Remember Bob Beamon 8,90 m or Lee Evan 43.86 and even Smith's 19.83 , all unthinkable for the time and long standing records . In all fairness 19.72 shouldn't count . Great video! If it's not too much to ask, could you put a small watermark of the event detailing where and when the race was? ie. 2015 Diamond League Barcelona 100m Final or something like that so the race can be traced back to the event.

    yeah he's a one-trick pony like many sprinters. He has the best first 50 or so metres of any current sprinter i'd say, but then trails in the last 50 and gets caught by the taller, longer strides of other competitors

    All impressive runs, but keep in mind that nearly all of these (all of the 100m and all but two of the 200m) are comebacks where the person winning is nearest to the camera, and due to the parallax from that angle, always makes it appear that lanes closer to the camera are doing worse at the start and better near the end. So really, most of these runs partly only seem so otherworldly impressive because of those angles. Fanbulleh on the other hand is actually just some sort of weird monster.

    That's why he does the rectangle, to give us a better perspective of the distance.

  • @_NPJ

    @_NPJ

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@sharifbrown3567 I think that rectangle is backwards though. It should be the other way. The rectangle on the video makes it look like the person further from the camera (inside lane) is further ahead than what they actually are. This is already deceptively accentuated by the camera angle, and the rectangle on the video should counteract that but it’s the wrong way round.

  • @sharifbrown3567

    @sharifbrown3567

    @@_NPJ how can a rectangle be backwards? I'm genuinely confused by that.

  • @_NPJ

    @_NPJ

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@sharifbrown3567 it’s going at the wrong angle. Hard to explain. It’s making the lead seem bigger than what it is. The one @1:37 from bromell to bolt, which is used in the thumbnail, is angling as though if bromell was in bolts line he’d be even further ahead than he is. That rectangle should be going further back, not further forward.
