The Great Controversy Chapter 5: John Wycliffe

This week Pastor Ted Wilson discusses chapter five of The Great Controversy, entitled “John Wycliffe,” about a man of profound influence who gave thousands direct access to God’s Word through The Wycliffe Bible. It was the first English translation of the Bible ever made and was not well received by Rome.
Though he wasn’t martyred, he was declared a heretic and excommunicated by Rome. Forty years after his death, Wycliffe was dug up, his body burned, and his ashes scattered in the river Swift. All this because he dared to speak the truth and provide the Word of God to people in their native tongue.
In today’s discussion, learn what Ellen White said about John Wycliffe and how his ideals helped form the movement that became the Reformation.

I can not see myself ever being this strong, and my utmost respect goes to these Reformers!! They sure set an example I can only pray and hope for one day! God was surely with these truly heroic people.
Wycliffe is an important reminder that we should draw all things into question that we practice as Christians and continuously be reforming. And also, wow, you sound just like Casey Kasem!
UNBENDING COURAGE and INTEGRITY, these are virtues especially needed today and into the future. Like Wycliffe and all of the Reformers, we must develop these if we don't already have them. Far too many of our Church leaders are straddling the fence on issues that should be CLEAR to us. We need to understand and accept the help given us in the Counsels of God's Messenger, Sis. White.MANY are reading WITHOUT understanding!
This is such a blessing to have this commentary to encourage us along as we read this book.

Wicliffe was a wonderful Christian❣️🙏 He was an amazing and courageous Christ-follower who lived and preached authentically to his Master❣️ He indeed was a heaven appointed messenger, a pre-reformer❣️
This was very enlightening so much I didn’t know about the man who done so much to bring the truth to light
I believe we can learn a lot from the reformers, especially in these last days when the church is being influenced by individuals who have a strange light.

Adventism is a place where every heretic is a saint is a heretic. *Wycliffe was no Adventist or Sabbath keeper. He did not believe in soul sleep, nor "Eternal punishment" is annihilationism, or scores of the other Adventist heresies.* Wycliffe, confessed Sunday as the Lord's Day of worship of Christ and would condemn Ellen G. White and the Adventist Church faster than the Pope for their heresies. Yet, Ellen G. White praises Wycliffe in order to justify her own heresies, EVEN HE DID NOT PROFESS and so does the Adventist Church. Because for both, the means justifies the end. They both make "strange bedfellows" .

The *“System”* that Adventists despise with all their being is the apostolic authority of the Church set in place by CHRIST HIMSELF, saying to Peter: *Whatsoever YOU (PETER) BIND SHALL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN! And whatsoever YOU LOOSEN shall be LOOSEN IN HEAVEN!* The Adventists like all the cults DESPISE THE AUTHORITY Christ set in place HIMSELF

Wycliffe would have rather cut his tongue out of his mouth than preach against Sunday keeping.
It may appear as if the church is about to fall but it won’t. May God help the SDA church in these times.

May God help us as SDAs God can not help us in our sins we will have to separate ourselves from sin ,and Babylonian preacher

Pastor Ted Wilson! I have many questions for You, but let me ask You only these few: do You or do not think that You’re too mingle with the Babylon? That made it easier for You to talk about climate change, like You don’t know what does that mean climate change? Which U knew that the solution for it is: to have everyone worship on Sunday to save the planet? I’m sorry one last question: do You or fo not think that this is the fulfillment of the three Angels messages? Have You forgotten Pastor? The same people that were supported God’s Churches with their tithes and offrandes, You forsaken them in Heath crisis, didn’t God talk to you (Ur conscience) afterwards? What do think Pastor, is it a job of a brave man or a brave Leader or a cowardly or faithless man? Or also the love of money! Maybe, as a Seventh Day Adventist Christian and as one of Your Guidance, I would love Your respond please according to the Bible. All this claim about "Sabbath keeping" is pure nonsense. The truth is not one of them has kept the 4th commandment according to the law. Why do these people continue to deceive themselves and the public?

Well, not only Him, Our Leaders are talking same way as Him. Do U think like Our President doesn’t know His moves? I’m pretty sure that He knew. He has the same talk: climate change, if He could answer me I wanted to ask Him this! My President what about the climate change? What is the Pope Solutions for the climate change? Is it the 10 commandments plus 1 that has in it the Sunday sacredness to save the planet? Our Leaders are deceived for They felt the Health crisis. They’re Cowardly, and They trade Us for Their love off money.
I am aware that in the US there is a bad connotation with the word 'communism' but Wycliffe can be seen as a proto-communist because he wanted to change the law of ownership because all the children of God that are in a state of grace should inherit a part of the whole realm of God. Therefore we must share with all other Christians in grace
