XH558 at Beachy Head is my favourite display of all time. I wish i was there to experience it. The Vulcan has a special place in my heart as my father used to maintain this aircraft at RAF Waddington, I remember being in awe at this thing when I used to go to Waddington as a child and seeing them up close.

Great video bob; what rig did you use to get such relatively stable zoom shots? That is a real skill! The most impressive clips were the mirage 2000 jets taking off within a mirage from a super zoom lens and hot day. They literally earned their name! And their overall maneuvers were second only in my eye to the USAF Thunderbirds. Though everyone marvels at the precisionn wing to wing blue angels, The aggressive "angry" swoops of those fighting falcons screaming through the sky with cris-crossing paths at speed was a unique inspiring spectacle. i also observed that youy did a great deal of planning to position yourself strategically for up close and personal close take off shots.Bravo. I'm sure your recordings registered the roar of the engines at their proper decibels which to me is critical in the awesome rendering of these impressive beasts of prey.

USAF Thunderbirds! What what?!! That is the way a fighter jet should look. It's like the Ford Mustang, brings the kid nature out of you! These are my opinions and I am very happy that everyone likes different things. It makes life FUN!

Having just watched an F-35 do low fly overs, the sound of that aircraft was deafening. So an aircraft doing such low passes might damage your hearing.

High Flight BY JOHN GILLESPIE MAGEE JR. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,-and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of-wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air .... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark nor ever eagle flew- And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Full on, not so. Best air shows were way before the internet. Old enough to know. Better maneuverability, louder sound, broke the sound barrier, more planes , flew lower -- what ever you think 0f , is a good air show. But on the net, find Ernst Udet, WW1 Ace giving an air show in Chicago. My favorite and for many others was Bob Hoover. He gave the best air show I ever saw. He was The Air show legend. Most impressive, was a flyby of many B52's all at once for President Kennedy, at low altitude over Vandenberg AFB, about 1963. Most daring, the Italian Air Force team, 1988, in Ramstein , Germany before a crowd of about 300,00 they killed 67 people and injured hundreds, too daring, too close.

Unfortunately the authorities won't let you camp out at the end of the runways at many of the airstrips in the US anymore. Shame, because I grew up near a military base and used to lay on the hood of my car at the end of the airstrip as C-5's and C-130's flew directly over. A rush I will never experience in this country anymore.
