I'm not Australian but I lived in Canberra (capitol of Australia for those who don't know) for about 7 years when I was younger. Anyone who doubts you has never met an Australian clearly 🤣 the way they talk can come off as aggressive but I can surely say, that isn't the case at all. Beautiful people and beautiful culture truly

I was honestly pleasantly surprised at The Professor's correct pronunciation of the word "Emu" but based on his passive-aggressive comment towards Ryan's pronunciation, I understand the importance 😂

@@karaa6357 he didn't eat it, it was just in the freezer because it died in the winter and the ground was frozen solid so they had to wait to bury it. He is from the midwest where it's common to keep dead bodies cold until the ground is thawed out enough to bury them so it tracks. But Ryan wont let it go, lol.

Having a puppet history marathon..... i havent seen Shane's face in months 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

After the season 4 finale, I thought it would be fun to go back through the other videos and find out the real scores in each to see if Ryan actually won any. This will be focused on the points won during the questions/challenges only, not the extra points the professor gives out willy-nilly. Actual Score: Ryan had 7 points and Kate had 6. Ryan won this time. Maybe his better attitude will mean more wins for him this season.

I agree, although I think that he's possessed by the genie because there are moments when he seems to be fighting himself. Like when he is about to shoot the gun, it seems like he's physically struggling between shooting the professor and not

kate deserves an extra jelly bean for actually realizing one country's economy keeling over and sinking into the swamp is always going to drag every other country down with it

34:27 so if you go slowly in this glitch, we get a pixelated picture of Asmodeus, which is such a cool look-ahead towards the end of the season. Between that and the corkboard behind the professor, the attention to detail in this show is really awesome!

I appreciate that Shane got just how terrifying Emu's are while also showing how they are complete idiots. Makes an Aussie proud

I super enjoy theorising about lore, so just looking over the three latest episodes (Emu, Mansa, and Pox), here's what I've found. Here's a transcription of the notes on the Professor's pinboard from this episode: "THIS SEMESTER: - EMUS - MANSA - POX! - JOSE (not sure what this one could be about) - OLGA (maybe Olga of Kiev) - LOUNDIN (maybe Fredrick Loudin?) . - NO LORE! . - RENO! (maybe a photo of the Professor with Joyce) . - BEEF BOY! . TO DO: - TINKER WITH ALOGORITHM - RESTOCK MAGIC JELLIES? (not sure what words in brackets say) - CATCH SPIDERS . - RESEARCH PRECEPTION SPELLS (???) MAGIC JELLIES" . Also we've had mutiple instances during video calls to historical guests where the screen will glitch and the image of three faces will flash on screen. Not sure who they could be at this point. Also during one of these flashes, we saw a puppet screaming in hell. We know this is hell because it was the same backdrop that we see the Devil in front of in the Pox episode. I also think this puppet was the horse, which I'm pretty sure was our first canonical character death, but I could be misremembering. Also, when we first saw the Devil, he was ushering someone out of view. They were glowing purple, so at the moment I'm guessing it was likely the Genie, but I can't be certain. . Hope this was helpful!

(ca 13:11) unironically was my favourite quote in this episode just because of how hard it made me laugh. It would be something I would say as well in a moment of frustration so I feel the Professor on that one.

The Professor: Explains why the emus were a problem and why people wanted them gone. Ryan: “So why couldn’t they just leave the emus alone?” The Professor: Well idk.

I hope the "no genie and lore talk" is sarcasm, I actually love the funny side plot the professor had going, i can see why people wouldn't like it but its not like it eats up a whole episode. I just think it was fun to get immersed in, like trying to find out the professor's name.

I'm like 90% sure either no one complained or a very small minority did. I think it's far more likely that they're very overtly setting up a plot line or making a comedy out of The Professor breaking his promise/The Genie showing up.

I JUST REALIZED 32:03 WAS FORESHADOWING

Hotdog Saga (Hotdaga if you will) was the precursor to Puppet History in regards to Shane’s creativity. The duo of Shane and Ryan carried Buzzfeed and I’m beyond proud our ghouly-boys ditched the confines of Buzzfeed.

The funniest part is when Ryan’s body couldn’t accept the fact he actually got a bonus point 😂

I was really afraid at the end there that he was serious about the "no genie talk" -rule. I adore the lore, and as far as I remember everyone in the comments did so too. I'm excited for what's to come! (oh btw amazing episode as always, I don't know what it is with puppet history but every episode always feels like home.)

If you look in the notice board in the background you can see a sign saying ‘research protection spells using magic _____’ that I think says slaves or suits (suits doesn’t really make sense lol). Plus the code on the computer ? Lore has got to be happening this season!

It reminds me of George Carlin talking about the Rule of Three. In comedy something gets funnier the first three times then it gets less funny. But Carlin talked about the rule of 23 in that after you say it a ridiculous amount of times it starts to get funny again until it’s hilarious.

seeing ryan trying not to lose it on the professor is kind of sweet and also a bit terrifying
