I can say that your salt water test, while it may seem excessive for most, my grips do get soaked down here in east Texas with 90+ percent humidity and 100+ degree weather. Okay so what pair are YOU gonna use? And why? It was a fun video and just cool ideas and entertaining, but would’ve loved to know what you liked most about the winning pair (and other top contenders). Like you said, lots of personal preference involved so the more detail about each grip, the better I can make a choice on which pair might fit my preferences best. Regardless, tons of fun and loved the ideas for the tests! Blow em up the way I blow up in the first round of most WODs! 😂

And they just are the ones that were decent enough on the basic tests and then just happened to survive these crazy tests that have nothing to do with the nuance or personal preferences. Just stand up to literal abuse haha. 10/10 entertainment. But not the best review of the winners cause idk what he likes specifically about them. But I know what he didn’t like about losers (and some what he did like about them)

The tanerite test was the most relevant for me based on living in the wild West Az where your friends routinely try to blow your stuff up with tanerite. Loved the video congrats on your games qualification

Well, that was totally worth being a little late to work to watch. I think I'm going to order a pair of the top two. It sounds like the Jerk Fit grips are the most grippy and that's been my biggest issue but I'm a sucker for excellent customer service. Thanks for all your extensive testing! :)

And just wanted to make sure there is no confusion, #DeathGrips are not Gymnastics Grips in any way and are not used for CrossFit rig movements. They are lifting straps for strength building, powerlifting movements like Deadlifts. It was our mistake, we sent them to Jacob because we were excited for him to try out this unique product, but we weren't clear enough that they weren't meant for this competition and shouldn't have been in the running. Certainly they are NOT good for toes to bar or anything like that. But if you're looking for something to help you with smash through your PR's of heavy pulls without smoking your grip strength, Death Grips are the perfect tool.

Absolutely love this! I couldn't find grips that I liked after spending $100s so I made my own and have never gone back. Johnson & Johnson Athletic tape is cheap and straps holds up for 4-5+ wods no prob but wouldn't likely hold up as long on your workout schedule. Would love for you to try but it's more of a DIY than sponsor material. Love the cannel brother and can't wait to see you at the 2019 CrossFit Games where you should be!!!

Ya so looking back over it, I made an editing mistake. It was eliminated following the drag test. Problem was not one piece of grip was on the rope so when I didn't see a piece of the grip I sort of forgot it was on there hahaha. Its on the road somewhere. Hopefully it found a good home.

I feel as if every grip should have gone through every test to give more holistic results. The elimination of certain grips in combination with an elimination format introduced bias as to which grips would get out first. If the tests would have been in a different order, the ranking of grips would have been significantly different.

Thats why I started with the most important for grips - the basic usage of them on fundamental movements. Plus its only me, so putting 25 or so grips through each and every test is to much.

Now you should teach us how to use them. A lot do not put their fingers, much they put folds, etc.

Most companies have 3-5 different variations. If I did the same number of companies (25) with all the variations (3-5) then I would be doing grip review videos till 2022. haha no way I'm doing that.

@@jeannefregil9248 Ahh gotcha. Ya I just chose the one I thought I would prefer from each company, thats sort of how I narrowed it down.

Jacob, thanks for taking us in the test! But it looks like the palm size you told me was not correct so Armour Grips appeared to be too small. The bigger the size the bigger the finger holes. Please measure more precisely and well send you new more comfortable bigger ones. The point is that size in centimeters by default and inch is 2.54 cm. So we need precize length and will be happy to provide you with good grips you can rely on.

To be fair, with bear komplex you never know what type of velcro you’ll get with them, I’ve had about 4 pairs and 2 of them has come in with the absolute worst Velcro and over just a few uses you have to tape around the Velcro so it will stay on during a wod

Where did you find the Dick’s Sporting Goods Rage Grips? They are years old. They have a line of Crossfit equipment called Ethos now. I’m sure they are very similar. It’d be nice if you checked out the line and gave your opinion! Loved the video
