have a player that is technically poor but will give me 110 percent everyday and would die for the team than someone world-class for the 2 days a month they can be bothered to try .

@@RaymarFootball Was because of his work rate and discipline lol
@londonmmc

@dutchRKelly there were a lot of players in those Arsenal teams who didn't give 110% aside from Ozil. He was being asked to play a role he didn't suit. There are countless world class players that aren't expected to track back and receive no backlash for it because of how they play, find space, and what they can do in the opponents half. The board never surrounded him with players good enough. Maybe 1 or 2 at different times with the likes of Santi and Sanchez but it was never consistent and 1 or 2 isn't enough. Regardless of his alleged lack of discipline, you have to learn how to deal with that and cater to the biggest talent in your team. Or else it will end with mediocrity as ever Arsenal fan repeatedly witnessed. This luxury is afforded to the world's creative types and star players but for some reason never was for Ozil
Ronaldo even said that one of Real Madrids biggest mistakes was to let Mesut Özil go to Arsenal. He had such a huge Impact on Ronaldos effectiveness. Prime Özil was Brilliant.

KDB isn't a classic 10 bro. Only classic 10 that still plays in his preferred position is David Silva for Real Sociedad. Most pure 10 has been phased out or they're playing out wide

@@jonathana6943 KDB definitely is a No.10 but not a classic like the guys i have mentioned. With the ball he is a classic No.10 but what makes him that good is he can play against the ball as well what turns him into a "not classic No.10" lol if that makes sense. Also yeah, david silva is a world classic No.10 but as i said, no room in big clubs. Real sociedad is dogshit compared to the big clubs lol. Coutinho and other guys as well play in their preferred role but all play for dogshit or midclass teams.

The age of that luxury specialist player maker has sadly ended 😢
Legend has it that Ozils career was purposely sabotaged because they wanted Lionel Messi to be the Greatest assister of all time, I thought it was bullshit until I saw Pep sub Haaland before he broke Messi's 5 goal record, but it can be a coincidence.

Who wanted?😂 Wtf are you talking about?
The man played for Real Madrid and Arsenal. Among many of his trophies, he has 1 La Liga title, 4 FA Cups and 1 World Cup. Doesn't seem a failed career compared with most players.
Great player and great person always did what he thought was right and always tries to help people
