Ah, Plastic Man, the most terrifying hero in DC comics. Completely indestructible, able to subconsciously control every atom of his body, impossible to predict, impossible to contain, able to get into anywhere, or in some cases, anyone, that he wants. Killed the Flash from the inside out, nearly killed Wonder Woman and Superman, defeated an intergalactic entity that could counter any opponent simply by being to dumb to have a counter. All held back only because he prefers being funny over being feared.

Batman himself admitted that he really didn't have a contingency plan to stop plas if he went rogue, the only thing he could come up with is freezing and even then it was only a temporary containment since if he ever melted out he would be unstoppable, pretty much by his own words he says the only reason plastic Man isn't an all-powerful super villain is just his overall personality and more concern with comedic relief than anything.

@llmkursk8254 while I dont have much experience as a 3d animator I would think animating a character like plastic man is actually easier than animating something that has to remain rigid and unchanging through a movement like running. This might be why during the early days of animation rubberhose type characters were much more common. Even Disney required 3 years or so of training to realistically portray a human (just compare the animation "the goddess of spring" to snow white).

A comic of Plastic Man that quickly became one of my favorites after hearing about it on some other videos about him was when he was tracking a gang and they found out about it and had a meeting to figure out something to do. But the thing is that everything in the meeting room was red and yellow (Including several gang members clothes) so they got extremely paranoid and thought that Plastic Man was in the room. Then they turned on each other and made so much noise trying to break everything that the police were called and they were all caught. The twist at the end is that Plastic Man's alarm didn't go off so he slept in and missed his stakeout that day so they ruined themselves over nothing

"Mortal" is a strong word in this context. Plastic Man doesn't age, has been noted to have an *extremely* long theoretical life (there was a point where he got sent back in time and made it back to the present by the power of "just waiting until time passed enough"), can't be injured, and is also immune to mental attacks. Batman's theorized that he might be able to survive a black hole, because speaking purely theoretically, nothing one does should be able to kill him. You might be able to kill him by, I dunno, ripping his soul out of his body? But at that point you start running into questions about the definition of mortality in a world with tangible souls.

Dana Snyder is a wonderful actor, and I love him to death in everything, but Tom Kenny is the best Plastic Man voice in anything Plas has been in. Part of it may simply come down to the way JLA writes Plas, but Tom Kenny feels more able to balance the comedy with the seriousness when needed, whereas Dana Snyder seems to be on the goofy side way too much way too often. (His actor in the Injustice animated movie, Oliver Hudson, has the balance in the right place, but I feel he just doesn't quite have the same charm that Kenny's performance has, but he's actually pretty close)

It's both funny to watch (mainly because of the comedic presentation of his greed), and also a really engaging flaw to overcome. The only thing I don't particularly like about him is his costume, because it kind of reminds me of an old timey bathingsuit for some reason. @@AndresHernandez-yk5im they only treat them that way cause they haven't seen their true potential. Plastic man acted immature and didn't seem to take things seriously, but he has saved multiple members of the justice league many times. And booster gold?... He's admittedly a moron and pretty lazy. But when batman saw what he does to time anomalies and how good he is at that, he admits that booster is a better man than he's given credit for

Well as Batman once put, he usually spends time being comic relief, given he has total control over his body and can virtually be anything he wants. So it made sense they treated him like so, they know his potential and power and yet most of the time he’s off doing nonsense. Though I feel Bats gives him more credit than others given their history (depending on the universe).

My favourite Plas moment in the comics was during the Dark Knights Metal finale when he turned into everything. Shark with a bulldozing chainsaw that chews things, it was crazy. Also apparently he had connections to the 10th metal. Also, his clothes aren't clothes. It's also him, that's why it stretches with him.

Pre-2019 Dr. Manhattan or molecule man level of power. (Aka meta-divine right)

I love Plastic Man because he's the peak of the genre of hero that is absurdly powerful, but has approximately 3 and a half brain cells to work with. If he was a little more creative, homeboy would be an absolute *terror* of a crime fighter, but he has a good heart and moral compass when he needs it.
