I watch this movie once every 6 months or so. Always feels like the first time. Never lose faith, dreams do come true.

There is this girl. She is the pretties girl in her city. I’ve only met her twice but when we meet, its like we are absolute equals. I would walk the deserts of the earth to make her proud, sail the 7 seas just to make her recognize the man I am.

Tom was fing George’s wife and then used George to kill the man that was fing his own wife, but somehow women are always the ones to blame.

This is probably the best music video I've found of these two with this song. It's hauntingly beautiful. My only very miniscule complaint is that in the verse "Dear lord when I get to heaven", it's accidentally "dr." in the captions. Other than that it's amazing🖤

thank you so much! about that thing with "dr." - I hate it so much! I don't even know why I did such a thing to this word, I wanted to change that so much, but it is too late now! Nevertheless, it taught me to carefully look at all the texts in my videos and not make such stupid mistakes that hurt my eyes so much ahahah

I was Daisy. Gatsby and I separated a while ago. The whole time he hoped I’d reach out, even while I was in a relationship. I had been dating another person and on my birthday after not speaking to him for a long time, my ‘Gatsby’ sent me a message. Of course I cried and got drunk just like Daisy did the night before her wedding. But I didn’t tell Gatsby how I felt because I was in a committed relationship already. A family member set it up so I’d see Gatsby while I was with someone else, who was my ‘Tom’. Of course, nothing happened because I was still with someone else. But I left Tom after I realized I was still in love with Gatsby. Tom was also physically abusive at times and was using me, which is what forced me to think about old feelings and leave him. But now my Gatsby has turned into another Tom. It’s like once Gatsby had me, he no longer felt the thrill of the chase and was disappointed. A very different ending from the original Great Gatsby story, but just as sad.

favorite movie

In my opinion, I hate the fact that Daisy stayed with his unfaithful husband (well, she's unfaithful too). Made a promise to Jay but can't stand firm by her decision. Only there when everything is on her convenience, and would turn back to everything blindly when everything is in chaos. So, it looks like she only side for things that only favor to her and don't know how to own up responsibilities.

Gatsby is a bad guy. He just wants to rob the woman he love, but don't care her thoughts and feelings, push her to say bad words to her real husband, and stole her body before marriage. This is not love. He lied at the beginning and after. And he wants steal everything from her, the beauty, status, good background, glory, etc. Surely, needless to say, he will inflict violence to daisy. Thanks God daisy can protect herself.
