I've competed in a few locals and some online tournaments in Tekken and while people are generally supportive - you'll get the few that say some egregiously horrible things to you. One dude in the States, can't remember who but he got arrested for getting rejected by one of the girls that were competing - he threatened to rape her and shoot up the event that she attended. Was dumb enough to post his unhinged rant on YT before it got taken down lol

People were doing statistics on tapping abilities and then rolling came. Absolutely transformed the game, but despite new generation coming in, I feel like tetris is one the few communities where OGs are still given a lot of respect because it's understood it was a different time, different place and different skills/knowledge

I noticed that Alex was doing the same thing Cheez does when it comes to the killscreen. Instead of having the traditional right well, they opted to just go with whichever column happened to have the empty well at the time. Not sure why but it seems like the optimal way to play at 29 speeds. Probably because instead of sticking to a structured playstyle - the 29 speed is probably too fast to stick to a structure so it's better to just take what the game gives you and what the board ends up with. It's a more reactionary playstyle - which again considering the speed, it's probably better to just "react" instead of trying to "think" about what's happening which can slow you down. I could be wrong though but I've seen Tetrises hit more consistently when done this way.

you are, in my opinion, insanely interested in the topic of tetris, making it all the more entertaining to watch. I admire your passion, thank you for displaying such efforts towards expressing yourself so much that it doesn't matter that it's the nerdy topic of tetris, anybody could be inspired from your passion towards the game if they've ever played a game like it in their childhood.
