I wonder how Pauline Viardot would have sung this aria!( J'ai perdu mon Euridice) This is the most legato, largement chanté, that I ever heard this aria! LOVE IT!

Honestly, it would have been awful. Now Russell Oberlin would have been perfect.

@@Tkimba2 Thank you for demonstrating your continual lack of knowledge and maturity and hypocrisy for the world to see. Objectively, Russell Oberlin could actually sing healthily and would have made a fine Orpheus. I also would recommend Tito Schipa and Ivan Kozlovsky, btw, though they are tenors. Of course, you are free to continue to disagree to your heart's content - it doesn't remove that fact. God bless!

Inreresting also, in the Dalila ,,Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix'', how the ,,a'' vowel is sung extremely bright and forward! Almost too forward.... Better that then hollow !

The voice must have "squillo' and apply to Voix Mixte as demonstrated here. It is the "Chiaroscuro" that is non-existent since the Golden Era.
