Please like and Subscribe. Enjoy this remade video. A great reference tool for vocal anatomy and the concepts of placement and resonance.

So the tongue rises and is compacted so there is space at the back. Does this create a lump or is the tongue risen is such way that the edges are up and the middle down, opposite of lump, like a half moon?

General, how do you think, do cavities below vocal folds (trachea, bronchi, ...) influence on sound, producing by vocal folds and upper vocal tract?

Sorry. I do always get notifications of comments. I do not think they add much or of much value. The area around the larynx where the initial vibration occurs and the first formant after that are the most important. Bronchi are not really cavities in the way Stanley express them. Sound vibrates in a column of air. Put your hand over your mouth when you make a sound. It will stop. I couldn't omit part of the whole information. The Pharynx is the true resonator because its conditions compliment the amplification of the vibratory action. I think ,the better vocal function you get. Getting it more efficient and freer from constriction and inhibition. The better the resonance will be. We should play the mechanism, and not the resonance. Both, at times go hand in hand. It is tricky. Let vowel enunciation (with intent and love, think you are Caruso.Lol) and continuous free vibration be a guide. One problem we have today. Many people do not identify constrictive acts. They consider the sounds made to be normal. Which is a bad direction for this art form. Feel free to email me with any question you have.

Thank you for this very informative video as usual. But doesn't Vennard prone the use of a more nasal kind of singing? The velum in his taught technique is I guess that it ought to be open so that air goes through the nose/mask, right? Hence the sounds Horne makes whilst singing, or am I missing something?

Also I suppose Ms. Oropesa really wanted your video gone, didn't she?

Everyone has there own positions on things. You take what people say and keep the better information and be more cautious about some other things they say. He says many good things. Some things I totally disagree. Especially, his view of the tongue. He says it should be flat and diveted. I do not think Ms. Oropesa has anything to do with it. Even if she did. It is her right. I am not doing any of these things to hate on people or the industry. She obviously has certain qualities and attributes that got her to her position. She is Beautiful, very intelligent, and persevering. Very musical. I try to focus on education. Showing people the difference. What things to aim for and things to dismiss, or be cautious about. The most important thing in singing is going for the right sounds. If you k now what they are.

@@juanpablojuarez1200 The Tongue is a large flexible organ. It should never be fixated. It should be allowed to move and shape as needed. Never fixate the tongue to the bottom of the teeth or flatten it. A flat tongue means the tongue goes into the throat and there is possible depression on the mechanism. A retracted tongue bunches up and comes out of the throat and even opens the throat more. The tongue should be supple and free. Never stiff never grooved. The tongue can rise and can fill the mouth for the EE and Eh vowels as required for the formation of these vowels. You can practice by opening your mouth wide(vertically) Show your top teeth and say EE and EH. It will force your tongue to move to create the vowel sound. DO not compromise on the enunciation in this process. And do not move the jaw. I hope this helps!

Well. Since 2020 some people may actually "sing into the mask", who knows.
